I was scheduled for an MRI w/Open MRI of San Antonio weeks in advance, received confirmation, explained my long commute to the location (visited their website as instructed) and told to be there minutes before the scheduled appointmentThe location was a miles drive and after I arrived on time, others were complaining already of overbooking, facility running hours behind on todays appointmentsAfter waiting min (filling out the necessary paperwork, plus min wait into my scheduled appointment time), I inquired to see how much longer I would have to wait to start my 45-minute MRII was rudely informed it would be another 45-minutes to be seen, they knew they were behind on scheduled appointments hours before but didn't inform me of the delay because of my mile drive to the Open MRI of San Antonio locationI explained besides the min drive, notice was not only a courtesy but required because I was under limited sedation, had a family member/driver take a 1/day off & the drive back due to the hour plus delay would cause us an addition min of commute hour traffic on I-My personal paperwork was requested back, cancelled the apointment they didn't honor the appointment time for & will file a complaint w/my health provider that referred meA simple notification call would have given me the option to wait ( on my terms) or cancel to save me sedation, having to obtain a driver, time & fuelThese people are clearly incompetent, unprofessional, caring only about their bottem line, attempting to force me to wait for care I scheduled, paying for, needIn turn, Open MRI of San Antonio does notify you, has posted their policy: right to reschedule a patient for being minutes late to an appointmentDouble standard to say the leastGo elsewhere for treatment please
