Review: After spending a lot of time searching for someone to actually design and write content for my site I gave onewebhosting a call and talked to [redacted]. My primary concern was money back guarantee and I asked him several times and his statement was that at any time I wasnt satisfied that I could get my money back so I decided to take a chance and give them a try, well after filling out a question air which included some basic questions about my self and they needed 3 examples of websites that I liked figuring they would take parts to make mine but instead they took and used the same picture with a little text with it making it all repetitious with just one picture nothing ressembling the site that I gave them and then I had to tell them to use another picture and they did make the change no problem and at that point it was a little better so then I filled another question air for the content and I gave them all the info about my business. well when they presented it to me when they were done it was nothing but a cooky cutter content maybe with my name and number in it same thing on all pages. It never had any thing about my services or anything else. so I talked to tony and told him about the content being cooky cutter repetitious content he the told me I needed to send him my content that I wanted to put in it. Well that being said I hired these people to make me a site because I was not a web designer nor a content writer and I paid extra for the content to be supplied so at that point I decided just to ask for my money back because I hired and paid extra for them to do it for me and all they were trying to do was give me a cheap looking web site with cooky cutter text or content. the reason asking for my money back was because if I had to provide them with the info they were asking for I might as well try to build it myself. But when I ask for refund tony stated that it was to late to refund my money that I had accepted the design part of it. but tem assured me a any time money back .Desired Settlement: Just a simple refund of 849.00

Review: I have used this company for multiple years to host my business website.

Last year they called me and offered to rebuild site and make it more mobile friendly as it was outdated. This was feb. 2014 and I was reluctant to loose my site for any length of time as my season was just beginning.

I was told project would be complete within 2 weeks. After 6 weeks of inactivity I called and they apologized and said they would get right on it. All that was done was take one picture and used it for heading on every page. Then, copied and pasted select text from old site. I told them I was not happy and there were several errors needing to be fixed. Next they asked me for keywords and I explained the site needed to be right before key words and publishing. They never modified site or put in keywords but they did remove my old site and published that crap anyway.

They left me with no internet exposure my whole season and I lost business because of this. Not to mention the 2 hours they spent creating that garbage they called a website.Desired Settlement: I would like my money refunded

Full ownership of domain name turned over to me

Full access to both my old site and the one they created until I can have it professionally and acceptably modified for publication

Hi, This client signed up for our redesign special in February of 2015. I have included a pdf copy of the clients project. Our design service is a collaborative process which requires that the client involvement. When we setup in our project management software we sent them an email asking them to complete 2 steps a phone consultation and a questionnaire. The client didn't complete the questionnaire which contained some key items needed to start his design project. (here is a screen shot with a link to that email [redacted] ) It took some time, but the client complete the questionnaire so we came up with a mockup for the client, the client didn't like the mockup that we came up with so we came up with a new mockup that he approved. I have attached all of the basecamp conversations in the attached pdf file, we did recently have a conversation with the client. He indicated that he wasn't happy with the web site even after the site had been live for over 8 months. We offered to make some changes for the client as a courtesy, but the client never sent in their edits. We can revert the site to the old site if the client would like we do have a copy of the old site we can load the old site if the client doesn't want to use the new site we can also offer a store credit, but they are not eligible for a refund. I uploaded all of our correspondence to dropbox you can view them by going to the following link. [redacted]

Thanks, TonyOneWebHosting.Com

I am rejecting this response because:I did fill out initial questionnaire. They clamed to never have received it.Was never told it was collaborative until the end when I asked for revisions they told me to do them myself.I hired them for redesign. I built the first site and hired them to build this because I did not have time.I tried to access their basecamp and was told it was closed.I believe basecamp dialogue will corroborate I was not happy and did not want oit published in it's current state. Bottom line is I never gave final approval to remove existing site and replace with what they built. Especially with major factual and grammatical errors. And published without keywords leaving my business with no internet exposure through out my whole season.

