I received this same reason until 1 -5 days had stretched into 30. After finding reviews that this had happened to others, I asked for a refund.
Henry said my refund had been processed and would show on my card within 1 -3 days.
It didn't.I filed a dispute of the charges.

Result: My credit card company got the charge removed.

Lesson learned: Read the reviews BEFORE ordering.

Review: I bought a pair of eyeglass frames from them. I took a picture of the same pair from my optometrist's office a couple of months ago and was always on the lookout for a lower price. When I received the eyeglass frames from Optic Styles, there are noticeable differences between their counterfeit item and the one from my optometrist's office. I have side by side comparison. When I emailed them, they called me a [redacted] and refused to give me a full refund.Desired Settlement: Stop them from selling counterfeit items.

Review: I conducted an internet purchase for eyeglasses from this merchant on 6/*/14. The website confirmed my purchased and stated that the glasses were available and will be shipped. Shortly afterwards I received an email [redacted] and a [redacted] stating that they have to order the glasses from the company, which is misleading and false advertisement. I requested a return of my funds to my credit card, which they agreed to do, but I have received my refund yet.Desired Settlement: I want my money returned to my credit card

I have been purchasing a pair of sunglasses on the [redacted] of May 2013 with the order number [redacted]. The purchase amount of USD 299,95 plus USD 29.95 for shipping has been deducted from my Master Card account. Subsequently I have been informed by the company ([redacted]) that the order is pending and / or that a refund would be sent soon. Nothing at all happened despite an email exchange of some 20 mails reminding them to either process the order or to refund me.

Review: I ordered a pair of eyeglass frames for my mother for Christmas on 12/**/2013.

My debit card was charged $234.90 for the frames on 12/**/2013.

On 12/**/2013, I received an email from them stating that they had been notified by the company that the item you purchased is on back order for a few days: about 1-5 business days. At this time, they offered to either issue a full refund right away or explained I could wait a few days before they receive the item from the back order. I replied that same day saying I decided to wait to receive the item on back order, as this was a gift my mother had wanted. After not hearing from them for the allotted time, I contacted them via their phone number (answering machine each time - never open during appointed hours of business); and sent them emails on the following dates inquiring the status of my order: Jan [redacted].

Replied received from "[redacted]" on Jan [redacted] reiterating that I had two options: immediate refund, or continue to wait for the back order.

Emailed [redacted] again on March [redacted], same standard reply from [redacted] on March [redacted], blaming the frame supplier for a 1-2 week estimated delivery of the frames.

On May [redacted], I emailed [redacted] to request a full refund for my unfulfilled order. - No response from OpticStyles.com/[redacted].

On May [redacted], I emailed again requesting a full refund. - No response from OpticStyles.com/[redacted].

On June [redacted], I emailed again requesting a full refund, and lack of response from company. Zero returned phone calls.

On July [redacted], I emailed again requesting a full refund, and lack of response from company. [redacted] replied on July [redacted] saying, they had contacted their merchant and for some reason my bank had the refund credit on hold. He said they had spoken to them directly and that my refund should be available by tomorrow or earliest the following business day, and If there are any issues they could send me a check overnight which will clear the next day.

Later that day, [redacted] sent a follow-up asking me to provide them with the phone number to my credit card. Stating they would contact them and will straighten out the refund issue. He said they have a refund receipt which they will be able to fax to my bank which should speed things up. They said they would fax my bank the proof of the refund to speed up the process.

I replied that day that I didn't feel comfortable giving them personal information, but provided them the customer service phone number for Chase Bank.

[redacted] replied the next day (July [redacted]) saying they will have this issue resolved within the next 24-48 hours.

The issue was not resolved in that time frame. I proceeded to email [redacted] on the following dates with no reply: July [redacted], July [redacted], July [redacted].

On July [redacted], I received an email from [redacted] stating the following: "The refund will be in your account no later than tomorrow by the end of the business day."

This did not happen. On July [redacted], I emailed [redacted] to inform him I had not received the refund.

July [redacted], [redacted] emailed asking me to check my statement again for the weekend. I told him I had and that it was not refunded. He then replied asking for my address of where to ship the refund check to. I gave him my address, and he responded with: "We will send the request out to our refund department." I then asked how long this process would take. On July [redacted], [redacted] replied: "You should have it mid this coming week."

I have not received a refund check, or any updates from [redacted] or OpticStyles.com. I have left phone messages. On August [redacted], I replied to his last email requesting to speak to a supervisor and stating I expected an immediate response. I have not heard from the company.

Today, August [redacted], I have contacted Chase Bank to fail a claim to have my money refunded. I'm currently in this process.

Since then, I have researched this company, and discovered many people have had similar experiences with them.Desired Settlement: I would like my money refunded, and I would like this company investigated for fraud. Review: I placed this order online 4/** and rec'd confirmation that it was being processed, but never received the items. I replied to their email to check the status and they said when they went to ship the order the item was defective so they did not ship it. The qty ordered was 2, and they were explaining 1, but also said there had only been 1 available (though they charged me for 2). They asked if I wanted the item in a different color - I responded no, and if I would choose another item from their site (responded no) so they said they would process the credit. I never got it. I called the phone# in the email, dozens of times between then and now, and it either rings forever unanswered or would answer and hang up or answer with a message that sounds like a residence instead of a business. I left a message once saying that and did not receive a return call. I emailed them a few times asking to look into it - no response (but email not returned undeliverable). I sent a fax explaining with the emails, asking them to call and confirm receipt, no answer. Their website is still active.Desired Settlement: refund of amount charged to credit card

Review: I ordered glasses from opticstyles.com. They charged my card knowing that items were back stocked and weren't going to be received. Then I get an email saying glasses should be available to ship in 3 to 5 business days. I wait ten days and reach out again and ask for my card to be refunded. [redacted] emails me back and says I will have refund to my account within three business days. So I wait another ten days and there's still no refund. I send four additional emails and call several times with no responses. The number is a home answering machine on the website. So then I [redacted] the company today and there's been a lot of people scammed by this site. People have has similar experiences. It's not just one person. I have proof of emails. The complaints online go as far back as 2013. I am shocked that this individual has been stealing money from people for that long.Desired Settlement: I want this business investigated and shut down. This is absurd. I also want a full refund of monies charged to my card on January [redacted] 2015..

Review: We ordered Vita glasses $510.90/ Invoice #[redacted] on Feb. 2015. The glasses were never sent to us. There represenative Henry G[redacted] continued to falsely advise us that they would refund the monies back to the credit card given and then he consistently advised us that they would mail us a refund check. today is June **, 2015 and we have yet to receive the refund for the merchandise that we paid for.Desired Settlement: I wish that this business will cease and decise conducting business due to the horrific customer service, falsifing refunds to customers. You can never get them on the phone, and they barely respond to emails.

Review: I ordered a pair of $250 eyeglasses from Opticstyles.com and it was shipped from "a Miami affiliate." I returned the pair within one week to that same "miami affiliate" (and have ups tracking to prove it) and now, two months later, Opticstyles has no record of this and keeps asking questions like what was my order number? A man by the name of "[redacted]" answers emails with the same questions again and again and it appears there is no record keeping of what products were sent from where to whom. A quick google search showed me that there are numerous complaints about this business. They either charge and never ship product or in my case ship from somewhere else and have no records for refunding a return.Opticstyles.com is not a legitimate business and is stealing people's money.Desired Settlement: A refund of $250 to my [redacted] credit card for merchandise that was returned.
