Mother was pressured into giving license and other info before and decision was made for financing.

Mother was pressured into giving personal information for financing when no contract was signed or agreed on. She is a senior on limited income and is also very stressed and upset. She said twice she was not interested and was still pressured

Desired Outcome

Complete destruction of personal info and cease and stop of all activity

One Day Roofing Response • May 05, 2020

Good morning,

This has been cancelled in our system and the banks system the day I spoke with you sir. See attachments. You called me directly, very hostile and I calmly told you we would cancel this. Which we did. If you pursue this any further we will be filing legal actions directly against you. You stated we used pressure style techniques to make your mother give us her info. First and foremost and I cant say this any clearer WE HAVE EVERY CALL RECORDED. I listened back to the entire conversation in us asking your mother if she wanted to get pre-approved. She did'nt say no 3 times....2 times..... Sir She didnt say no not a SINGLE TIME. Maybe if you were there you would have heard this but if your false claims are not cancelled through the Revdex.com we will take matters into our own hands. We understand as parents become elderly you wish to protect them, but attacking our business practices and costing us future business without the facts is not the way to do it. Best of luck.

Cold calling with people that can not speak english or pronouce names
This company is failing not only the law, by honoring the do not call list, but also doing the citizens of this country a significant disservice by apparantly not using citizens for their cold calls. These persons have the inability to properly pronounce the persons name that they are calling.
I find that to be extremely disrespectful.

Desired Outcome

Complete and total removal from their call list A written and signed, letter of apology for this by the owner/president.

One Day Roofing Response • Apr 05, 2020

Hello Once Again Mr ***,

As we spoke the other day the details have not changed. I explained that we as a company do ZERO cold calling. Your info was sent to us through a web form you filled out with one of our partners. The data is time stamped and transferred to us digitally through their API. This info was sent to us 3/3/20 8:03pm and the info was set to out DNC list on 3/28/20 at 11:15am after your request. Attached are the images and time stamps. I hope this clears things up and we do apologize.

Customer Response • Apr 07, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
All I can say is that no matter how your company acquired my information and you had a 3ed world call center call me *as you said your company owns the call center). With that in mind if any member or representative of your company puts forth a bad or improper contact then you are ultimately responsible. I have reached out to the information providing organization and they have apologized for their failure in releasing my information.
Your company is, as I envision from our discussion is "UNPATRIOTIC" and just out to make a quick buck.
I will pass the bulk of this incident to everyone I know and as long as I never hear from your "company" unless I reach out first, then we will have no other reason to communicate again.
Please have a nice day.

Contact dollar amount change, based on service and no new updated contrct for reason. Cost change without downpayment listed on bill posted on door
On December 17 I was charged 9,994 to replace my roof with the hole in the front allowing birds to live. I agreed to this amount that was told to me by the salesman which covered everything including the hole. At this time I made a good faith payment of 2,000.00. The workers came out started on the repairs. I received a call after the work was almost finished from a financial person stating that due to some unforeseen issues there will be an additional charge. I received another call stating they were completed and I needed to sign the new financial contract in the amount of 11,024. This amount was for the roof that didn't include the hole in the front which was the reason they were contracted in the first place. I never received a call from a contractor, even after I asked for someone to contact me. This went on and on until I received a call fromm Adam, and someone by the name of Tony B left an acknowledgement fomr tapedto my door. I was not aware anyone was coming. Also on this document it advised me again to call Adam. I made the call and requested to receive all signed documents and changes in my contract. There is no signed document of the increase in price. From the contractors. There is only a document of increase in the financial cost. The numbers did not add up. I have attached is a copy of the document that was left on my door and the note with it. When I tried to call the company I thought I was working with the thought I got windows. The other company advised me that I was not working with one day roofing. I know I have to pay for the work that was completed but it should be for the price I was originally given.

Desired Outcome

I want to pay the amount I was given on December 17 minus the 2,000.00 good faith payment.

