One Hour Air Conditioning Reviews (6)

I called One Hour AC out and after calling them out to my home times, the issue was not fixed by them and they still charged me On 7/3/I called River City's One Hour Air Conditioning to my home and they sent the Technician [redacted] outI told him the issue and he went in the attic and looked at my unit came down and talked to me about it According to my bill, he cleaned and replaced the drain lineI paid him $on my credit cardAbout an hour to hours after he left the air stopped working againI called them back [redacted] came out again and "fixed" the issue About an hour after he left, the air stopped working again I called and asked them to come out because the issue is not fixed After thinking about it and realizing that they or [redacted] couldn't fix my issue, I called them and told them to cancel my request and just have the manager call me The Operator told me that the manager would not be in until Monday (7/6/15) On Monday, the manager called me and I explained what had happened He was very unconcerned and basically explained that the technician did his part and it is not his fault that the air stopped working I asked him that since they did not fix my issue, can I just get a refund He said no they can come back out there and look at the unit I explained that I had someone to come out and fix it already He was very rude and started to talk about other company and that they probably didn't fix the issue correctly and that he will bring out an inspector and they would probably disconnect my unit I just really want my money back They did not provide the service I paid for I paid them to fix the air conditioner and they did not

I had an appointment scheduled for a tech to arrive at 11:00-11:30am, after calling twice and being told the tech was "on his way" he arrived just after 3:00pm The tech added freon to my unit and gave me two different quotes, the cheaper quote was if I signed up to be a member I asked him if I could pay the lower quote since they were four hours late He refused this offer I asked him what the sign on the side of the van meant that says "always on time, or you don't pay a dime" He apologized again and said he had to charge me full price, then he told me if I signed up with a membership I would be bumped up the list and wouldn't have to wait next time I informed him that there would not be a "next time"

This company used a "bait and switch" method with us, and used extreme pricing to try to force us into a maintenance contractI feel our age and the flooding in the area contributed to this price gougingI originally called the" Kelly Scott" listing in the phone book on Sunday, Sept4thThey did not tell me that the company was now "One Hour Air." I had always had excellent service from Kelly-ScottI asked if this was "Kelly Scott," and they said "yes." I told them that my husband had gone in the attic, and there was water in the pan of our central air unitWe wanted the pan drainedI also said we had an Amana window- mounted unit in our sun roomI requested the following services: Do routine maintenance on both units and unclog the drain pan, as my husband is years old, and I didn't want him to do it I was quoted a price of $ for the cleaning of each unit and a charge for unstopping the drainEven though these maintenance charges were approximately $ more for both units than the previous year, we agreedWhen the technician arrived, he told me upon entering the house that he knew there was water in the panYet we were charged a "$"diagnostic fee." This was never charged before by the other companyThen we were told we would be charged almost double for the services, unless we signed an annual maintenance contractWe were never told any "special" prices given on the phone were only if you signed a maintenance contractAlso, we would have never used this company if they would have told us in ADVANCE that they did not service our "Amana" unitKelly Scott always didI called a manager named "***" and he did not offer to do anythingThe company claims they "tape" the incoming service callsI would like a copy of our initial recording and a cancellation of the "diagnostic" chargeThis will prove what I am sayingI have a copy of the price gouging, tooIf they had said they charged $ for a SERVICE CALL, given the correct charge for servicing ( they wanted $more for unit) given me a price to unclog the drain, and told me they didn't service Amanas BEFORE arriving at my house, I would have politely declinedThey did not do any of these

I would not recommend this company ever. I had a tech come out to service our AC because it was not running. He told us everything was burned up and that it would cost $1750 to repair or that we should replace the system. I called another AC company and they came out and fixed our AC for $240. They said that the tech from One hour AC quoted things to be fixed that were not even broken. Also, the tech from One hour did not put back everything he dismantled. It's almost criminal what they did. Go elsewhere for your AC needs. Seriously.

I called One Hour AC out and after calling them out to my home 3 times, the issue was not fixed by them and they still charged me.
On 7/3/2015 I called River City's One Hour Air Conditioning to my home and they sent the Technician [redacted] out. I told him the issue and he went in the attic and looked at my unit came down and talked to me about it. According to my bill, he cleaned and replaced the drain line. I paid him $434.00 on my credit card. About an hour to 2 hours after he left the air stopped working again. I called them back. [redacted] came out again and "fixed" the issue. About an hour after he left, the air stopped working again. I called and asked them to come out because the issue is not fixed. After thinking about it and realizing that they or [redacted] couldn't fix my issue, I called them and told them to cancel my request and just have the manager call me. The Operator told me that the manager would not be in until Monday (7/6/15). On Monday, the manager called me and I explained what had happened. He was very unconcerned and basically explained that the technician did his part and it is not his fault that the air stopped working. I asked him that since they did not fix my issue, can I just get a refund. He said no they can come back out there and look at the unit. I explained that I had someone to come out and fix it already. He was very rude and started to talk about other company and that they probably didn't fix the issue correctly and that he will bring out an inspector and they would probably disconnect my unit. I just really want my money back. They did not provide the service I paid for. I paid them to fix the air conditioner and they did not.

We had the entire heating and air conditioner units installed in 2013. The initial installer had hot air from our attic blowing into our house within one hour of installation. I specifically requested they not send the same person out to fix the horrific install. They sent him anyway. The first two years with yearly check ups showed no problems with the unit. Suddenly, our drip pan was overfilling and causing air conditioning unit to trip off. They have come out and broken a screw and strap; indicated condensation was coming from coil; indicated we needed aprox 1500 dollars more work on it. My husband went into the attic (he is an engineer) to empty the rapidly filling pan. He found the leak and found tape removed by the last 'senior tech" who was here yesterday (Aug 4, 2016) allowing cool air to escape into the attic. The tech told me (left no paperwork btw) his boss, [redacted] would phone us between 6-7 last night which never happened. We are extremely displeased with their service and we purchased an extended warranty. We have not touched the unit and are currently going up to empty the pan daily. The tech yesterday took pictures to show "[redacted]" what he saw as the problem which would need money to repair. This company has questionable practices which leads me to believe they are creating problems for consumers. All work done is documented except yesterday as he had no paperwork for me to sign and made no report; just spoke to "[redacted]" outside my hearing.
