Review: Hello,

On 9/13/13 I purchased a new [redacted] Accord Coupe 2013. It had approx. 6 miles on it when I drove the vehicle off of the lot. In my contract I paid for a $99 vehicle detailing service which I never recieved. I called the dealer several times to get the voucher or some type of documentation that my detailing is still valid, and I didn't get a response. So before I decided to report the incdent to Revdex.com. I cosntacted [redacted] in order to get some type of resolution. In calling them, I was made aware that my Warranty was effective 11/27/12 and in there system that my car had 1,082 miles when it was last reported. My main issues are that my warranty should be effective when I purchased my vehicle on 9/13/13. Next issue is that this car was sold to me as new, and reported to my bank as new also. If this vehicle isn't new, all of the documents should be voided. I should get corrected contracts which states that this is a used car, and their should be price adjustments. I received a returned call from [redacted](Open Road Sales Manager) on 12/17/13; advising me that this was a clerical error on their behalf and they're going to extend my warranty. This dosen't add up. If its just a clerical issue my warranty still would be effective from 9/13/13 and not extened from 11/27/12. We have several issuses here, and before I retain a lawyer to get me some answers in a timely fashion. I figured I could get touch with Revdex.com in order to look into their business practices.Desired Settlement: Billing Adjustment( If this is in fact a used vehical)

Apology

Detailing Voucher

Warranty effective 9/13/13

Refund-Check to the bank

* They're several desired outcome. However I can honestly say that I haven't had any problems with my vehicle. Please put my mind at ease with my concerns. Thank you

Response:

after researching this claim, The miles stated by the customer we indeed posted in error. This report is merely a notification to the Manufacturer and not an accurate account of the true miles. We assured the customer that the miles stated on her title and her odometer were accurate. The cost of the detail will be 100% reimbursed and she has been invited back in for a complimentary detail.

The car was a new vehicle and sold as such.[redacted], General Manager of Open Road Honda, will contact Ms. [redacted] today to offer her a certified letter confirming the same.

Review: brand new car we bought was promised to have navigation included, it doesn't. called dealership multiple times and were either hung up on, or told theyd call back and they never did. our calls are also never returned and we were charged almost $1,100 more for the car than what we were told we would be paying.Desired Settlement: I want to return my car for it is, in multiple ways, not the car we thought we were paying for— model and price wise.

After speaking to [redacted], General Manager of Open Road Honda,I can assure you that an explanation of charges was offered. Upon inquiring about a 2014 Honda Accord EX with our BDC the [redacted]'s came in and worked with a saleman. The vehicle was upgraded to a Honda EXL which included leather. The vehicle did not have navigation although there is an audio screen on the dashboard. THe cost of the vehicle was approximately $23,500 before destination charges and taxes. Hassan offered to have the navigation installed at the dealers cost and the offer still stands.

Review: I will use same information I used in my review to make it easier.

1) after purchase and before pick up the license plate mount was removed, and ripped out the mounting holes in the bumper. Then new holes were drilled into bumper to mount the temp license plate.(didn't find out till I put real license plates on)

2) Breaks were shaky at test drive. Asked sales person (Vito) to have mechanics repair breaks before I pick up car the next day.. When I pick it up sales person said that they check it and everything meets its multiple point inspection standard.. Took the car to my mechanic that weekend (this was on a Thursday) and he saw that the breaks were bad without putting it on a lift.. The breaks were dangerously rusted and just barely able to get milled down. cost me $300.

3) charged me $150 for registration. Had to renew registration 2 months later.. Realized on registration they only paid $4.50 for the registration... So they screwed me in price, and they didn't renew registration, just continued old one(i didn't know this was possible till I talked to DMV).

general manager ignored my voice mails (2 of them) and 2 emails. Sales person took a week to leave me a voice mail in regards to my email. He said it was up to standard and it is a used care can't do anything.. So there standards don't include customer safely and a fully functional car.

I also forgot to mention in my reviews that there was the wrong transmission fluid in the transmission. Discovered by Mitsubishi dealer (there were recalls that I was not told about). That cost me and other $227.50

I am seeking reimbursement for all of this because I asked the sales person to have it all checked out and either the sales person lied to me, or there mechanic did not want to do any work or does not know what he is doing.. This all could have cost me a lot more money down the line or my life.Desired Settlement: Reimbursement for repairs of breaks ($245), and refund of remaining $145 from registration fee. And also the charge I had to do for the proper transmission fluid ($227.50). Total is $617.5.

Review: I was @ open road honda last month, and couple of things went wrong this time. I like the pilot so though I would go with new pilot for lease again, and mentioned so the sales person that I would be interested in leasing the new pilot, and we negotiated @ $390/month with $2000 cash down. And I did mention to them that and sales in turn promised that the monthly lease amount will not go beyond $390. And also I mentioned to the sales person I have installed running boards on my Old pilot at my expense and I would like to get that to my new pilot, they happily said yes, and I was also ok with the deal and commitment sales team has shown. All this happened on Dec 6th, and I mentioned to them that I will sign the contract and pick the vehicle the following week i.e Dec 12th and I did a deposit of $2000 to show my commitment. Oh yeah I forget to mention, there was a promotion or sales gimmick going on at that time which say free oil change and car washes, and I said yes that's a good add on.

1. sales team went back on their words to get the running boards from my old pilot to new, and they said they never committed any such thing, after lot of back n forth they said I need to run to a near by mechanic to remove the running board from my old pilot and the attach them to my new pilot.

2. Sales talk was $390 but, only at the time to signing the contract I realized it's about $30 more than wat was promised.

