Revdex.com:
I have saw the response made by the customer and have outlined my response as follows...
the height of the patio was poured to code for the way the landscape design by the owners property.. The old slab was poured level on top of a frost wall and all water drained towards the house and the patio door. The new concrete was a set height per code to allow entrance from the yard (grass) and the patio door to code. the landscaping was a set height and we poured this for drainage of the yard and patio slab itself. The concrete was poured extra thick in spots to allow the concrete to be poured on the homeowners demo project, the home owner removed old concrete and asked us to remove the old concrete chunks that they put on the back lot . we did that as requested.
there were pieces of concrete there when we looked at the project from the homeowners by the old patio. So far as the concrete not being finished or proper thickness the patio is poured at 8 inches in spots and we did this due to landscape layout and code. We did go back and show the owner that the proper pitch was set with a level, and cleaned the patio door the same day. I believe that owner is worried that the patio slab will leak in the building since the old one was poured with water pitched towards the house.  I have told the customer we warranty on our work is one year they wanted extended and we are not in a position to do that only on concrete.. At this point we feel we have completed our job professionally and stand behind our work.
Sincerely,

Review: In 2013 Oneil Concrete and Mudjacking replaced our driveway and patio. Within four months things started cracking and crumbling. I contacted [redacted] and he and is foreman looked at the problems and we came to an agreement on repairs of 2 squares even though all but one had cracked they claimed due to "settling", 1 on the driveway and one at the end of the patio in the summer of 2013. Starting 11/2014 we noticed the repaired areas were starting to crack and also heave up. The patio area heaved up and away from the back corner of the house. The driveway area heaved up and pushed into the foundation pad of the house and cracked it. [redacted] is very difficult to work with and today I took pictures of the issues and sent him and e-mail about the problem I am still waiting for a response.Desired Settlement: Replace all damaged and cracked squares on the entire driveway and repair the damage to the foundation of the house.

Review: In September of 2014 my mother contracted for work with Oneil Concrete. On September 13, 2014 she wrote them a check for $1168.00, this was a 50% down payment. The check was cashed on September 17, 2014. Every time she called the business to see when they'd be coming to do the work she was put on a merry-go-round of tomorrows. Once winter arrived they told her she'd have to wait until next spring. At this time they are no longer answering the phone when she calls. Yesterday (April 15, 2015) she left a message asking for a refund. I'm not holding my breath. This business has left a bad taste in our mouths and we are seeking the return of her down payment because it's apparent they never intend to complete this job. Also, we no longer want to do business with this company. To me the situation reeks of Elder Abuse/Fraud.Desired Settlement: Full amount ($1168) returned in the form of a cashier's check.

Review: On October 2, 2014 Oneil Concrete and Mudjacking agreed to put a new driveway at my house I am [redacted] of at [redacted]. When I spoke to them and asked if they were available they said yes. They required a 50% deposit for the work. I signed their agreement (attached) and gave them my credit card information over the phone.

My assumption in hearing that they were “available” for work was that the work would be done before winter and in the next month or so. However, as you will see I the email trail attached, they did not do the work. In mid-December, they put out tarps without advising me or my tenants. This was a bad time for my tenants so we requested they do the work in the spring. I wrote them in April to ask again about getting the driveway done and [redacted], the project manager wrote me that they were scheduling it that week. I heard nothing back after that. I wrote another couple of emails asking to have the work done and received no reply. I wrote to ask for a refund and received no reply. I called and could not reach anyone and only heard that their voicemail was full and not taking new messages.

Finally when I emailed them I was filing complaints they said they would refund my money on June 2. They said the processing may take up to 30 days. It is now 30 days past that time.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Best,

[redacted], **Desired Settlement: I need a full refund of my deposit.

Review: I have complaints in regard to a cement patio that was done on 9/9/14. The cement patio was not poured to the height agreed upon during estimate and emails. I have email documentation to back this up. The cement was poured flush with the door, and siding was removed to pour to this height. There are emails documentation discussing having the cement patio lowered than previous patio. We had to have our old door and patio removed due to the old cement patio being level with the door way causing it to rot out. Also in the signed contract it states that cement patios are poured to 4 inches ours is poured to over 5 inches. Also in the contract it states removal of the old concrete. We still have cement chunks around the new patio, and now buried in the dirt around the new patio too. Also vial email it states that the old existing foundation would need to be removed. But it was not removed before new concrete was poured over. But removal costs in the estimate where high because this work had to be done. We are still being charged for removal of the old foundation even though the work was never done. I have picture documentation of the edges of the cement patio not being properly poured either. I also have pictures of the cement splashes still on my sliding glass door, and chunks of cement around patio.Desired Settlement: I wold like in writing an extended 5 year warranty guarantying that the cement patio Oneil Concrete installed is liability for any rot to my sliding glass door and foundation in the location where the cement patio was installed. Since the patio was not installed to the height that was discussed during estimate and via email communications. Or complete replacement of patio to correct height.

Also there is still cement splashes on my glass and screen sliding door. I would like this cleaned up without causing damage to my glass or screen doors. Plus there is still chunks of cement around where the patio is, some is visible by the eye other is in the dirt that was placed around the patio. Or I would like monetary discount taken off the finally balance. Since in written contract it states all old concrete removed.

I would also like the edging of the cement patio fixed.
