One Global Management, LLC is the management property for an apartment I recently rented We are low-maintenance, respectful tenants that any landlord would love to have Yet, our few small requests were just a nightmare to deal with
Before moving in to the apartment, we took a tour and noticed that the apartment, while beautifully located, had previously been rented by a dog owner The carpet was torn up in places, the doorknobs in the bathrooms were chewed up and the whole place had a very strong pet odor We were on a time crunch to move in, so we didn't expect miracles to happen We just wanted the carpet to be cleaned and repaired and the doorknobs to be replaced Our realtor handled these negotiations (thankfully, because I would have probably canceled the lease after dealing with these people), and she came back with horror stories about the people working for One Global Our realtor is from Argentina, so thankfully she was able to communicate with them, but she said that if she didn't speak Spanish, there would be no way to get intelligent information from them We learned that this was true later It took our realtor dozens of phone calls just to get them to agree to our ::reasonable:: terms
Upon moving in, the smell was just as strong I figured, maybe the cleaning brought it out and that it would fade after a week or so But, since I like clean things, I decided to vacuum before moving our things in I had to empty the vacuum canister three times before passing through the living room and bedroom The carpet HADN'T EVEN BEEN VACUUMED!!! There were loads of dog hairs and pet dander in the carpet The replaced the rough patches, however, they never replaced the doorknobs This was just unacceptable to me It took a full five months of leaving the windows open before the odor dissipated
We also noticed upon moving in that the heater was not working There are only a few weeks out of the year when it gets cold, but I think it's fair to expect everything to be in working order when you move it We requested that they take a look at it and they sent a repairman who was two hours late He came and took a look, but could not fix it He told me he would come again the next day with more parts He never showed My husband called One Global to find out what happened and she literally replied, "well, this is Florida and winter is almost over, so why does it matter if the heater works or not?" Extremely unprofessional
When winter rolled around again and the temperature outdoors was reaching degrees at night, we again requested they look at the heater They sent the same (non-English speaking) maintenance man who was again two hours late He told me he would take a look and started working I told him (in Spanish) that I would be working on the computer and to call me if anything I propped the door open with a stool and walked feet away to my computer desk After a while, I heard no sounds, so I went back to the front door only to find that he had moved the stool, closed the door and left without saying a word to me I checked the heaterstill not fixed Really? Like dealing with year olds
At this point, we had requested to renew the lease (only because we're tired of moving and this building is fantastic) They drafted new paperwork for us and we were ready to sign and send when they told us that the owner would be moving back to Florida and wanted to live in the apartment Fury and relief grabbed me simultaneously I couldn't believe that they waited until the last possible minute to tell us, but I was so happy to never have to deal with these mns ever again
We are now weeks away from getting away from this place and I have yet to experience the hassles they'll present us with when moving out I can only hope that they don't give us a hard time collecting our security deposit back and don't try to put us on the hook for any of the damages left by the previous tenant
If they do, I will certainly post my experience here and on various other forums If you are considering letting this company manage your property, think twice And if you are considering renting a property through them, you might want to look for something else

I had leased through one global management and they stole a large sum my deposit monies . A conniving dishonest and very difficult person to deal with. She is Spanish and acts like she can't speak any English , so she does not have to deal with no speaking Hispanics. They avoid there tenants calls 98 percent of time and once u do get on phone after many tries , [redacted] plays dum. All I want is to wash my hands clean from them yet they still have to be in picture since not returning small small unfortunate portion of deposit check have not received back. I will never rent or go thru this management every again. Beware of difficulties and unneessary in professionalism
