*** ** had her *** *** Towed in on Friday 2/24/after 4:40pm, with a Complaint of vehicle Started Smoking while she was DrivingShe had made no Appointment. I told her We would have to wait until the vehicle Cooled Down in order to Diagnose her Issue, and
made her aware that we close at 5pm so in order to Diagnose her vehicle I wouldn't be capable of Starting any Diagnosis until the next Morning. I also explained to her I had many previous appointments for the following Morning (some scheduled weeks in advance) which was Saturday 2/25/2007, but I would try to have an answer as early as Possible Saturday (Saturday is a Popular day for people to Schedule in advance for Service.) I Demanded nothing, she Said she understood and told me her Car and her were to Old for This. I Did Say She and her Car didn't appear to be to Old. no Payment was involved at this point so the *** discount didn't even come up yetshe was not charged for any Storage, and the subject never came up in any of our Conversations. *** *** *** Agency is located next door to our Repair Facility, I Explained this to *** and gave her the Phone # to *** *** *** Agency.She did call us at 10:30am Saturday and I was busy with other customers, I called her back as soon as I was able within minutes of her Calling meI had customers in my office when she first called at 10:30am.She was quoted $total for a Radiator and Upper and Lower Radiator Hoses installed with tax and Labor out the DoorI explained she would only pay for the $Diagnosis if she declined the Repair. (this was also explained before she Authorized the Diagnosis Friday when she dropped of the Vehicle)She came in and picked up her car Monday morning with who I assume was her disgruntled Father. I am assuming she took her vehicle to somebody and had them only replace only the Radiator.(since it was already Diagnosed by us) We guarantee our Repairs for years or 24,miles, so we only use good Quality Parts, makes me wonder what her guarantee was on the work performed at the other Shop. Bringing a vehicle in to a Repair facility minutes before it closes with no appointment on a Friday needing a Diagnosis is not the same as going to a Shop early on a Monday with a Diagnosis already performed.)as far as her showing up and our shop being Empty and me not being busy, She is not telling the Truth about That

[The response provided by this business does not provide resolution to my complaint about this business. Storage fee and any [redacted] discount was not mentioned to the customer, as professional and basic customer service should include.  Negligence of the representative to provide accurate pricing information of storage fees or other potential fees at the first visit can allow a new customer to question the professionalism of a business.  Each vehicle repair business should focus on damage, potential fees and costs.  Opinionated statements and poor word choice used by the staff should not confuse their customers.  Statements about the individual and the perceived impression of the car, company of the customer, or age of anything relating to the customer is not necessary in completing any professional transaction or car service.  The representative of this business was confident that the service to repair the vehicle would require multiple days of labor. [redacted] listed this business as providing shuttle service to their customers, which clearly was not available once the customer was dropped off at this business location. This business failed to present accurate information for available services provided to customers as it also failed to provide clear information of cost and potential fees, which leaves little room for a first-time customer to understand their reason to utilize services at this business.
