After following up with the claims adjuster at Liberty Mutual we were told that the vehicle was towed due to non-payment of a lien on the vehicleThe claims adjuster did not suggest that the customer pursue a civil law suit and they did not say that they will provide information that shows that our company was negligentThey have denied the claim and have said that the only liability that we have is the ticket that was issued while the vehicle was in our possessionThe customer also provided proof of the vehicle being repossessed to the claims adjusterWe also followed up with the Police Department in the City of Surprise and they never towed the vehicle or had possession of the vehicle at any timeThis was verified by providing the customers license plate number. We did not abandon the vehicle, as we previously stated, we parked the vehicle in the fire lane overnight and was aware of the ticket issued to the vehicleWe also acknowledge that we still have possession of the parts removed from the vehicle which we are more than happy to return to the customerThe only liability that we are responsible for is the ticket issued by the city of Surprise, which we would be willing to payHowever, the customer currently owes our company $for the keys that we purchased for them as well as the vehicle inspection feeWe are prepared to write the amount of $owed to us off as a bad debt and return the parts to the customer

Customer called 9/4/16, 2001 Subaru Outback broke down, lost the keys, asked to have it towed. Towed but informed him the tow cost is covered only with major repairs. He did not find the keys, set was ordered on 9/13, agreed to add to the bill. Received keys, car did not move, customer told...

that internal diagnostic was needed, cost of $475, ,would be rolled into the cost of other work done. Customer agreed. After diagnostic, determined best route would be a used transmission with a warranty for $2,500 including fees. Customer agreed, asked for financing. Did not qualify for financing, referred to title loan company. Customer informed that due to situation, no work would start without deposit or financing. Customer agreed to deposit, asked us to order transmission. Title loan company never received phone call or application from customer. Followed up with customer, asked to reach out to company. Transmission delivered 9/20. Tried contacting customer and wife, phones disconnected. After no contact, transmission returned on 10/6. Due to busy week, had to park customer car outside overnight, no room in shop. Received ticket on car due to being parked in fire lane on 10/18.10/19 car was towed, when staff questioned tow truck driver, were informed that a scanner found vehicle to be in arrears with another company. We kept possession of keys and parts not replaced in vehicle. 10/20 received call from customer. Customer told of repossession, he stated that he owed money to a another title loan company. Customer was told to contact finance company. Customer was informed of $771.53 balance. In November customer calls, irate, and accuses us of allowing car to be towed by city. We once again informed customer to contact his finance company. He insisted that we pay for his tow and ticket. We explained that his balance of $771.53 for the tow, key and internal diagnostic was more than tow fee. Customer asked for and was provided insurance information to make claim.
