Review: In December 2011 we received an invoice from Online Marketing Solutions Inc. for a Company Listing & Online Web Listing at [redacted] ($425) as well as a commercial communications directory ($100). The total cost after shipping & handling was $531.95. Upon receipt of the invoice I contacted the company to inform them we did not approve this purchase. There was no one available to talk and so I left a voice message. I followed up this voice message with a certified letter dated 1/**/12 that stated we did not want this service, no one with authority approved it, and we wanted it canceled at no charge. At a later date the company called us regarding the invoice. The representative at this company indicated that one of our employees authorized the service. I informed them that this employee was not authorized to approve any such thing and that we wanted to have this listing canceled at no charge. The person I spoke with was very rude and said that we did authorize the service and played back the conversation. To put it simply we were slammed. The quality of the recording was terrible and you can tell that they made the conversation up. After telling the representative that we refused to pay the bill nothing else was said. On a letter dated May **, 2013 we received a Collection Notice from Account Adjustment Services (which I understand from other Revdex.com information as well as online posts is a very shady collection company as well). They provided a copy of the original invoice and a letter that Online Marketing Solutions supposedly sent on 1/**/12, but was never received. This letter says they will terminate our account but they want the full $531.95 first. There is no signatory or contact from either company for me to talk to. I have also done some research about the website [redacted] and there is no way this would be a viable searching tool to locate a company.Desired Settlement: I would like for Online Marketing Solutions to stop contacting [redacted] immediately. I do not want to be responsible for this invoice as it is bogus. In addition I would like them to contact their collection company and stop the collection service.

We would like to take this opportunity to clarify some relevant issues that appear to be preventing a true meeting of the minds. As we value our entire customer, OMS Inc. requires that all of our customers are to be implemented through a set of procedures and standards that must be abided by, and met prior to the processing of any and all orders. Being governed by the Federal Trade Commission, due to the nature of the transaction (communication by telephone) or in other circumstances where state statutes might supersede Federal jurisdiction, we assure full compliance with all regulatory agencies.

The members of our sales department at OMS Inc. would correspond with a potential customer on two separate occasions in regards to the periodical listing in the Commercial Communications Business Directory. The objective behind these calls is to inquire about whether the respective company would like to purchase advertising as well as the latest edition of our business directory. They, members of our sales department, clearly present themselves, state pertinent service and product information, and quote its full price. They specify that the total invoice balance would include the listing charge and ask if a purchase order number is necessary for payment. Let it be noted that at no time in any audio recordings provided did the party refer the quality control agent to a higher personnel for authorization. Therefore, if we are notified after the fact that a person consented to an order in error, the onus is not on OMS Inc. as their service was rendered in good faith, and responsibility lays with his/her superiors. As well, we do offer a 30 day period in which if the client wishes to cancel his/her services within the 30 days from the date of order, the invoice would then be fully annulled and credited and the respective commercial listing would be then removed from our databases. We do not cancel services and accept the return of any products and/or merchandise after the 30 day period has expired. To satisfy all state prerequisites for order fulfillment & quality control, our administration requires all of our clients are phoned back to reconfirm all terms of the transaction. We are in possession of the audio files featuring this information serving as both a proof of order and a valid contract. Therefore, conflicting claims fail to be supported by our documentary record.

We have often been accused of digitally altering such audio recordings, which is a very big offense, which we completely deny, and that is why we are willing to provide your offices with these recordings in order to prove the legitimacy. As well if an audio recording can not be found in our records archives and/or if it is inaudible due to bad recording or static on the recording we will automatically annul an order if it is requested by a client.

The agent in our quality control department who speaks with a client always summarizes the order, clearly mentions our company name, the name of services and/or product, the costs involved, continues by verifying the shipping address and asks whether a purchase order number is necessary for the payment of the invoice. In every cases they are also asked whether they would be paying by company check or credit card. If a client verifies all this information without any hesitation or any signs of confusion, the order is then ''verified" and processed. Keep in mind that the client then still has 30 days to completely cancel all services in order to receive a full credit or for the invoice at hand to be annulled.

However it is apparent that the client wishes to cancel the services. Although we feel that we have justly provided transparency in our intent, as well as provided quality service to the client's business rather than continue lengthy arbitration process, we have concluded this issue with a full cancellation. All charges have been removed and their business information removed from our files.
