One Source Residential Services Reviews (%countItem)

I hired this company in July of 2017. I barely in *** but my mother lives in the house. She reported that the technician was spending 5-10 minutes every service visit. Most of the time the pool was full of algae 2-3 days later. She left for a month and my neighbor was keeping an eye on the property. On October 19, I asked my neighbor to check the pool. When she went, she discovered that the water level was below the skimmer opening and the pool pump was barely running. The neighbor also said that the pool was full of algae and the pump basket was full of the leaves. She added water, emptied the pump basket, and cleaned the walls of the pool. She also said that there were notes from the technician's visits (weekly) on the door. I contacted the office immediately and spoke to *** (I assume he's the manager) who said he'd go to the property himself to check on the pool. *** said that the pool looks fine and asked if I'd prefer another technician. I told *** that the water has to be added and if it goes below the appropriate level - it'll burn. I said that would be the company's responsibility to fix the pump. On 10/21 the technician came for another scheduled service and left the note that "the pump is not turning on, will be turning a work order on Monday'. I contacted the company and addressed the problem; I was offered a discount of $99 from the pump cost ($595) plus they'd not charge me for labor. I told the company that I warned them that the pump will burn if the technician won't add the water and it's the technician's responsibility to check the water level each service. I asked the company to replace the pump since it was the company's poor service and I refused to pay for the pump installation. The lady (I assume the receptionist) reminded me that I have to pay for the previous month of the service. I told the company I'll pay what I owe after the company would replace the pump. I was told that the manager would contact me to discuss the situation. I never heard back from them.

One Source Residential Services Response

Sent: Thursday, December 07, 2017 1:23 PMSubject: Complaint

I wanted to respond because any bad word of mouth is concerning

I understand how *** feels

This must have gone out before I spoke with her.

I told her I would try to make a better offer than our initial offer, to discount the pump.

*** does not seem to understand that it’s the homeowners responsibility t0 fill her pool

When it gets low. Even without low water pool motors in pumps do go out!

Our service ticket(Door hanger ) stated the water level was low.

As far as not calling her , the voice mail is full. We cannot leave a message. (That’s different than , no call back!)

I sent another letter to *** yesterday, stating we would go 50/50 on the pump and not charge labor.

However we need payment for two of the three months that her account is behind , before proceeding.

Thanks

Customer Response

Regards,

Hello,

I read the response from the company and received the letter with an offer to replace the pump 50/50 plus not to charge for the labor. However, I just received the call from the company and tried to touch the bases to make sure we were on the same page. The manager rudely told me that they won't be replacing my pump and they would the credit for November (for the service which never was provided) and I should find someone "better" who'd replace my pump, stating: "Find someone else. We are done" and hang up on me.

As far as his explanation about lower pool level. I kept all door notes and none of them stated that the pool water level was low. Instead, one of them stated that the water was turned off.

as we know, lower lever leads to the pump to burn, which happened to the pump. I found the company being responsible for it. Their technician should've notified that the pool lever was low. It never was done.

I won't be paying three months of the service unless the pump issue is resolved. I tried to call back to speak to the manager but he hang up on me again.

Since there is no agreement has occurred, I'm asking for further investigation.

Thank you,

with best regards,

***

I found it very disrespectful and unprofessional.
