Review: To B.B.B

This is a letter of explanation and complaint about

“One Stop Auto Repair Shop” in Lathrop, CA.

On Saturday Feb. 21,2015 we brought our Jeep Grand Cherokee to repair shop around 10:00 a.m, we explained the problem, that our Jeep would sputter at times, and would die out at a stop, mechanic said we would have to leave the Jeep and he would run a diagnostic on it, so we did. Then around 3:00 p.m. same day my son calls us, he’s on the freeway with friends going towards bay area, he see’s my Jeep on the freeway going passed pleasington! He video records the jeep on the freeway, the man driving the jeep was not the same guy I left the car with! Then there’s a lady in the passenger side and a kid in the back seat. We could not believe this, my son takes his exit but he said the guy kept driving passed Pleasington, and who knows where.

On the same day my husband drove by the shop to see if our Jeep was there on the property, it was not, he drove by again around closing time, Jeep was not there on property (other cars were) in fact, Jeep was not there all weekend.

Sunday, Deb/ 22, 2015 I called Lathrop Police, I talked to Officer about everything that happened, he did agree that was odd for a shop to do and how I should talk to shop manager,

I just wanted Police to know just in case anything happens to my Jeep.

My husband calls repair shop Monday Feb. 23, 2015. Mechanic explains they are not done with diagnostic test. “We did not say anything to him on the phone, I did not trust them at this point, as far as I know they could break something else on the jeep, I f I confronted him on phone about the long drive and a family in the car.

The Mechanic calls us Monday Feb. 23, 2015 around 2:30 explaining he drove it far to test drive it, and some testing does require a long drive so I took his word for it. He said it’s the Throttle position Snesor.” Cost would be $430.00 so because we desperately needed our car fixed we said O.K. I gone to pick the car talked to him about the long diagnostic test drive, the family in the car, how my son seen a family in my car and has it on video, he did not seem to care:

I take my car home, does not seem to be running any better than when I dropped it off, I get home, I write down miles. Compare it to the miles when I left the Jeep, and could not believe it, this guy put and extra 290 miles on my Jeep! We could not believe this, the O.D. read 171446 when I left it, to 171736 when I picked it up.

Next I call him explaining everything the mils on my car, my son has video of this family in my car, and he did not look like the driver the mechanic said he had to drive really fair (which is not true for the problem to happen the car did not have to get driven that far) I did not believe any of his explanations, my opinion is this guy could of rented my car out for a weekend done some joy ride it and charged us for it.Desired Settlement: My husband took car to work next day, jeep did same thing. We are out $430.00 we still have a problem, this shop im sure is taking other peoples money too, and that’s terrible, this guy set us back $430.00 of our hard working money. He does not deserve to have this business.
