the consumer received his sod on 9/12/2015.hecalled us on9/27/2015 with his complaint.he asked for a certain sod. he has a pet and let his pet go on a new lawn. he ajso let his kids play on it. he did not complain when first got it. he thinks we should pay for a new lawn. there is not a sod that can...

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
When I called San Diego Sod Farm, I initially asked for Tall Fescue and stated my conditions which the SOD would be used for, which is our dog and kids. Myself, knowing not a thing about SOD should of then been corrected and pointed in the appropriate direction for which type of SOD would meet my request. I told them that I was building my backyard for their use. I did not "let" the dog and kids on the SOD, it is for them. I understand that there is no specific SOD which would completely withstand a dog or high traffic but knowing now that there are such types as "Bermuda" and "St. Augustine" that  "would only discolor and comeback" itself to grow green again and grow in height to a full healthy lawn according to Rick who works for AMSOD (the place San Diego Sod Farm gets their product from). This should of been addressed from the professionals to myself upon our phone conversation before the order was made and I spent all weekend installing it. Once I installed the SOD after it was delivered on 09/12, my wife and I recognized the damage immediately and thought it would recover but it did not. We are not even remotely satisfied with the demeaning behavior from multiple employees there and it has affected our family. It is unacceptable and we do not accept their response. We are not asking them to send us new SOD free of charge, we are simply asking that we get refunded for a product that was recommended and does not meet even one of our needs. Thank you.

he never said anything to me about kids and pets. we have been  selling sod for three years . he got his sod and let them on it right away. you have to stay off a new lawn  for four weeks. we should not have to refund his money

Review: My wife and I have had a terrible experience with this company! we don't know anything about sod except to water and cut it and we put our trust into this company to guide us in the right direction for what type of sod would best fit our families needs. we told them upon ordering the sod that we have 2 children and a dog that will be playing on the grass, they then recommended a certain type of sod to us, so we purchased it...trusting them. we spent all the time and money to lay the sod to discover that our sod was dying in round patches. we soon learned that that is from our dog peeing. we then called the company back and we were told by several other employees that the sod we purchased was the worse choice for us. the sod they sold us doesn't do well with high traffic areas or pets, even though we explained this is where our children will be playing and the dog spending all his time there. they told us the grass will die and not grow back anywhere a pet pees. so now we are going to have a dead lawn within a few months from the dog going to the bathroom, and then our children will not have the grassy area to play that we intended for them. we were then pushed off by several employees when we called for help. they kept telling us they will call us back later, or someone will be getting back to you. NO ONE EVER CALLED US BACK. we had to continue to call and follow up. in the end they told us we are stuck with what they sold us (basically is doesn't matter that they recommended a product to us that doesn't fit the needs that we explained to them upon ordering). instead they gave us a number to a different company and told us their products are cheaper and we should order through them!!!Desired Settlement: I want the sod that we explained to them in the first place. sod that will not die due to my dog peeing and the high traffic from the dog and children playing! they didn't work with us at all!! I am completely offended by the way my family has been treated and the fact that they robbed us of our money by giving us a product we didn't ask for.