Hi, Unfortunately the client isn't eligible for a refund, he was originally billed a year ago for the redesign. He has been using the new design for over 8+ months. We made attempts to contact him via via our project management system and several times and he told us that he was really busy working 12 hour days, we told him that was fine that he could just get back to us when he had some time and that we would finish his changes. We are more then happy to help them with changes. The new site has been live for over 8 months. We are happy to make changes, we don't offer refunds after the first 30 days. The client's web site that we designed is active to this day. [redacted]

Review: I signed up for a year of web hosting August 29 2014. I had a 30 day money back guarantee. After I signed up, I was contacted by [redacted] saying he would be helping me. I then went ahead and requested a custom [redacted]plate which they provided free of charge. I waited almost two weeks for this [redacted]plate when the site told me a few days. When I signed up for this site, I was switching from my current one due to price. I was on a timeframe to get my site up and going before my expiry date on the other came near. I finally got a [redacted]plate from [redacted] but did not like it. I was trying to communicate with about what I would like more but after I said I didn't like it, I failed to get any more communications from [redacted] at all. During this process, the regular onewebhosting email address would not work so [redacted] gave me his Gmail to use to communicate with him. After a few days of realizing [redacted] was not going to email me, I then emailed him back and requested a cancellation of my account. He never got back to me. I called in and they told me how to cancel but due to [redacted] not getting back to me, the final cancellation was past my 30 days. I am still demanding my money back because I emailed [redacted] before the 30 days but due to his lack of attention, it went past the time. I feel I should still get my refund....this was not my fault. I did what I was suppose to. I would like to have my money back. $244.49 in American funds.Desired Settlement: I would like my yearly fee refunded back to me in American funds as I have paid. $244.49

Hi,

The customer contacted us to has create a template for them which we did. We typically have a 2-3 day turn around on template designs. This is a service that we offer at no additional charge which will allow us to create a custom template for the client if they don't see a template in our gallery that would suite their needs. We created a custom template for Delta and she simply never got back to us.

Delta signed up for service with us on August 29th, 2014. She didn't cancel her account until 10/16/14. We offer a 30 day money back guarantee. As a courtesy we did issue a refund.

I am rejecting this response because: The truth is not being told. Due to server issues, I had to use [redacted]'s Gmail account and I did respond to him and even sent a drawing of what I seen as an outline for my template. My template was not an issue in this. The issue was the return on a 30 day cancellation though through his gmail account, he must not have rec'd that either then. I have rec'd a notification of a refund but do not want this closed until I am sure the refund has been accepted by my credit card company. Just a way to protect myself if it is cancelled.

Review: Before July of this year, I sent a message to One Web Hosting explaining my desire to cancel the services I was using. Apparently, this didn't go through, and I was still charged for July.(The fee was automatically withdrawn from my account.) I found out that I would need to fill out a cancellation form on their website in order for the cancellation to go through. I did this and received an email stating that my account had been cancelled, but that I had a balance due of $36.95 - a $20 domain name fee and another $16.95 for another month of service. When I called to address this issue, I was told that since my account was cancelled, the representative couldn't view my information; however, he said that even though my account was cancelled on July 28, I would still be charged for another 30 days, and the $20 fee was for hosting. I explained that I no longer want hosting (I'm not using the domain name anymore) and that I didn't understand why I would be charged for another 30 days if my account was already cancelled. But I was still told that I would be expected to pay the balance.Desired Settlement: As I went through the necessary steps to cancel these services, I would like the balance to be removed.

I reviewed the information regarding the business' response to my complaint #[redacted]. I accept the business' response in relation to the resolution of this matter, but I am not interested in transferring the domain name or using it any longer. I appreciate Revdex.com's prompt response and assistance in this matter. Thank you. (I'm sending this message via email because I was unable to enter any text in the body section of the "Accept Business Response" page, and it said that the body was required.)

