My advice, go somewhere else. If a company doesn't stand behind their work and if they don't have the courtesy to call back, there are others that do.
Previous to this review OTRA had done some work for me, small jobs, & for the most part I was happy with the service. Which was why, when my 1973 13' fiberglass camper seemed unsafe to tow, bouncing and shaking, they allowed me to leave my camper over the weekend, which I said I would pick up a couple of? days later. (I knew the axle needed to be replaced) I called OTRA Monday, to notify? I was on my way to pick up the ?camper. And when I got there the tires were off. Why, I don't know. So, after speaking with them, I decided I would have them replace the axle. I was told they'd have to order and maybe would take 3 weeks. This was the end of February. Long story short, after many, many excuses and many weeks, the end of May, I FINALLY was able to pick up my camper!! One of the 'fixes' that I had always expressed, and hoped that a new axle would correct, was more clearance. There was no more clearance, it still sat very low, and I was told that's the way this camper is.
Fast forward 1.5 years.
I had been noticing and was watching a bulge and cracking that was developing in the fiberglass, low, on the side, above a tire. I knew something was wrong, and thinking it couldn't be the axle, maybe something with the trailer itself. I took it to a different RV business and guess what!!! It appeared the axle was on backward?, and a part of the axle was hitting the bottom of the fiberglass, only 1/2" from touching the fiberglass in the wheel well?!! This was causing the bulge and cracking.
I called OTRA 4 times, leaving detailed messages, asking them to please call me, something appeared wrong with the axle. I wanted them to look at it and thought they would want to see it and could we schedule a time. NOT ONCE DID THEY CALL BACK. I still had the receipt of the work done, but honestly,? I wasn't sure I wanted to have them do the repair. I thought they'd at least want to see, at least they'd want to apologize, at least there would be some remorse. So, after paying OTRA $875 for a complete new axle, I question whether the axle was even replaced, but whatever they did, they replaced it backward?. The end of this headache, I went to an actual axle shop and they did an amazing job.
My advice, go somewhere else. If a company doesn't stand behind their work and if they don't have the courtesy to call back there are others that do.
You can tell by the length of this review that this whole mess has been bothering me for a long time. It's finally over for me, don't let it happen to you.
Appears this business is too busy to provide proper customer service. After confirming my appointment twice over the phone, Jared "no-showed". Can only reach someone 2 out of 10 call attempts. The one time I reached him by phone, he indicated that he was too busy to return my email attempts to schedule a visit. If you don't like what you do, do us all a favor and find another line of work.
Used their website to request an appointment. Never got a call, so called them. Asked why they never called me, said they were busy. Went ahead and scheduled an appointment for the next day (must not have been too busy!). Tech supposed to be there between 1 and 3. No one ever showed up. No one ever called. Tried to call them at 330 Friday afternoon. No answer, left message, no return call. Apparently they leave early on Fridays and I have no furnace for the weekend. I’ll find someone else - I don’t do business with people who have no respect for my time!
Excellent customer service. The did work on my motor home in a day and a half that I couldn’ t even get an appointment at 3 other places. You’ve got my business from now on.
Excellent service with fair pricing. Very courteous and friendly place. Take your RV here to get any repairs.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I don't even know where to start. THIS COMPANY IS SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!! On the Road Again RV came to my house to fix my RV. Their tech spent hours on my RV and still did not fix the problem. In fact he made my problem worse. Since they didn't fix it, they came to look at it again at an off site location and spent another 5 hours, still did not fix. I made multiple appointments with them to come back out and look at it and they did not call me back or show up. Between texting and calling, no response. Besides this, they spent hours on my RV and still didn't even give me an estimate or any idea what was wrong. They then didn't show up for another appointment and my house, so finally we took to their shop. Their shop told me it would be a couple days to fix it, 2 weeks past and still no call or even estimate. Then I tried to call their shop for 3 days in a row and never got a phone call back. All I wanted to know was what was wrong with my RV and how much it would be. Finally when I reached someone on the phone, and it was the owner. He told me I was a *** and I needed to have my RV out of their shop in a couple hours and hung up on me. Then when I called the company back to let them know I was unable to come in a few hours, I could hear the owner in the background yelling and cussing and throwing stuff around. I honestly felt that I was going to need a police escort to even pick up my RV. Outside of the fact they never even figured out the problem, they made my RV worse than it was originally. All I have wrong is some water connections, and I am not sure why they act like this is rocket science. Good thing they didn't charge me for anything, since not only did they never give me an estimate or ask for my approval for charges, but they didn't fix anything. What a waste of their time, my time, and honestly this is the most unprofessional business I have ever been worked with and I still can't believe that a business owner would speak to a customer by cussing, yelling and throwing stuff. I would NEVER recommend On the Road Again RV to anyone.... BEWARE!!!
Terrible customer service! I made a 10am mobile appointment for my trailer battery to be inspected and nobody showed up. I waited an hour and called the company. They seemed very empathetic, made a second appointment, waived the service fee and said Jared was on his way. Again, I waited an hour and no Jared. I called a third time, left and message with the answering service and never received a call back. I had a dead battery in my trailer, no power and toxic fumes leaking out. I told them I had slept in my car the previous night to avoid the fumes. This company didn't care to tell me they were too busy to actually honor their appointments. Instead, they lead me on, wasted my time and left me with no alternative to contact another business during business hours. I would not be leaving this review if you had simply told me you couldn't make the service call. Honestly goes a lot further than lying.
It was Friday afternoon. My black tank actually fell on the ground while I was back flushing it. Called 3 rv mobile service repair companies. Jared, owner of On the Road Again, was the only one who would make the effort to help me although he was as busy as the others. He was out within 2 hours and brought a portable black tank to get us by. Came back on Saturday to do some additional work. Came back on Sunday and got the trailer ready so I could tow it to his repair shop on Monday morning. I told him we planned on returning in 30 days. The unit was ready and the repair bill was reasonable. He has a fantastic and modern shop. I highly recommend Jared for any maintenance or needed repairs The only negative was lack of communication. That maybe because he is so busy.
He is 5 stars.
