Three years ago I was sold a washer and dryer. Within the first few months the washer didn't drain properly and flooded my basement. I complained to the owner, Bob O[redacted], that I felt that after paying plumbers too many times for a problem that repeatedly remained, we might call the KOrean manufactured machine a "lemon," and that we might exchange saiid"lemon" for a different machine. After all, for two generations,we had bought a lot, and various,, types of product from him.

During this last year I have tried, repeatedly, to make contact with Bob. Not only has the washing machine become eroded with rust such that the opening to the front loading machine is peeling with corrosion. Then the drier stopped working. I studied the manual, followed the directions for "humidity control." Nothing. Repeatedly nothing.

This call to Bob roused him to take a look at the machines. Besides his witness to the drier, I made sure he noticed the degeneration on the washer. With more assurances, he asked for the time to order parts, and somehow fix the washer's many problems. As of now, for a minimum of six months, I've been air drying the wash, from anything that can handle flannel sheets, bath towels etc.

Again, I have placed numerous phone calls that are now being buffered by a secretary, who tells me week after week that Bob has some kind of inexplicable illness. I have my own cross to bear for which I get treatments at Michigan Pain Consultants
