Although Mr*** refuses to acknowledge the inconvenience he has caused, by not only blaming the company where he ordered the frames, but by blaming me, the consumer, for simply assuming he conducted his business with integrity, I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.I ask that the Mr*** order the frames once again as he stated in his previous response, and once he receives the new frames, I ask that the frames be mailed to my physical addressOf course, once I receive the new frames, I will then send back the old frames that are in my possession, directly to Optical Eye wear via mail.After this I will no longer seek business at Optical Eye wear, for I am dissatisfied overall with how Mr*** conducts his business. best, *** J***

The consumer did bring in her eyeglasses into us on Sept 14, 2016 for a repair on the Left earpiece. It would have been a simply fix if I had the earpiece in stock, I did not. The consumer though that she would have to pay for this repair, I informed her that the frame was under warranty and the earpiece would be covered. I never mentioned the shipping chare at this time, my mistake. I always give an approximation time frame in when I will received the part. It is never an exact time frame. I was informed by the company that sold these frames to us that the earpiece was not in stock. But that they could send us a complete frame under the warranty. I thought that the patient would be happy getting a complete new frame. The way warranty's work we Optical Eyewear Inc, are billed for the frame, when we ship back the old frame we are credited for the frame, but not the shipping. After I ordered the frame it usually takes 3-5 business days to arrive. This is where the problem began, I ordered, then assumed that the frame was been shipped to us. When the consumer came in on the 21st assuming that her eyeglasses were ready, I informed her they had not arrived. I let her know that I would be calling the company to find out why I had not received the frame. I called the sales representative for this company, she told me she would check into this and call me back. She returned my call 2 days later and informed me that she placed the order again, not knowing what happened to the first order. I mention here that this is not the normal representation of ordering frames from companies. I have been in business for 34 years this is not a representation of how we do business.Enclosed is a letter from the company that we were ordering this frame from, it shows that they made an internal mistake in sending the frame to us. As much as I tried to correct this matter in getting this frame to the consumer. I did not know what was going on at the company were we ordered this frame. The consumer came and picked-up her broken eyeglasses, and informed us that she was not going to do business with us. When the new frame did arrive 3 days later, we sent the frame back for credit. If the consumer still wants this frame I would have to order this frame again. Then return the old one for credit.
