On March 19, *** call me to see if I can repair her arm rest and repair the drivers seat of her ***, I responded that I needed to see the damage, she responded could send some picturesI received the pictures via text messagingI estimated $to repaired the damaged areas she replied "why is this so expensive" I explain to her because she lives in *** and I live in *** for travel expensesIf she could meet me in *** I could lower the price at $125, she said that would be fineWe scheduled an appt for March she called back ,needed to reschedule she said she was at her therapist and we could meet the following Saturday , I also told her that I would be repairing several cars at my customers dealershipOn April 3, she came to ***,, and I confirmed the damage and the cost $I requested that she wait in the showroom while we repair her seatShe insisted on watching us (my nephew) make the repairsAs we proceeded to repair her seat we discovered that her drivers seat was damaged in several places besides what was in the pictureI showed her the damaged and she claimed she knew about the damaged under the left bottom of the seat , but didn't see any damaged on the left side top of the seatI told her that it was already thereShe kept saying to the fact that it wasn't thereThen she ask how much extra would it cost to repair both areasI told her it would be free, just to make her happyI explain to her because that area was heavily grained, that would could not reproduce that grainIt would look somewhat smoothWe can repair it and match the colorShe was okay with thatI show her the repairs when we were finishedWhen it was time to pay us she kept repeating that she is not stupid, that we cut her seatI told her why would I cut your seat and offer to fix it for freeShe wanted to pay us with a check ( I don't take personal checks) she became angry and showed me her ID, her business card( she had a bunch of letters behind her names) but I told cash or credit cardShe started yelling how Black men are not good and can't be trustedI'm an African American man, but I told her I understandShe started making remarks about my business and that I need to get better help, that something is wrong with my nephewIn her line a of work she can spot a mentally challenged person a mile awayI responded yes my nephew has some disabilities but she was out of lineShe proceeded to pay me and she only wanted to pay $85.00, no way I said we agreed to $She only had $I took thatShe left and came back min later screaming, about we cut her seatThat she had picturesWell I have a picture too, of the damaged areaI will show these pictures in a court of lawthat this seat was already damaged and that she has sent numerous rude and derogatory statements about me personally and business reputation

I am rejecting this response because: the responder's response is a not the truth When I sent the pictures via the ***, he responded back in the text, and stated the price would be $ I agreed to this price There was no conversation about the quoted price being too high I have his price quoted in my text messages He did tell me if he came to my house, the price would be higher, so I agreed to travel to him for the repairs to be completed He stated that he does not have a legitimate garage to do the repairs any longer He stated he would text me the location and the address of the repair site I did have to reschedule based on my work commitments I was not seeing a therapist, I am a therapist providing services to others in private practice
The responder did not offer for me to sit in the showroom, because this is not his business He did the repairs at *** *** ***, located on *** *** *** *** ** He asked me to sit in the *** located next to my car He did not want me to watch the repairs and I did not I was on a phone call for about minutes, talking to my mother He knew that I was preoccupied with the phone call, and he took the opportunity to vandalize my car when I was not looking at him, while he sat in my car To further state, I was not looking in his direction As I stated before, after minutes of working on my car, he appeared to be surprised and tells me my seat was ripped near the arm of the chair on the upper right side of the driver's seat Therefore, this apparent rip is on my right side of my seat, which makes no sense I did accuse him of cutting my seat, in effort to make more money on the repairs My car seat was not torn in this specific area, prior to this appointment I have pictures and received a professional opinion from another business located in CT In order to repair the damage done to my car, it will cost me an additional $
I did not become angry, as I am a professional woman I did not call anyone names or make derogatory statements against the responder He did not take any pictures after he cut my seat, so again, this is not the truth
I did not want to pay him for the services, but I was uncomfortable due to the environment, so I paid him There was two of them and one of me He knows what he did to my car and continues to be untruthful about the situation He is not running a legitimate business and consumer protection needs to be aware of this situation
His response is unacceptable
