Customer received an invoice as part of an automated recovery of funds owed. Homeowner had some initial concerns with some of the quality of the work. OnCall offered to make repairs as needed and homeowner said they would "Get back to us as to how they would like to proceed." After three email...

attempts to reach the customer and resolve the final issues and close the remaining balance on the account, we dropped it and left the ball in her court, so to speak, for the last half of the payment. The address listing as listed through Google is an address that we rented until August of this year, and have since relocated, we do not own the building. The new address has not been listed yet as of this response. OnCall will zero out the last half of the customer balance due, but OnCall has offered substantial performance on the job and will not provide a full refund, especially in consideration of the fact that 90% of the work was completed, and the homeowner decided to disregard our attempts to contact.

Bottom line:  OnCall Home Services lied about the work I had requested by claiming I only requested a sealant, they lied about the terms of the Angie's list deal and they lied about the skills of the handyman. It's blatantly unethical what they have done and how they have treated us. In the 25 years I have worked in customer service and in the four years I have owned a home, I have never encountered a company that has such utter disregard for the quality of their work, for their clients and for meeting the requirements of their Angie's list deals. Thank goodness for social media and the Revdex.com so folks can get the word out about companies that have no right to be in business.

happy!  ·        When she called to schedule this service, I toldher that they carried 4 basic colors of grout and caulk.  White, beige, gray, and clear.  I asked her what color she had.  She told me white caulk and gray grout.  I didn’t ask what color her tub is because Idon’t care.  It’s not relevant to thejob.  ·        I sent out a skilled handyman that has over 20years of experience in the field.  I knowthat he did not tell her that we didn’t do Grout Restoration!  She also told me that he cussed, ranted, andraved about not having the right color and having to go to the store.  She wanted Brown!  I also know this is not true.  He works with people every day and getsexcellent reviews.  He performed the workthat need to be done.  I asked her tosend me pictures so I could see the work but she refused.  We tried to resolve this matter but unfortunately she wasnot willing to participate in the conversation. I had to end the call because of her name calling, language, and being totallyout of control.  I offered to talk to herat any time when she was calm.  It’s hardto help someone who doesn’t want to be helped.She’s right about one thing- Out of my 40 years in customer service,this is one of the worst experiences I have had with a customer.  We take pride in providing our customers withgreat customer service and excellent craftsmanship!  We do work for hundreds of people and I’m notsaying mistakes are never made because that is human nature, but we do our bestto correct those mistakes and make people happy.  I do realize that we all work hard for our money and we allhave kids, grandkids, and obligations!  Butjust for thought.  I think this may be apattern with this customer and she has learned to work people and I wonder howmany times she has thrown a fit and gotten work done for free or gotten hermoney back.  Best Regards!OnCall Home Service
