On December One Stop Automotive installed a remanufactured alternator on ***'s *** *** ***This repair came with a month 12,mile parts and labor warranty from the initial install date The alternator then failed in August of We replaced the alternator at no charge
because it was still under the 12/warrantyOn 8/2/2015 I receive a call from *** stating the alternator had failed againI explained to him that it was months out of warranty at this timeHe thought that he got a new 12/ warranty from the date of the second alternator replacementI explained to him that the warranty was from the initial install date and that the warranty ended on 12/20/2014. I honored the warranty on the first failure as it was still under warranty. Unfortunately the second failure was out of warranty and is not covered at this timeI also contacted the part supplier and they too stated that it was out of warranty and could not help usI have been in business for years with complaints against meI do not feel this is a legitimate complaint as the warranty expired months ago

I am rejecting this response because: I will contact the [redacted] department to see what the  rules are . I still think that the second alternator was as bad as the first one and I think the cost of replacing ( $206 alternator and 156 installation cost )it should be refunded to me.

Review: December 2013 I purchased [redacted] from a private person in [redacted] CT after having pre-inspected the car at One Stop Altamotive LLC. The inspection revealed that the alternate is no good but I wasn't told that the car is not drivable . After a few miles I realize the car is not drivable , the alternator was no good and the Battery died .I was forced to leave the car at One Stop Altamotive LLC . When the person who did the inspection saw me he look at me and said oh I should tell you that the car is not drivable. The repair of the alternator was done on December 12, 2013 and paid costs to invoice #[redacted] amount of $574.

Before your warranty ended the alternator failed. I called the business and with out problem the owner offer a free replacement. Unfortunately I don't have any paperwork from the time because it wasn't provided to me and I thought that will be the end of problems with that alternator.

August 2, 2015 I noticed the battery the light flashing on again. Since it isn't even a year after the second alternator was put in I contacted the business by phone again. The owner informed me that this part is out of warranty because it's been over year and a half since the first alternator was put in. My understanding is I'm getting warranty for the part for year from the installation moment not from the initial purchase. I told him that I think the first part was bad and also the second one was bad as well just like the first one. Unfortunately he stood he's ground and told me that he provided the work for free second time and he doesn't think that this can go on and on forever.

I also e-mail The busiines , And there was No respond to itDesired Settlement: My car will be repaired in [redacted] on august 12 , and from the estimate I know that it will cost me close to $600 again.

I think Owner of One Stop Automotive should more carefully choose parts suppliers. Both alternators failed before 1 year ended.

On December 20 2013 One Stop Automotive installed a remanufactured alternator on [redacted]'s [redacted]. This repair came with a 12 month 12,000 mile parts and labor warranty from the initial install date. The alternator then failed in August of 2014. We replaced the alternator at no charge because it was still under the 12/12 warranty. On 8/2/2015 I receive a call from [redacted] stating the alternator had failed again. I explained to him that it was 8 months out of warranty at this time. He thought that he got a new 12/ 12 warranty from the date of the second alternator replacement. I explained to him that the warranty was from the initial install date and that the warranty ended on 12/20/2014. I honored the warranty on the first failure as it was still under warranty. Unfortunately the second failure was out of warranty and is not covered at this time. I also contacted the part supplier and they too stated that it was out of warranty and could not help us. I have been in business for 16 years with 0 complaints against me. I do not feel this is a legitimate complaint as the warranty expired 8 months ago....