3. Oil Changes coupons, when I asked the sales team about the coupons, they said they will give coupons to those customers who give a good feedback and since my feedback was not good , I will not get any coupons.

4.Billing period. After 2 weeks of signing the contract I received my first statement from honda financials' and this shocked me again, because as per the statement, the due date for my first payment is Jan 5th, where in I signed the contract and picked my new vehicle only on Dec 12th.

I raised this with openroad for almost 2 months, but no resopnseDesired Settlement: Honor all the commitments made during sale and compensate me accordingly.

Business

Response:

We apologize for any inconvenience Mr [redacted] experienced and would be happy to supply him with free oil change coupons as promised. The monthly payment variable is because a tire and wheel protection pruduct was purchased while in the finance office and the payments were rolled into the deal, reflecting the higher monthly payment.[redacted] is the General Manager of the dealership and I would suggest Mr [redacted] contact him directly before scheduling any maintenance appointment to insure everything will be taked care of.

Consumer

Response:

I did send out a detailed mail to GM of Open Road honda Mr. [redacted] almost a month ago, but no response. That's why I have to raise it to the next level. I did formally launch a complain with Honda USA but no response. Agreed that I have purchased the protection, but it was told to me by finance that the Protection plan is a must else they can't close the deal. If the plan is a must, then during the initial sale discussion the sale's manager should have mentioned about this, but they didn't mention anything about this. And when I have requested for a free oil changes coupons, I have been told on my face that since I did'nt give a good feedback on whole, I am not entitled to get any oil change coupons. I am in Service industry for almost 15 yrs, and one thing I can say is "A Good feedback comes from good work, it's never demanded". There are 100 + car dealers in NJ who can give better service and be on their words, it's a mistake to choose open road honda not once but twice.

Business

Response:

We at Open Road Auto Group value our customers and strive for perfection. When we don't live up to our own standards let a lone those of our customers we try to do the right thing. It was a mistake not to give the coupons and [redacted] has offered to correct that by issueing them. The customer has come to the Revdex.com for assistance in resolving this and in good faith we are trying. It is a standard operation to offer the customer additional warranties. Tire and wheel coverage is one that many customers take advantage of and utilize the coverage. It is never mandatory and explained that there are additional charges. A deal is not complete unless a customer fully understands the charges and signs. We invite Mr [redacted] to the dealership to breakdown the contract and explain what all the charges are.

Review: A few months ago, I went to Open Road Honda for some repairs to my car and was given a quote. When asked to explain the quote, I was denied any explanation and I left. Later I received a survey asking about the quality of service provided to me. I responded to survey explaining exactly what transpired at my last visit and expressed total dis-satisfaction. There was no response to my mail.

On 7/22, my daughter took my [redacted] accord to Open Road Honda for some minor repair. She waited for some time and then was told that there is a note from General Manager of Open Road Honda not to provide any service to myself {[redacted]} or my daughter {[redacted]} because of and that she will have to leave without the repairs.Desired Settlement: My feed back to the survey this company provided should have been used in a positive manner and rather than improving the company 'black listed' me and my daughter. Today's refusal to provide the services based on my negative feed back is a glaring example of how customers are being treated by this company.

Response:

[redacted], Service Director of Open Road Honda, is unaware of any situation and reached out to Mr [redacted] to clarify. In May 2014, it was recommended to Mr [redacted] that he have his brakes replaced and other items addressed as the vehicle had not been maintained well. We would like to discuss the visit with him and hope to hear back soon.Sincerely,[redacted]

Review: Rep.keep refinishing different reasons for delaying confirming refunding warranty fundsUpon requesting higher authority. Contact information. Never got one. On senior official said. I am supposed to contact Honda finance. I requested more information. Was denied.and treated like unwanted.said they don't want to resolve issues. And. Do business.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back which was guaranteed. At the time of sale.

Review: We entered Open Road Honda to purchase a vehicle as they had many signs in and on the building advertising .9% interest rate financing. I spent several hours in the dealership negotiating the purchase of a 2012 CR-Z which we understood would be financed at .9% interest rate. This month my husband reviewed the monthly bill and was shocked to see me paying 130 dollars a month just for the interest on 17,000 dollars still left on the bill. I learned the interest rate is actually 4.79% instead of .9 %. When I returned to the dealership over the weekend the salespeople insisted they never offered .9% on the model car I bought and 4.79% was what I aggreed to when I signed the contracts which is what my contract does say. My husband asked many times during the original negotiations one and a half years ago if .9 % interest would be the rate we would get and they said yes. The finance person as well as the salespeople we spoke to now say immediately that .9% is only available on Civics and Accords. The original signs we read in 2013 all said .9 % interest rate on all selected models.. One salesman told my husband we were JAMMED which did not have any meaning to us until the Honda Finance person told us what it meant and she insisted we were not JAMMEDDesired Settlement: We attempted to get Open Road Honda to refinance the car but they said it was impossible. After I requested their license # they tried to trade a new CR-Z for mine and give a 2.9% interest rate which I aggreed to and after 20 minutes another salesman came to me and said the offer was recinded. All I am asking is for a .9 % interest rate which I believed I recieved

Business

Response:

Honda has not offered .9% financing on the CR-Z but instaed it is a promotion that is often offered on other models. There was no misrepresentation as this is discussed prior to signing a contract. However, [redacted], General Manager of Open Road Honda, would like to invite Mrs. [redacted] in to speak personally to discuss refinancing. We are happy to help in any way we can.Sincerely,[redacted]
