I am rejecting this response because: The "As-is" warranty was signed after the assurance of the salesperson I was dealing with that the damage / problems with the car had been attended to The CARFAX report states that it can only report on incidents reported to them This certainly raises the question of why THIS dealership did not report repairs made that would have/ should have been included in the CARFAX Documentation from the dealership states that prior to my owning the car, there were reports of "Noise from the engine", this report was dated 2/14/14, this prior to my ever going to the dealership The next statement on the document states there was a repair made on 1/28/ This supports the facts I stated that the sales people at first told me the car was damaged and not for sale, until one of the others told my salesperson all the repairs were made I recall hearing the noise as being from the fan, which indicates to even a layman the car must have suffered some sort of trauma I believe the damage was known at this time, and it was fixed "just enough" to sell it, after all , these repair costs would have been borne by the dealership
The used car salesman did call, but the thrust of his call was that it was the end of the month, he had cars to move and maybe I wanted to trade mine in, I told him I just wanted to get this one repaired, and he faintly mentioned maybe they could repair the car at cost- I did not talk further with this person, he is the one that called me a liar previouslyI contacted the dealership via email the week of 10/to find out the cost to evaluate this and received word back the decision makers were traveling and would let me know the beginning of the week, I have not heard back I traveled for work extensively in the past, and travel was never a reason not to respond to ongoing issues at the work place
I stand firm in my assertion this was a highly unethical practice, and to suggest I just hand over an estimate to my insurance company to get it repaired The dealership needs to pay the full cost of repairs
Regards,

Dear Sir/Madam:
Please find attached a copy of the As-Is-No-Warranty form signed by Mr*** in February, Also attached is a copy of the Car Fax for the vehicle at the time of Mr***'s purchase of the Volkswagen Jetta, ending VIN: *** As you can
see, the Car Fax indicated this vehicle was not involved in any accidents prior to the time Mr*** purchased the vehicle Also, the As Warranty form informs Mr*** that there is no warranty associated with the purchase of this vehicle Mr*** purchased this vehicle in February, 2014, and did not make a complaint until September, Mr*** had this vehicle in his possession for almost months prior to his complaint Given that this vehicle had no reported damage or accidents prior to his purchase, we can not confirm that he purchased this vehicle with any damage At the time Mr*** originally complained to our Used Car ***, *** ***, Mr*** was using profanity and speaking in an abusive manner Mr*** politely informed Mr*** that his language and behavior were unacceptable and when he was able to talk in a calm, rational manner, to please return to discuss this matter Mr*** did not return, nor did he make any other effort to contact our company Since receiving the complaint Mr*** reached out via telephone top Mr*** In order to satisfy Mr*** we offered to perform the repairs he was demanding, he would pay our cost for the repairs Mr*** has not responded to our offer

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because they still refuse to honor their offerThere was NO expiration date or "use by" date on this offerIt was clearly a "bait and switch" offer to draw me away from the dealer I was using before and get me to their dealershipThen AFTER I'd had work done, they told me they would not honor the offer and I had to pay out of pocketVery deceptiveRegards,*** ***

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
There was NO expiration or "use before" date on the mailerIf there were, I'd have used it within the termsWhen I activated in early January, the service person did NOT tell me that the offer had expired, then when I went in later in April I had just over $dollars’ worth of work done, but without the Onion Creek offer, I was left to pay for the service out of pocketOf course, I was told that the owner has stopped honoring the coupon after I had the work done at this dealership, not before the work was done or I could have gone somewhere else
Classic deception, bait and switch, and it is unethical.

Mr. [redacted],   I apologize for your experience with us and would like to clarify and address this issue for you. The Volkswagen TDI Goodwill Package was sent out during September of 2015. The $500.00 that Onion Creek Volkswagen was willing to match for our customers was to be used from...

September-December of 2015. Choosing to offer our customers an extra $500.00 was solely a decision made by our dealership and was not in any association with the manufacturer. We simply chose to offer the extra incentive as a gesture to our customers, due to the fact that we knew there were several concerns and that our customers were frustrated. As a dealer, I personally made the decision to gift our customers the extra $500.00. The coupon was to be used by December 31, 2015. Please understand that regardless of our mailer not including an expiration date, we could only honor the coupon for so long, since the $500.00 was directly coming from our pocket. Good Morning Mr. [redacted],   Thank you for your response. I would like to further explain that we did not have to offer an extra $500.00. Volkswagen of America sent out the TDI Goodwill Package as an apology for their Emissions issue. I would like to remind you that Onion Creek Volkswagen was not involved with the TDI Emissions issue, and as a private dealer, we are not at fault for the integrity of Volkswagen. As an independent dealer, we can revoke any offers at any time. We had no control over the Emissions problem with the TDI models, and once again, we gave our customers an extra $500.00 out of our pocket. This was not an offer that you could have received at any other dealer or redeemed at any other dealer. Unfortunately, we will not be able to grant the additional $500.00 to you. I truly hope you understand our decision as a private dealer and business owner.      [redacted] Vice President
