This company has [redacted] us, they say they were take us off the gas and energy provider that we are currently with back in April 2016 when we signed up with them, it is now Nov 2016 and we are now paying that provider ([redacted]) along with Ontario Standard. The guy Naji XXX-XXX-XXXX and his group who came to our door [redacted] us. I've talked to Crystal and left a message with Monika at the X-XXX-XXX-XXXX multiple times to get this fixed and this has still not been fixed. They will not address the problem. [redacted]

Said things were for free and even said they would give money to the home owner.

Problem and Purchase date Aug. 26, 2016. Model Simply Pure ***, Carbon Filter ***, ***-***, Reference No. ***, Sales Rep *** Rep#*** (1st name was unreadable). Insaller name is ***. I am being charged $59.99 +taxes on my *** Invoice.
Sales Rep misrepresented themself. Said they were working with *** and even showed *** payperwork. They said that they had complaints in the neighbourhood of people getting body rashes from the water. They did, what they call "water testing" and said that my water was "no good" and I needed the unit. Verbally I was told that the installation and the unit was free of charge. This was a service that *** was carrying out. Unit was installed on Aug. 26, 2016 and my *** account has been charged since. I called a couple of times in 2016 and my girlfriend called in early 2017. Both people we spoke with were found to be rude, unbending and void of compassion. We were told, that a contract was signed. The unit will not be removed and if I discontinue monthly payments a lien will be put on my house. The contract is for 120 months and is unbreakable, according to ***. My girlfirend spoke with and had email correspondence from ***, *** Corporation. *** ext ***.
Would appreciate any help you can give me. 120 months @ $59.99 per month is $6,000.00. There is no way the unit is worth this much. Question...no service has been done on this unit...shouldn't the filters be changed yearly? Perhaps this is the loophole?

I realize reimbursement is not an option. Moving forward I would like the unit removed from my home and billing to cease immediately.

Hi,My complaint has 2 companys involved.I had a water filter system($59.99per month) installed in my home By"***"on Nov.13 2016, there is no contract number on the paperwork. I also had a water softner system installed By Ontario Standards on sept.17th 2016, ($59.99,work order#***,***,ref*, registation#***)Not sure which number is a contract number on the work orders.Payments have been included on my *** Gas bill,Payments go to *** rental water softner(#56.49& ***,Drinking water system($67.79).When I turned on my furnace this season, I was having a problem with the it shutting down in the middle of the night so I had to call in *** tocheck my furnace(Nov.21.2017,service call ID-Hard to read either *** or ***)I was billed $109.00 for the service call.This is when the problems started.As The Tec.entered the room that the furnice is in,He immidiatly informed me that he could not service my furnace because of the"tanks "that where installed.They are a TSSA safety violation.They are so close to the furnace he can not even get ner the furnace to check it. He informed me that he could "red tag"my furnace. I dont understand all terms TERMS.Im not a gas Tec.I told him I would contact the companys to come and remove the tanks. Well this is where it still stands..My furnace is still not fixed.I was forced to called back *** again(Jan.6th2018),the furnace is now red taged (*** or ***,code# *** days non-immediate hazard)as both companys refused to come and remove the tanks. I have repeatedly called both companys about this issue. I have been threatend with"Destroying my credit with credit beauro,Threats of putting a lien against my house,Hung up on,put on hold and left there for 20 minutes,to threatning me if I touch their tanks.This has gone on too long,I have no confidance in these companys or the produces installed,Not once have these tanks been serviced look at or checked to see if they are even functioning properly.These tanks have been unsafely installed in my home.The only reason I am awear of this now is becouse I needed my furnace looked at.Its been a few months I am stressed every day when I wake up to a very cold house for fear of what could happen if my pipes freeze to what am I going to come home and find everyday from work. When these tanks where installed I do recall telling the installer that I thought they where to close to the furnace and was assured the installer that it was ok and not a problem .Had I of known then that there was a safety code violation,I would have never gone through with this installation of either tank.I stopped making payments after my repeted attempts to get these tanks removed, once they stopped getting the money,They started calling me.I have kept up my end of this suposid contract from the begining.Now that I know its an unsafe instalation,I have no confidance in these tanks in my home,I have no faith or trust in either company,I want these things removed from my property(which brought on another round of threats -if I touch their tanks)so I can get my furnace fixed.I faxed in a letter requesting the removal(Dec.4th 2017-1:34pm,1:36pm),which I have copies of Faxes,I have emailed as well,I called to reconfirm fax number and resent the letter(Jan. 5th 2018 12:48pm,12:52pm).I do not want to relocate as that area is small and there is no place for them inside,I have also emailed TSSA about this and was instructed how to proceed.They void the contract with an unsafe instalation.I want them removed from my home. Customer service is pathetic and I have no interest in dealing with these companys for the next 10 years as I was informed was the length of this suposid contract.I have copies of all documents I mentioned in this complaint.I need this issued resolved ASAP.I am home from work APP:3pm.I am a single mom and feel I was taken advantage of by the companys rep that came to my door.

