Review: My regular dentist [redacted] referred me to Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates P.C. in [redacted] to have a [redacted] removed inside my [redacted] and they (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates P.C.) failed to inform me that they are not a participating provider in my network for Medical under my [redacted] plan. They only informed me after the procedure was done on 12/**/14 and charged my credit card $490 dollars. They then billed [redacted] (my health insurance) after I was charged and my insurance only paid $75 dollars of the allowed amount. The payment of $75 dollars was sent to Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates P.C. on 1/**/15. Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates P.C. then issued a check of $75 dollars to me. I am disputing the $415 dollars difference that I paid out of pocket. My credit card company cannot do anything about my dispute because they need a copy of the check that was paid to Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates P.C. and they need a letter from [redacted] that I was not supposed to pay for the charges because I have insurance which [redacted] will not provide since it is not their policy to do so.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the $415 dollars difference from the $490 I paid in which I only received $75 dollars payment from my carrier. I was misled by Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates P.C. by their failure to inform me before the procedure that they are not a participating [redacted] member for medical.
