Mr [redacted] is correct.  He spoke to me [redacted] about the shipping of his...

car.  When he contacted us about shipping his car I told him I only have a two car trailer that does not go that far and I only do specialty moves with the vehicle.  We do not offer enclosed transport for everyday customers.  It is for specialty moves locally.  We as a company would never send our trailer that far.  We never have in the past and do not intend to in the near future.  We would never misrepresent what we do.  We have had the same Business plan and strategy which has helped us stay in business for over 35 years.  On the phone Mr [redacted] did tell me that my rate of 950 for shipping was high and I did tell him that I can understand that he has had quotes for less money from brokers.  All of our trucks are owned by the company and that was our cost.  He told me he was having trouble getting it moved so he wanted to proceed with the move.  When he did call we told him that there must have been a misunderstanding however he didn’t want to listen.  We explained that we never and would never send our enclosed trailer that far therefore we would not have gave him a rate for shipping his vehicle enclosed.  When he did come to pick up his vehicle he gave us a check for the shipping which we never discussed.  He also forgot to tell us that the check was no good due to insufficient  funds.  So yes when we were supposed to ship the car to [redacted] we couldn’t take it there until it was paid in cash.  This is not his vehicle anymore as he sold it to a [redacted] dealer.  Also every Brand new Corvette when they get delivered from the manufacturer to the dealer are done so on an open trailer.  We ship them all the time on our open trailers to GM dealers.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[redacted] is not stating the complete facts; when I spoke to [redacted] I wanted an enclosed trailer he words were “yes, we have an enclosed trailer, but it only holds two cars”. He said it would cost $950.00; which was more than the amount I was quoted from another carrier. One of the quotes was $650.00, but this would have been multiple enclosed trailers and I did not want the vehicle transferred from trailer to trailer. That is when I phoned [redacted] and I was told that he was more money, but it would be shipped in one enclosed trailer and I felt that the extra money was worth it. I asked if I could ride down with them to pick up my vehicle, but [redacted] said no...two of the employees would be driving down to pick up my vehicle.
I did not say I was having trouble having my vehicle moved; my issue was I wanted my vehicle to be shipped in one enclosed trailer, which I was promised by [redacted]. He misrepresented the company and the service I was to receive.
As far as the insufficient funds, my wife did not transfer the money in time; we did not expect them to cash the check that quickly. As soon as I was made aware, I called my wife and she drove directly to On-Line Auto with the CASH, which they gladly accepted!
His statement “This is not his vehicle anymore, as he sold it to a [redacted] Dealer” is 100 % incorrect. I live in [redacted] and this vehicle is registered to me and is now sitting inside my garage.
Also, his statement regarding the shipping of a new Corvette has nothing to do with this situation. I was told by [redacted] that my vehicle; which is special to me was going to be shipped in an “ENCLOSED TRAILER. He misrepresented the company and the service I was to receive. In his statement he said that he told me that they only do this only on Specialty Moves was never told to me when I booked the enclosed trailer with On-Line Auto.
In summary it is my belief that [redacted] misrepresented his company’s service and instead of being up front and honest about this, On-Line Auto decided to knowingly ship my “60th Anniversary Corvette” in an open trailer instead inside an enclosed trailer which was promised by [redacted], the employee chosen to represent On-Line Auto. It is not reasonable to expect that a person would knowingly choose to contract a carrier who is charging more money for the same service. I would not have contracted On-Line Auto to ship my vehicle if the true facts were revealed to me in any of my phone conversations with [redacted] or On-Line Auto before they picked up my vehicle. The only way I was made aware that my “60th Anniversary Corvette” was being shipped on an open trailer; is when the person I purchased the vehicle from sent me photos. I immediately tried to contact On-Line Auto, but had no success.
[redacted] is employed by On-Line Auto; who is an authorized agent for O-Line Auto and he misrepresented the service I was promised. This is NOT GOOD BUSINESS!
Regards,
[redacted]