First - We continue to want to serve Ms. in the best way we can. Customer service is paramount to us. Ms. purchased a roof from us, under the agreement like all companies that rotted sheathing underneath the roof as well as any extra layers that the roof was re roofed over would be extra at a pre agreed to per square foot price. On the day of install once we removed the roof we found that it was way past its life and there was significant rotted wood as well as the parapet wall metal had to be replaced. WE contacted her and told her the price of the wood and the metal She said it was too much so we discounted off the metal and removed $500. She then agreed to the price and signed off on the new financing with ***. All this was agreed to on a recorded line. Then after install she did not answer numerous calls for a completion walk through. She then did finally rescind and said that her Cornice on her home should be replaced and it was part of the contract. I review the contract to show her in fact it was not and I reviewed the call of the representative that sold the roof and made sure it was not ever agreed to. She said she would not pay unless we repaired it. The was very costly and made us go upside down on the cost and ended up losing money but we wanted to make our customer satisfied. She promised she would pay once that is done. After it was done we called 3 times a day every day and she would not answer. We sent a PM by twice a day. One time someone answered the door and she was in the back ground and said she would pay eventually and to leave. our PM said he just wanted to make sure she was happy with the work and discuss with her. they closed the door on him. WE then called 4 times a day every day for a few weeks. WE recorded every time in our CRM. She would text us and say she will call back but she would not answer. We then finally got her on the phone and she said she wanted us to re write all the documentation again of our charges. She said if we did she would un block the loan doc and sign the completion that night. She did not. I spoke to her again on a recorded line and she promised to sign again after ri re sent all the documentation again. She did not. I called every day and wrote and asked what can we do to make her satisfied. She still has not said what needs to be done. I have insured a lot of cost trying to rectify this and I can not afford not to be paid for my work. expecially now. I am happy to do what is needed to make her happy. this is impossible since she refuses to answer the phone or ever give any possible hint at what it is she wants. I do need her to pay her bill. She does not deny we did the extra work and I have her agreeing on the phone and then signing off electronically on the amended price online. If there is a reasonable offer I am happy to hear it.

Took a full payment 16 months ago and never completed the job. No refund has been issued and I haven't received a phone call back regarding this.

One Day Roofing replaced roof in 5/2016.Shingles cracking, notified company. After co surveyed said we had to pay $500.00 to repair. We have 30yr warr
Hired One Day Roofing (ODR) in 2016 to put roof on residence. May of this year a problem was found with cracking shingles in middle of roof. Called company, (ODR), ***, to resolve issue. After several calls they eventually came out, looked at roof, and went away. After waiting for about a day or two we called them to see what the plan was to take care of problem and was told we had to pay $500.00 additional. But what about our 30 yr. warranty!! So we began to revisit our paperwork and saw the name of supplier who is*** located at ***. After calling them for help, we were told to pull 2 shingles off roof and send to them so they could send the shingles to their lab to see if they were defective. I asked why couldn't they do this. They said we had to do this and suggested we pay someone. Which we don't have the money to do. And we thought we would then be involving a 3rd party/company who could possibly be later accused of by ODR of doing something wrong to roof and voiding the 30 yr warranty. Also we decided that pulling more shingles off could lead to more damage to our home. To date we feel as though we have been put in the middle of 2 companies ( mind you only one company which was ONE DAY ROOFING sold us the roof and took more than $9,000.00 of our hard earned money and to this day they still have not helped us. We are senior citizens that have been taken advantage of by ONE DAY ROOFING company. This is a dirty rotten shame! They have stolen $9,000.00. from us! What happens if bad weather worsens the problem area. Who pays for damage to and inside our home.

Desired Outcome

We want ODR to repair all the areas of our roof that has problem areas., ex., cracking shingles and after this work is completed allow us to get a roof inspection that is to be paid for by the ONE DAY ROOFING company.

One Day Roofing Response • Mar 19, 2020

All of our warranties in this situation would go through a process. If the shingles are having issues where it is not a installation issue. So the process would be for us.

-ODR to come and inspect that its not a install problem
-Once determined its a product failure they must follow *** protocol which is not in our hands (they are the largest shingle manufacturer in the world

In this case the homeowner is refusing to follow what *** is requesting. If the shingles are sent to their lab and they state THEY ARE NOT at fault then we as a company would still go replace. but we have to go through these steps.

*** (to read their protocol)

Cold calls from untraceable numbers. They are part of the robo-call problem

One Day Roofing called me unsolicited at 8 am, woke me up, then hung up on me when I sighed with irritation.

