On Time Cleaners

Review: I moved to [redacted] at the end of August 2013 and I have been going to the On Time Cleaners in the shopping center next to my apartments since that time. For work I wear dress shirts and I get them dry cleaned regularly. About 2 months ago I noticed a rip on the elbow on one of my 90 dollar [redacted] shirts which I thought was weird but maybe I caught onto something and ripped it, it turns out this was after I picked it up from On Time Cleaners. I thought it was me and sadly I threw out the shirt as it was no longer wearable. Two weeks later after another dry cleaning service I noticed a rip of one of my [redacted] shirts on the same elbow spot which again I thought was my fault so I ended up throwing that shirt out too. Last week on December 5th I laid out my clothes the night before with a shirt I barely wear which was picked up from the dry cleaners days before still with the dry cleaners tag on it and I noticed a rip on the same elbow spot. A few days later I nicely went to the cleaners with the shirt and spoke with the guy at the register with whom I have been dropping off and picking up my shirts for months to explain that this is the 3rd shirt that is ripped and was wondering if he could help me. His explanation was it from rubbing it on the desk all day sitting at a computer. I do sit at at desk all day but I don't move my arms that much to rip a shirt and this is the poorest explanation of all. These 3 ruined shirts cost about $200 dollars combined 1 [redacted] 1 [redacted] and 1 [redacted]. The guy was rude gave a poor excuse and did not even offer any sort of solution. I paid money for a service and instead of having a nice clean shirt I lost 3 very nice expensive pieces of clothing. The cut on the elbow spot of the saved shirt doesn't look like a natural cut meaning it caught on something and looks uneven the cut looks like a machine did it as it straight and precise.Desired Settlement: I would like to get refunded the retail value of the 3 shirts or have those same exact shirts replaced.

I am writing to you to offer our explanation in response to the customer complaint from [redacted] (ID# [redacted]). The complaint was that we were responsible for holes in the same elbow area for 3 different shirts. All 3 shirts had the holes In the same elbow area and the claim was that we caused them. Sometimes holes form around the elbow because overtime the material in the area gets thin from normal wear and tear. It is an obvious place for holes to form because the material is naturally stretched there. It is unreasonable to suggest that our process would have caused 3 different holes in the same elbow area in 3 different shirts belonging to the same customer when all of our other shirts were undamaged. We clean an average of 800 shirts per day. If there was an issue in our process, it would be reasonable to assume that we should have other holes in the elbow area of many other shirts, but this has not been the case.
