event, we cleaned up after the event, we cleaned up the caterer's portion as well, the photographer was also having a tremendously difficult time with the pictures because of the weather (sunset photos were part of her theme and the weather was not being friendly for that) and we tried to assist with that by providing different shooting locations (yes, the wall in the bathroom was one of them - we are sorry it rained on a day that she wanted an outside wedding, but it was a beautiful indoor ceremony. We connected her with a wedding coordinator that was not an additional cost and when they asked for a full refund at midnight after using the entire venue all night, we did not comply because we had done all the above mentioned things.  Since we declined to give a refund they have taken upon themselves to do everything to discredit our business.  They have solicited over 100 people to give us a 1 star rating on Facebook, most of whom have never been in the barn or have never met us.  This is going to take years to recover from.  We feel terrible about the experience that she had and really wished we could have made her happy. We have been in the timber frame business for a long time and will be in this new business in Wisconsin Dells, for a long time to come. The Photos on our website are barns that we have built.  We build barns and that means the floors are going to be plywood, the interior is going to be rustic and the setting is going to be a barn – we serve a clientele that wants the “barn” experience.  We have never advertised any hotels and guaranteed shuttle service.  That would be the party booking the hotels responsibility to make arrangements for their transportation.  We have even mentioned or hopes of their return and reevaluation at an upcoming wedding for one of their co-workers.  We hope to provide a great experience for our customers and are working every day to improve.  We would and have provided refunds for any customer requesting such prior to an event, however we do not feel obligated after an event.
