Great communication and took care of the problem. Very happy!

Jessica was my initial contact, very helpful and polite. Devin was my tech on site. He was professional from the beginning with a text stating he was on his way. Once he arrived he informed me of what he would do. When he found the issue, he gave me a fair price . Then he proceeded to let me know what he found. He finished, cleaned up and showed me what was done. All of this was done while I was 2 hours away. I will use them again and recommend them to everyone.
Thank you, Option One

Called them from Oregon to help my parents in Sun City. They were cheerful, came within three hours, fixed the problem without trying to upsell the heck out of me, they charged a fair price...I will use them every time we need a job done. Absolutely stellar service. Thank you for taking good care of my parents??

I have been using Option One Plumbing for a couple of years, they always are friendly and do a great job, reasonably priced.

Sammy did a great job on our plugged sewer.
He even changed the cutting tool on the snake to clear our stubborn tree roots.
Great job!

I have used Option One for my drain needs for over 15 years. They were $49.50 any drain. Not any more. But, still excellent communication on arrival times, professional personnel, and problem solved!! Thank you Andrew.

Amazing service. I couldn’t be more pleased with the level of professionalism and courtesy. A great ductwork install with virtually no inconvenience. Highly trustworthy with an incredible work ethic. Installers arrive promptly at 7:30am and did not leave until the work was completed at 9pm. I have never seen such dedication.

Excellent, honest service at a reasonable price!

Had a clogged drain - found a Craigslist post (posted multiple times) for "$49.50 Drain Clearing Special" - called and spoke to booker that there were "no ups and extras" and that "$49.50 is the full, all-in price" - very clear and specific - she said regular price is $83 but they would honor the coupon and that "$49.50 is the full price with no extras" - booker said it was a recorded line so easy to confirm - ALSO, the Option One website includes a "Flat Rate Price" in their policy section, so "you know the price upfront" to "take the uncertainty of cost out of the equation" and "Its peace of mind for you"
When service tech arrived he said it would be $83 - I said the booker confirmed the price of $49.50 - He said he needed to put protective plastic down (or I would have to sign a damage waiver) - I said there were no ups or extras, I was very clear and specific on the phone, it is $49.50 "all-in" - he called his supervisor (Tim) who said it would be $83 even with the coupon - I told the tech to leave the property - About an hour later they sent and email "estimate" of $49.50 to clear the drain + $50 for protective plastic for a total of $99.50 - A classic "bait and switch" ripoff -

We did some special offers years ago for drain cleaning and we have no control to remove it from the internet. We ran some ads online with third party companies and we do not have access to their website to remove it. we have sent request to have them removed with no success. We notify the customer on the phone before booking the call and in this case we honored the discounted price.

Not sure we can do anymore then what we have done. We will refund all her money if that helps.

Customer Response • Mar 11, 2019

This reply is completely nonresponsive and filled with misrepresentations - The claim that they have no control or knowledge over special offers that appear online is beyond belief – what kind of company has no control over their advertising? This is simply ridiculous - The posting was on craigslist with at least 4 postings in a single day - see attachment - postings on craigslist require deliberate, intentional action to post – especially when it involves 4 postings - has nothing to do with a third-party or some other website from years ago - if they actually used a third-party as claimed, please provide the name of the third-party to verify that they made these postings – otherwise this is a deliberate misrepresentation on the part of option one

Further, they did not honor the discount offer in any way - which is the fundamental reason for my initial complaint – it was a bait and switch where they refused to honor the original agreed price and instead jacked it up by over 100% to do the job - the original coupon and their estimate were previously provided to back up this claim of bait and switch -

these people are liars and cheats – this should be pursued by the attorney generals office and the federal trade commission -

We have three locations in three states and over 100 employees so it takes a lot of advertising to run a ship this large and we have several online channels we use. So yes we did offer $49.50 drain cleaning at one point. If you know how tangled the web is when it comes to advertising online you would understand.

It is much easier to refund you your money then try to explain how it all works and thats all we can offer you at this point.

