I had a very similar negative experience with this vendor on I had purchased a Living Huntington Certificate that gives a small discount for this businessI went into this store and chose a small infant hat ($58)I informed the owner, Terry, that I would be using the CertificateHer initial nasty response was "I don't do Living Huntington anymoreThat has to be expired!" I told her it expires in NovemberShe said "what year??!!"I showed it to her on my phone and she said she wouldn't accept a "phone coupon", and that it would have to be printed out I told her I would print it and bring it backShe then said she wouldn't accept my certificate for just a baby hatShe would only honor it for an "outfit" I then picked out a $itemThe following day, I went to pick it up because she couldn't do the personalization that day, as she was busy with her computer/cable guyWhen I attempted to pay her for the remainder owed, she said the item was now $plus tax!! I asked why there was an extra $charge and she said it was for personalizationI pointed out that there are a few clear signs that say "free personalization" and she said "Not with a coupon!" I even asked her what her tax base was and she responded "about 9%!!" I noticed that the price went up on the item after she asked me where I lived and said "Oh,, that's a really nice area" I told her I felt it was highly unethical for her to just tack on another five dollars and she went on a crazed rant!! She told me I had "coupon mentality" and that she had poured her "heart and soul" into personalizing! I myself am an artist and I can tell you that "heart and soul" is not something I would attribute to personalizing a baby garment Terry raised her voice and continued with her rant, so much so that she gave me the shakes! I offered her another $15, just to stop the madness, and she just kept up her verbal abuse I told her "Do you realize you're going to lose a customer because of $5?" Her bizarre response was, "it's OK, that was your intent anywayNot to pay me for my work!! If I had a lot of money, I would even tip for my work! You don't appreciate me, that's fine! " She finally relented and accepted the additional $ She walked me to the door of her store still ranting! I have never in my 60+ years had to endure such humiliation, negativity, and anger! By the way, nothing in the store has a price tag! RUN, don't walk away from this vendor!!!
