I went to this location on 01/02/2020. The staff at this location are very nice. My consultation went well. I needed to have a tooth removed that had a really deep hole in i,t that my regular dentist basically put a band aid on it to hold me out until I have it removed. I found out that I needed a prior authorization because the procedure would cost over $300 and this is the rule of their practice. However not a requirement from my insurance. I was still ok with that. I was told it would take 2 weeks worse case. Two weeks came I started calling them asking them twice a week if they heard anything back. now I'm in pain, its been 4 weeks at this point. I called the insurance and found out they never got anything from them! WHY? because their billing department put in the wrong SSN number. The billing manager Melissa was to fix that. Another week goes by and I still do not have my Prior Authorization. Melissa Boss is Makayla she was to handle things from there. ANOTHER WEEK GOES BY so I'm 6 weeks out at this point pain level 8!! MAKAYLA never sent in my PA!! all that was sent over was they fax cover from their office. I have never been to a practice that has such idots in the billing department. I told MAKAYLA that I will be contacting my lawyer and she said well you are going to have to go some where else! you can not be seen here. What kind of practice allows the billing supervisors to deny care to their Patients? Especially when they are the ones not doing their job correctly. I left two messages for Doctor B to tell her what was going on with her billing team she still has yet to call me back. I even asked how much it would be to pay out of pocket just so I did not have to deal with MAKAYLA AND HER BAD BILLING DEPARTMENT I never got a call about that. This locations needs some new employees and fast.

To whom it may concern,
The patient was seen on 1/2/2020. The patient’s insurance requires preauthorization for any service over $300.00. The patient was given the option to expedite the process by paying out of pocket and receiving reimbursement later from her insurance. Preauthorization was submitted under the wrong subscriber. As soon as the mistake was recognized, a new preauthorization was sent back by Melissa (billing manager). ***, which is the patient’s insurance, was then processing the claim. Melissa was checking on the status daily. Occasionally, the patient would call to follow up on the status of her claim, which is normal but, the way she spoke to the staff, was unacceptable. The call was forwarded to me, Michaela, the office manager. The patient was not only rude, but she called me an it. I attempted multiple times to tell her that I was on her side and all I want to do was to help her, however, I was unable to do so because she would attack me with offensive words and interrupt me. I gave the patient an option to call me back to speak about her complaints when she felt calm. The patient proceeded to become more belligerent. I told the patient that I do not deserve to be spoken to in such a manor. I then kindly suggested that she may feel more comfortable seeking care with a different oral surgeon. The patient then hung up on me with threats.

Good Day I would like this claim opened back up. I was in surgery on the 24 and out of if for the remainder of the week. I was not offered a solution, not only was I not offered a solution, but the provider never called me back, so that I could let her know what was going on. This can be verified with the front desk staff. I asked the front desk staff if they could get the price from the doctor and I will pay it in full (because that is how much pain I was in) I told them that (MAKAYLA how I spelled her name) Michaela refused to submit the correct paper work and I needed this procedure done now. At this point it was over a month. NO PA takes that long Michaela and her billing department screwed up twice. She got angry when I said I was going to contact my lawyer and let him handle it and she considered that to be threating and I told her that is not a threat that is a promise. Again, how can A billing supervisor deny care to a patient? The front desk staff stated that they would call me to let me know the price from the doctor. I never got that phone call. At this point we were 6 weeks out of me not having my procedure. It takes 2 weeks at most for my insurance to do a PA, I was seen on 01/02/2020. My insurance can verify that twice they did not receive what they should have. Again, Michaela and her billing team did not do they job. I can now also add that as of as of 03/06/2020 the provider did not do their job as well I left so many messages every day for 2 weeks for this doctor to call me back and she has not