This is a ridiculous response and it still does not address the issues – your position that your business is too complicated to understand what is going on with advertising speaks to what a poorly run operation option one plumbing is – you might not know what is going on, but you are still responsible for the actions of your organization – and will be held to account - you still have not addressed the fundamental issue of agreeing to honor the offer of a $49 drain cleaning, then pulling a blatant, illegal bait and switch when your tech arrived and persisted in even after discussion with a manager Tim – so clearly bait and switch is an approved policy of management in which management participates – you clearly have no idea what is actually going on in the situation since you offered to refund money when in fact no money was exchanged - I rejected your tech’s illegal action and told him to leave the property – no money was exchanged

Further, you did not respond to my request to provide the third-party advertising management company is so I can confirm that they are responsible rather than you – I am looking to find out how many other customers have been injured by your illegal actions in anticipation of filing a class action suit – this is not a joke - By your own statements you are clearly a large enough company, and your consumer fraud actions so blatant and well documented that this would surely be of interest to consumer advocate groups -

On Monday January 7, 2019 I called Option One Plumbing to do a service call at my home, the service call was to unclug a drain. Two service techs from Option One arrived at my at home at approximately 1030a.m.
*** was one tech I did not know the name of the other service tech. They began working on my drain on the outside of my home by placing a drain snake into my kitchen drain clean-out, after about 20mins I heard some *** say the snake is stuck, at this time I asked *** how was he going to get the drain snake out, he said he was going to call his supervisor, after a few minutes *** came back and told he was going to have to cut the snake and leave it in the drain, because he could not pull it out. I told him that was not something I expected from a service call, *** responded he was sorry but the pipe must be broken, he stated he could dig it out and install a new cleanout for $2300. I told him I was prepared to pay $49.00 as advertised by Option One web site, not $2300 because you can't get you equipment out of my drain. So then *** offered $1500 to dig out the pipe and snake. I declined and they left my property, leaving their equipment stuck in my drain for me to deal with and my drain still clogged.
After contacting Option One Supervisor Tim, who told me the same thing is that they could retrieve there equipment by digging out the pipe under my patio, Tim stated he wanted to help me out (this is a person unknown to me but yet he wanted to help me out) he offered to do the work for $1000.00 Let's make a deal, for we left our equipment stuck in your drain and now you want to charge me $1000.00 to take it out. On January 8, 2018 I had another plumber come to see if her could to the work that Option One did not do and the new plumber stated he could not touch the drain clean-out the drain snake being stuck in the drain.

Have had multiple good experiences with Option One Plumbing at our home. I find them to be honest. Gave me options and then their opinion on best way to move forward with our plumbing issues. And they are timely, have always completed job with high standards and are reasonable. Will use them again!

Option One's tech Matt Knowles was very courteous, personable and professional. When he attempted to snake thru our plumbing issue and was not successful, he told us what needed to be done and how much it would cost. Since my boss was on vacation, I was not able to give him the ok immediately. At no time did he pressure me or make any outrageous claims. Once I got the approval and contacted them, Matt came back that day and completed the job.

Have used Option One two times in the recent 2 months (2 different issues). Very good service and will use them again when needed! Samuel has been the technician that has come both times and he has been great!

We have been a customer for several years and are happy with the service we received. Andrew was our Technician, he was very polite and knowledgeable and took care of our situations efficiently. We will use again and we will always ask for Andrew.

Old house, stopped up kitchen sink.........plunger wouldn't do the job. Matt from Option One Plumbing came out and fixed it. He was so pleasant and efficient! Plus, he explained our problem and gave us information on how to avoid problems in the future. Would definitely call him (and Option One) again!

I have been using Option One Plumbing for several years personally and as a real estate agent. They did a full sewer replacement on my personal property as well as numerous miscellaneous plumbing jobs. I have referred Option One to my clients, both buyers and sellers, and received positive feedback from all of them. The two technicians I work with consistently are Andrew and Robert. Andrew is always professional, considerate and listens to your concerns and questions. If he encounters a situation he is not familiar with or wants a confirmation that his approach is correct, he will get on the phone with Robert, his supervisor, or another colleague. This builds confidence in me that the job is being done right the first time. Robert brings a level of knowledge, skill and direction to the jobs. He is great at overcoming challenges and his communication with the client is honest and transparent. In the years I’ve worked with Option One, I have never felt like they dishonestly diagnosed a job for their benefit to make more money. I will continue building and maintaining my relationship with Option One plumbing today and moving forward.

I have been a customer of Option One Plumbing for the past 6 years. I have never had a problem with the staff that has helped me over the phone or with any of the plumbing technicians that have serviced any of my plumbing issues. I do have one plumbing technician - Robert - I try to stick with due to that he is outstanding. He is always honest and extremely informative when he explains the problem and how he can resolve it. The staff are quick to respond and have a technician out as soon as possible. As well as someone from the company will call when the technician is running behind. Hands down the best plumbing company I have ever dealt with.