Hi,

Review: I am submitting this formal complaint against One Web Hosting dba Build Your Site due to the information I was given by their online chat at Build Your Site. They promised to get my website up and running so I purchased software and they opened an account for me, they accepted the software and I have not been helped since that was in August of 2013. Every month they bill me $9.95 and they charged me $29.95 to boot up my site which I have not touched because they promised to help me build it or build it for me. I have emailed them to cancel this and stop billing me no less than 7 times, they tell me I have to call in the occasional email I receive in response. I have called and emailed and called, yet just today I received another email regarding the charge for February.Additionally I cancelled my bank card specifically to negate their ability to withdraw funds from my account and NEVER gave them my new card number, regardless they keep charging me, and I cant stop them unless I close my bank account completely. They must stop or I am going to contact my constituents at Visa and have this investigated. I have all my documentation regarding this even the original chat session with their representative and the promises they sold me! Enough is enough! They owe me $140.00 for money they have charged me without my authorization and the software I purchased (because they told me I would need it) that they placed on their server in it is and has been their sole control, I have never used it, nor have they given me any way to retrieve it.Desired Settlement: $140.00 as specified above.

Hi [redacted],

Review: I was with onewebhosting.com for over 8 yrs. At first it seemed fine as my needs we're fairly simple. Their site became more complex with many passwords and codes for every aspects of service. Eventually I upgraded for email capability and blogs which only resulted in more & more problems. Glitches with receiving emails, people not able to contact me, blogs getting deleted because they were suddenly incompatible with my existing template and the site would go down for days at a time. My need for support increased and I'd get very inconsistent explanations depending on who I spoke with. [redacted] was always rude and tried to blame me; other techs would tell me it's their issue that they're working hard to fix it. After working for years on my art site and connecting with many others with serious illnesses, finding therapy in art as I had with cancer, this had a great impact on me. The stress of dealing with constant, unresolved problems and dreading the condescending attitude I'd have to face with every support call or email was too much. I finally decided to cancel my account with much trepidation and sadness, however my health had deteriorated and I didn't have the stamina for all the problems and degradation. They said I had to use certain links with special codes; I couldn't cancel by phone. Every time I thought the process was completed they'd charge me for another month, stating the cancellation was never received. This went on for several months. I finally had to cut them off at my bank. I worked so hard on this site and owned my web address for so long. How bad does it have to get before you choose to walk away from it all? Now that I'm trying to start fresh, onewebhosting is holding my web address hostage, stating nonpayment for 3 months. They continued to overcharge me for at least that long. They will not let me use it unless I pay $50. I paid them for sub-par service for years, they continued to take money from me after I tried repeatedly to cancel. They've been unkind, unprofessional and dishonest, now they want more money. As I felt there was no recourse this has been ongoing since 2011. I still have some automated support tickets from my many request for help. I'm honestly more than shocked at their Revdex.com status and wonder what they've done to maintain this as reviews on other sites have been similar to mine. It's not fair or ethical what they do to longtime customers.Desired Settlement: After 4 yrs of hopelessness in regard to this matter, I'd like to be able to once again own and transfer my longtime domain to another host without threat, extortion, or stress from onewebhosting. Please, please, please help me.

Response:

Hi, This customers account was deleted out of our billing system in February of 2012. The reason the client's account was deleted, was because she disputed the monthly charges with their bank. I have reviewed our cancellation database and I don’t see that we ever received a cancellation from the client. When a customer submits a cancellation the cancellation request gets recorded in A database there are no entries for the clients domain. The reason their account was removed was due to the disputed charges. We can waive the balance and point the domain to another host, we would simply need the new hosting providers DNS (domain name servers). Thank you!

Hello, Your help is greatly appreciated. I can accept their terms of waiving 'fee' of my domain [redacted] however my new web host ([redacted]) needs an 'authorization code' to transfer [redacted] properly. I'd prefer not having to speak to anyone at onewebhosting. Can an authorization code be corresponded through you please.Thank you so much![redacted]

Response:

[redacted],Unfortunately we can't copy the epp code, this is something that enom would email to you. Please provide us with your email and we can send you an email with the EPP code. We did point the domain at [redacted] so they should be able to activate your web hosting account.
