Revdex.com:I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.The owner's response to my complaint is not satisfactory, and she states in response to my complaint that 1) I did not agree to purchase thicker furniture pads; and 2) her moving company cannot be held responsible for any damage to my property that could have occurred during transport and unloading as reasons for not accepting responsibility for damages.In response to her first point, I had rented 6 dozen moving blankets from the rental truck company, and in fact, the owner of the moving company rented an additional 6 dozen moving blankets when she picked up my rental truck.  Thus I had 144 moving blankets available for my move.  And while they are thinner than the ones she recommend that I purchase, there were enough blankets to wrap around my items, and more than one blanket could have been used to protect my items if the ones available were too thin.  My complaint is that the owner, who was inside my moving truck, handling and directing the entire loading process, did not bother to use any of the blankets for the items that sustained damage.  In fact, I returned 3 dozen blankets to the rental truck company prior to transport because the owner did not use them all.In response to the second claim, the separate movers that were hired to unload my truck at my destination informed me of the damage prior to unloading the truck.  As stated in my initial complaint, there was no damage to the items that I had personally boxed and provided the owner's moving company to load, and yet, the sole damages to property was the furniture and appliances that could not be boxed.  The only "protection" that some of the damaged items had was some plastic wrap.  For the most part, they did not even bother to remove legs or finials or other detachable parts to limit damage to those pieces.  I do not dispute that some damage to property during the moving process is probably unavoidable; however, the severity and extent of damage is beyond what should be reasonably expected and could have been minimized or avoided if One Step Moving took the appropriate precautions of using moving blankets and removing detachable parts.  I hired so-called professional movers for the very fact that they are experienced and knowledgeable, and they would take the appropriate steps to safely and adequately protect and load the moving truck.  To this effort, One Step Moving and the owner were negligent and are responsible for damages.  Even the true professional movers I hired at my unloading destination questioned whether I had actually used professional movers to load my truck.I have [redacted] pictures of some of the damage sustained to my property.Regards,[redacted]
