I have read Optometric Expressions responce to my complaintThe truth is: I NEVER ordered Progressive Lenses! I ordered "BIFOCALS"They decided to give me the MUCH more, expensive Progressive LensesHad Optometric Expressions, given me my itemized receipt, I would have known this! I have called VPS and they said "They charge the business $for bifocals, (both lenses)Since they DID NOT send me a receipt, and I had to wait weeks for it, I DID NOT KNOW, how much they were charging meI did not know that they had charged me for Progressive Lenses, until I wert in to pick them up

This letter is in response to a consumer complaint submitted on 3/28/17 and assigned an ID of [redacted].The complaint expresses that we may be in error of a transaction with $0.81 of unknown charges. We do not dispute that we may be in error, but let us explain what could have happened. We are a...

taco shop style Mexican food restaurant; you order at the counter, we then provide table service from there. We up charge for extras such as extra cheese, guacamole, sour cream, hot carrots, etc. We do have young staff members as well as employees who have been with us for over 30 years.And sometimes our senior staff members take the liberty to comp such up charges. With some of our staff, which are fairly new, they will charge as directed, as they have no authority to comp any up charges. This may have occurred here, where an item, such as hot carrots, was charged correctly, but in the past may have been comped by senior staff, hence creating a difference in charges visit to visit. We understand that it is probably best policy to follow menu pricing to the "T". But in our 35-year history, we have found success in sometimes awarding loyal customers to a free drink, meal, order of chips, etc. Its kind of our way of saying thanks for patronizing our business, even if it means running the risk of inconsistent transactions depending on shift personnel. We may very well owe this customer $0.81, and we have no reservation in refunding them that amount.Also mentioned in the complaint was the fact they do not receive a register receipt. We do not print every transaction in order to prevent waste, butANY customer can ask for a register receipt while ordering and with the push of a button, it is printed for them.They also complained of a website that has our menu and pricing from the early 90's that do not reflect our current pricing. It is NOT our webpage, and over the course of several years have tried to have that link removed from the website. We have had no luck in tracking the owner of the site. Beyond our control despite several attempts.In closing, we are hopeful the customer will reach out to us in order to resolve their dissatisfaction. Owner