One Day Roofing Response • Sep 30, 2019

We do apologize, I'm not sure what your phone number is but I could look into when this call was made and how we obtained your number. If your willing to provide that information I can look further into it. Thanks

Spoke with a guy named David who claimed he worked with One Day Roofing, Anyway he also claimed that they did inspection of roof totally by satellite. Got alleged measurements and informed me by phone that it would cost over $13,000.00 to due my roof. Well I have looked on google map at my house and you cannot , I repeat CANNOT, see my roof because of the trees in the yard. So how did he measure my roof to give me such an absurd quote. Told me that I would be getting a written quote in my email by days end. Well this was yesterday. Still no quote. Sent him a message on email, still no answer. Big surprise! I would never recommend this company due to lack of ethics , honesty, and they are extremely over priced.

roof not installed asdescribed;3ft
up sides of valley.roofers left with 4 rolls of material roof leaked 2 months later after
install. No call backs
Dec 12 2018 salesman Joseph *** representing One Day Roofing came to my home and explained what his company offered for a new roof and with what type of materials would be used and the way the roof would be installed 3 feet up each side of the valley, that it would have a lifetime warranty.
He measured my home and gave me a estimate of $16,000 and I asked him to leave but he became more insistent about seeing what he could do to lower the price which came down to $12,000 I wanted time to compare he said no I had to sign today to lock in the price and had 3 days to cancel which I agreed to with the lifetime warranty. Dec 18 the material was dropped off by *** Building Products with a invoice for materials of $3,074.86 on my neighbors yard overnight.
The Roofers came the next day one van with 6 Hispanic men, I approached them and they seemed to barely want to speak English installed the roof and did not install the roof as described to me; 3 feet up the each side of the valleys with a leak barrier but used a 3 foot wide roll down the middle only giving it 1.5 foot up each side of the valley, there was no way of recognizing a supervisor among them to discuss this with. They finished and left with four full rolls of the leak barrier priced at $55.17 a roll there were 6 rolls on the invoice. I was in and out of the house all day with my newborn son trying to watch what the roofers were doing and saw them drop the new rolls right out of the box and load them on the back of their van when they left. The roofers also took a dump and left their feces in the dumpster outside my front door. Feb 23, 2019 the roof leaked it was the weekend Called One Day Roofing which had a recording saying they were closed on weekends.
Monday I called again several times no response received from the company. I called the salesman's cell phone and left a message and he didn't return my call. Frustrated a day later I called the *** Financing Company providing the $12,000 loan and asked them to contact me regarding their One Day Roofing partnership they had to get a correct phone number. I got a call back from *** Finance which said they had the same number as me for One day Roofing. An hour later I got three calls from 3 different men claiming to be with One Day Roofing, the final one saying the salesmen told me wrong about the valleys and their men take the excess material he would come out personally to inspect and repair the roof within the week. That was six weeks ago he never came out and I continue to call One Day Roofing to repair the leak and all I ever get is a recording and their webpage OneDayRoofing.com I saw no way to contact them.

Desired Outcome

Reduction in the bill considering the roof was not installed in the manor it was described 3 feet up each sidef the valley as underlayment of the shingles. Considering the workers took 4 of the 6 rolls of leak barrier ordered at $55.17 a roll the roof was not installed as agreed to, the leak to be fixed. Materials were $3,074 dollars according to Kohls invoice charged to me. $9,000 over the cost of supplies plus basically stealing $220.00 of supplies. What is the fair price for a roof thats done right verus one not done righ that you have buckets in your bedroom eveytime it rains or the snow melts.

One Day Roofing Response • May 14, 2019

Please note that I sent an email to the customer on 5.14.19 indicating to him that the roof was installed as per manufacturer materials and specifications. Indicated for him to please take pictures and send to me so that we could review the discrepancies that he is referring to.

They are trustworthy and professional. They shingles look nice and will last a long time - Thank you.

I wouldn't have them change a thing. Everything was pretty easy and the HD shingle looks awesome on our house.

They are professional, personal & trustworthy. The process was explained in detail at time of sale and everything promised was actually done @ installation.

One Day Roofing Response • Mar 21, 2019

Thank you so very much for your compliment! We are glad that you were aware of the entire process from sale to installation. Please contact us for any future projects that you may need. Thanks for working with One Day Roofing!

They blend well with those we have on an adjacent area of our roof. Good appearance value for the cost.

When you are ready to get the rest done let us know

The crew showed up on time and really took care of the yard. It was tarped and and within 2 hours the roof was torn off. By the end of the day everything was completed and looking amazing.

One Day Roofing Response • Mar 05, 2019

Thanks!

Do not change a thing. The installation crew were a group of the hardest working professionals in the construction industry. I tip my hat to the guys. Will install roofs the same way they did at my residence. I have already spread the word for this company! Thumbs Up!
