Hired Orange County Fence to install a block wall, vinyl fences, and vinyl gatesThe vinyl gate was supposed to have a double sided builockInstead they installed the vinyl gates with locking devices that require me to purchase a lockI was told that this was $per lock up charge which I agreed uponWhen the gate installers were finishing on 4/11/17, I voiced this concernThey said they had to leave the gate as is for now because of concerns for security and that they would need to come back and reinstall the posts for the gate with the correct holesThe next day I heard nothing and instead got an invoice saying that he job was completeOn 4/13, I was told that I was getting a separate invoice for locksThe contact however is for 10% down and the rest upon completionThere should not be a separate invoiceI explained this and was told the general manager would contact me The final amount of $would have been paid on 4/if completedAfter several attempts, I

Dear [redacted] ID-[redacted]I would like to start this letter by apologizing for this misunderstanding. to discuss the issue. We initially started your project by installing 261f of 6' block wall, after that we were to install two small sections of vinyl and two walk gates, The keyed entry locks for the gates in question are an upgrade accessory that we offer our customers, the upgrade might've been discussed but it was not worded in the contractthat was signed. It is policy that any upgrade must be included in the contract so that there will be no misunderstanding. Our installers were only following their work orders which did not include the keyed locks (again this is policy). When the installers were there you mentioned the keyed locks to them but they directed you to call our office to clarify the issue. They installed the regular gate latches on the gates so they can have some locking mechanism instead of leaving the gates unlockable. I spoke with our salesman and that's when the second invoice for the locks was issued. After being informed ofyour grievance I had our salesman give you a call. You insisted that the keyed locks were supposed to be included. Although our busy schedule did not allow us to return promptly and I apologize for that. I took the following action to bring closure to the issue.• No Charge for the keyed locks• I had them installed• Docked salesman commission for the costThe salesman is an extension of our company, so we take any miscommunications seriously. Our policy here at Orange County Fence is to ensure that every customer is completely satisfied, so we don't expect payment until the customer is happy with their purchase. I thank you for your deposit but we usually don't ask for any. We complete the project first andfix any issues before we expect payment. Again, my apologies for the issue and hope you are happy with your new fence.Should you have any further questions please feel free to call our office.Sincerely[redacted]
