Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Darlene G [redacted] from Optical Associates makes statements in her response, which is at the center of my issue with Optical Associate's business practices and why I am pursuing this While the $is not important to me from a financial standpoint, I have issue with the way this was handled and don't think that a business should be allowed to operate this way In her response, Ms [redacted] made these statements, which are untrue:- That my existing frames were "very worn" They were notThey were in perfectly good condition and I never had any problems with them They were only used for computer work and I they were in storage in their case for a few years of the or so years I owned them- Ms [redacted] states that I signed a form saying that Optical Associates would not be responsible if the frames were damaged "during the process" The frames were broken during shipping, as confirmed by a representative from Optical Associates on the voice mail left for me when it occurred I have a saved copy of the voice mail and am happy to provide it (the M4a file format is not supported for attachments here or I would attach) The second bullet on the form I signed says, "we cannot be responsible if breakage occurs during the process of putting new lenses in your old frames" The breakage did not occur while lenses were being put into my old frames; it happened during shipping, between the time I handed the frames to the Optical Associates representative and when it was received at the processing location Optical Associates or their shipping company caused the damage and Optical Associates should take responsibility for that- Ms [redacted] states that I was not eligible for a new frame at the time I don't know where she's getting this from I was eligible for insurance coverage on a new frame, I just didn't see a need to purchase one After Optical Associates broke my frame, I went to [redacted] to have my prescription completed and had to buy a new frame VSP not only covered the frame for the allowable amount under my plan, but also reinstated the benefit on the lenses that Optical Associates had used.Ms [redacted] doesn't seem to want to take responsibility for the very poor service that her company provided, which has been the theme since my first interaction with them I haven't submitted a complaint to the Revdex.com in many years, but feel strongly that this company is not acting in a responsible, fair manner and should not be allowed to operate in this fashionThank you for your time and consideration of my complaint Regards, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: Darlene G[redacted] from Optical Associates makes false statements in her response, which is at the center of my issue with Optical Associate's business practices and why I am pursuing this.   While the $100 is not important...

to me from a financial standpoint, I have issue with the way this was handled and don't think that a business should be allowed to operate this way.  In her response, Ms. [redacted] made these statements, which are untrue:1 - That my existing frames were "very worn".  They were not. They were in perfectly good condition and I never had any problems with them.  They were only used for computer work and I they were in storage in their case for a few years of the 5 or so years I owned them.2 - Ms. [redacted] states that I signed a form saying that Optical Associates would not be responsible if the frames were damaged "during the process".   The frames were broken during shipping, as confirmed by a representative from Optical Associates on the voice mail left for me when it occurred.  I have a saved copy of the voice mail and am happy to provide it (the M4a file format is not supported for attachments here or I would attach).   The second bullet on the form I signed says, "we cannot be responsible if breakage occurs during the process of putting new lenses in your old frames".   The breakage did not occur while lenses were being put into my old frames; it happened during shipping, between the time I handed the frames to the Optical Associates representative and when it was received at the processing location.  Optical Associates or their shipping company caused the damage and Optical Associates should take responsibility for that. 3 - Ms. [redacted] states that I was not eligible for a new frame at the time.  I don't know where she's getting this from.  I was eligible for insurance coverage on a new frame, I just didn't see a need to purchase one.  After Optical Associates broke my frame, I went to [redacted] to have my prescription completed and had to buy a new frame.   VSP not only covered the frame for the allowable amount under my plan, but also reinstated the benefit on the lenses that Optical Associates had used.Ms. [redacted] doesn't seem to want to take responsibility for the very poor service that her company provided, which has been the theme since my first interaction with them.   I haven't submitted a complaint to the Revdex.com in many years, but feel strongly that this company is not acting in a responsible, fair manner and should not be allowed to operate in this fashion. Thank you for your time and consideration of my complaint.
Regards,