I want Both companys to come and remove there taanks and offically void the contract as they did not maintain their part of the contract by way of an unsafe installaton. I wqant to make sure they do not sabotoge my credit rating as this issue was Their fault, voiding the terms of any contract due to their incompatance. I do not want to have to speak to another one of either companys " customer service reps" as I have been treated like a criminal with all the threats. Yes i am very frustrated and want nothing more to do with either company. Remove their equipment and leave my home. Also I would like to be reimbursed for the service calls from reliance because These companys are the reason they could not fix my furnace, So far the $ 109.00 , also a zero balance as far as anything they think I owe them because of the measures I had to take to get action for service . I was taken advantage of by their reps at my door, I am a single mother and I dont really know anything about what they installed in my home or if or what they do. I dont need this added expense for the next 10 years . also the papers I signed for them , As I was going through the papers, one of the forms is blank no details on it. I just want my furnace fixed and nothing more to do with either company. With all the papers I have , I wasnt even sure who to file the complaint against , Just green homes, ontario standards, or the instalation tecs. buut since they represent the companys I Am naming all of them, *** and *** who collect from them. ... Please have the tanks removed ASAP or I will be forced to pay yet another company to remove them, which i WILL want reembursments for the service charges

I am writing to you in regards to a water softner rental agreement I entered into with Ontario Standard Homer Services, *** on Aug. 8/2016. The water softner was installed on Aug8/2016 in the basement of my home, located at ***. Two (2) days later, on the 10th, I noticed water was leaking in the basement and I contacted Ontario Standard immediately, by phone. One of their representatives advised me that someone would come to my to my home the following day (11th)to repair, between 9:00am-1:00pm. No one showed up, no one called. I contacted them again that day, was told someone would come the following day between 1:00pm-5:00pm. No one showed up, no one called. Their office closed at 5:00 so I called the following day (13th). Was told someone would come that same day, no one showed up. As I could not leave the water leaking, I contacted a plumber to repair. I contacted Ontario Standard once again and advised them that I wanted to cancel my Agreement. I had no faith in their company to provide on-going service. My Agreement clearly states, in Section 18 that I can cancel my Agreement within 10 days of the Agreement and "No reason has to be provided to the supplier for cancelling during this 10 day period. My request was made 6 days after I received the Agreement. I was told that because I had repaired the plumbing, I could no longer cancel the Agreement, even though I in no way touched the water softener with the repair. I advised Ontario Standard that I wanted them to take back their equipment and that I would not pay the monthly rental. Since then, I have received statements from *** for the monthly rental fee. I contacted them to advise of the scenario and was told I have no choice but to pay. *** also added the rental fee owing to my *** account. I contacted *** and advised them of my scenario. They opened a dispute file and had the amount reversed from my *** account. Since then, *** sent me (Dec, 2017) a collection letter for the full amount of the rental fees and has stated that this will be reported to the Credit Bureau. The water softener was not installed properly. To this day, when the unit's backwash cycle runs, the water comes out from below the tank onto my basement floor, underneath my furnace and eventually goes to the drain, it wets a large area of my floor continuously. Furthermore, my basement floor is sloped, as it should be. The tank was installed on an angle and was not secured in any way - this is definitely not safe. From start to finish, this company is complete farce. I do not want the water softener and should not be obligated to pay. I was well within my rights and the parameters of the Agreement when I asked them to take back their equipment. They should not have the right to report this as a collection issue.

I am having a very hard time dealing with *** at this time. Last year I had Ontario Standard Home Services come to our door. I was told they were sent on behalf of the Niagara Region and had badges to show they were a part of the Region. I was told that it was mandatory for everyone in Niagara Falls to get a water softener. They told me, I would be paying a fee of thirty dollars but since this was mandatory I would be credited the money back and eventually would receive the credit and not have to pay the fee. They came to install two different systems which they were very pushy in saying it was necessary for me to have this system according to the Region. I being a new home owner and a new mother did not question this as much as I should have. They explained the contract and told me where to sign. At this time it seemed to make sense what they were explaining, which turned out to be all untrue. I have been paying monthly fees through my *** account that I was not aware of. Now I am being told it is 7000 dollars and 9000 dollars plus to have these removed and buy out of a contract that I did not want in the first place. I will attach the documents *** has sent me.

I am not sure of what the next step is and can definitely not afford to pay to have it bought out nor do I think I should have to as I would not have chose to get something like this in the first place if I knew it was not mandatory and I would have to pay.

Any advice, guidance or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to have the systems removed at little to no cost.

I got wrapped up in this *** since nov 2016. Since then I have tried emailing, calling, left messages for this company to cancel my services without success. I have sold my house and moving and do not know what to do with this water filtration I unplugged it months ago and tried cancelling the payments at the bank but they are still coming out. I have filed a complaint however time is of the essence for me.
