Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/17) */
I have fully read this complaint and on behalf of Oops Cell Phone Repair LLC do truly apologize for any inconvenience that this attempted repair has caused. I will start off by confirming the original date thr repair agreement was filled out...

and signed and dated by customer 6/10/15 and $20 non refundable deposit was paid toward a total quote of $150 pretax to repair the glass digitizer only on her Apple Ipad Air model. The repair was performed by a tech and final inspection was done by us and customer which paid the remaining $130 pretax amount on 6/21/15 and picked up device initially. The repair tech and I personally tested this device prior to pickup and everything appeared to be working properly. We provide a 7 day limited warranty on our workmanship minus a few exclusions to include ie. if any signs of post repair shock broken glass or any signs of dropping/cracking. The customer contacted us about the home button a little off center and we stated if this was only issue it was covered under warranty however when the device was brought back in a crack was found in the corner. Unfortunately, warranty is VOID. Customer refused to pick device up on 7/15/15. My assistant manager made an exception and stated he would replace the glass only for less than our part cost to "attempt to make it right" however prior to even removing glass we found the device to not turn on or show any signs of life. When it left our store on 6-21-15 it had charged and did display signs of life. This could have been caused by shock or resulted from the reason why glass was cracked. (This is why we cant warrant as personal devices are dropped regularly) We also recommend and sell cases and tempered glass to protect devices from the moment they leave our store/shop. The repair agreement indicated customer did not purchase but may have had some type of case already. Further, the repair agreement is signed and dated stating that we are a repair shop and each and every repair is an "attempt" as it is broken in some way or form and repair is not a guarantee and in fact the customer signs a waiver and assumes ALL RISK with the repair. We also do not take payment for device in full until we inspect and allow customer to inspect. In addition we allow an extra 7 days to report anything that may seem wrong with repair. This was done however warranty was VOID due to crack. I apologize greatly for the non ability to take the device back in and restore after it appeared to have been dropped and/or stress crack. The only remedy I can think of to provide in this case would be to accept the device back and diagnose it "FREE" of any charge however, cannot guarantee we an fix this issue. We also will not charge any labor if repair can be done successfully. In addition we stated we would provide another glass for only $30 so I will do this but if any other parts are needed the customer will be responsible. Lastly, the device is not turning on and whatever caused the crack on the repaired glass may have caused irreversible damage to the device. In that case Oops is not responsible for this as customer did sign our agreement that states this and it also clearly indicates our limited warranty and exclusions to include any cracking or signs of post repair shock which this device clearly had when it was brought back to our store/shop.
