was very confrontational, yelling and using foul language. He was informed that replacement was not necessary, but persisted. Our technician then replaced the hoses as requested, and the customer was credited the cost of the initial repair. Our shop foreman discussed with the customer that he would not be allowed to return to the shop if he continued to be abusive towards employees of the shop at that time.He apologized and stated that he would cease such behavior.The customer in question returned a third time, for separate repairs in the cab of his truck. During the repair, it was noted by our technician that the dash components, like the majority of components on the customer's truck, were very worn and in poor shape. Our technician noted that dash lights were falling from their cracked mounts and in need of replacement. We offered to perform repairs on the dash lights at his expense, but that we would not perform work at no cost. The customer again became loud, confrontational and abusive to employees of the shop and left.Upon returning to make payment and recover his truck, the customer stated that he should not have to pay sales tax on his bill. He was informed that unless he provided an exemption form, we were obligated to charge sales tax. He became agitated and argumentative regarding the sales tax charged. While attempting to explain to him why he was liable for the sales tax, he became frustrated and began yelling at employees of the shop. He completed payment, and was told he needed to leave the shop and that he is no longer welcome to return for future work. This customer, on nearly every visit to our shop, was abusive to our employees and made an attempt each time to have his bill discounted or tax removed for various reasons. It was discovered at a later date, through co-workers of this customer, that he has been barred from various other shops in the area for similar behavior. On the Spot Truck Repair will not further discount, or refund, any portion of this individual's bills and has absolutely no interest in working with or for this individual in the future.
