Optima did fail to
send out bills for February and April payment.  We submitted an internal

doesn’t occur again.  An Optima Manager spoke to [redacted] about this
issue and told her the steps Optima is taking for her account as well as steps
being taken to ensure this doesn’t happen to other members.  We apologized
for the error and she was given the direct number of the Optima Manager to

The worse cable and internet ever and expensive ..Was promised it would be cheaper and better cable what a joke..I have a little dta box for bedroom which has time and no info so you have no clue what you are watching. .For almost 200 dollars .ridiculous. ..and not to mention the slowest internet ever....Beware of wow cable ..

Terrible experience. The day the cable was set up I was told by a technician who swung by to chat with the technician at my house that the cable would be pixelated because they couldn't get to the box they needed to get to because it was locked. If I had problems, I could call later and they would send someone else out. I was weary, so I confirmed with my technician that I could cancel within 30 days if I was not happy. I called to cancel within my 30 day window and later received a bill for early termination because it takes them 7 days to process the cancellation, which resulted in my service being cancelled outside of the 30 day window. I was upset and called and asked customer service for a copy of my agreement so I could review their policy, and I was told that they couldn't send me a copy, but I could drive 45 minutes to their office to pick up a copy if I'd like.

Review: I have automatic electronic payment set up from Optima Health for my monthly premium for my daughter and me. The charges are about $460 per month. They completely missed charging my account in the month of February. I called Optima in early April when I discovered that I had not been charged. I, of course, spent over an hour on the phone being transferred from person to person before being told that they didn't know why that happened and that someone would contact me in order to resolve the issue. No one called and I received no mail via usps or email.

On May 9th I was charged $920. After calling I learned that they had charged me for February in April but had not charged me for April until May. So I was charged a double payment in May with zero notification that it was happening. After another hour and a half on the phone, I got through to a rather sad manager who apologized profusely, blamed the new government mandated healthcare for volume, and complained about lacking proper staff to fix errors. He could offer nothing except his apology for the error.Desired Settlement: I realize that I owed the money. In the future, you should have to notify the customer before randomly charging their account above and beyond the agreed upon amount.

Regards,

Review: My account was cancelled without notice for "non payment," even though payment was automatically withdrawn every month, including months after my account was supposedly cancelled without being told. I have an invoice from March showing my bill was paid and I was covered for the month of April, even though customer support, which just transferred me numerous [redacted]es to different people giving me different answers, claims it was cancelled in February. The company continued to collect payments until June. Why would you not refund the payments automatically if I no longer had an account, which contradicts the invoice sent, or at least let me know so I could find different coverage through another company? Due to the accounting error I now have to pay my emergency room bill out of pocket, as well as have to file for a refund for all the months payments collected while providing no coverage. Now I owe the hospital $946.00 in bills because I wasn't covered.Desired Settlement: I'd like to not have to pay almost $1000 out of pocket for the company's mistakes and just pay the copay, since payment for coverage has been collected for months after the fact.

Response:

Good morning, This was forwarded to me by Mr. [redacted]. I am the Complaint Manager for the Health Plan. The enrollee policy was to start with an effective date of March 1, 2015. His initial payment to the Health Plan was due by February 28, 2015. The Health Plan sent the enrollee a letter on February 10, 2015 requesting initial payment by February 28, 2015 per the Federally-facilitated Marketplace (FFM) regulations for coverage effective March 1, 2015. The Plan cancelled his membership on March 13, 2015 with a retro date of March 1, 2015 because payment was not received. The payment was received on March 16, 2015, however it was too late . He was already mailed a cancellation letter on March 13, 2015. The enrollee continue to send in payments for April-June 2015 event though he was cancelled. The plan is processing his refund in the amount of $85.28. There was no accounting error, except the we have not refunded his payment yet. The enrollee must go back to the Marketplace if he would like to reapply with a new application for review. If you have any questions, please contact me at ###-###-#### or [redacted]Appeals & Complaint Manager
