Review: First of all the lie about their contract. They have money back guarantee and it's a lie. When I tried to get my money back they had too many technicalities that they never told me about. When I asked to speak to their manager, [redacted] told me I wasn't aloud to speak to him. This place just seem too suspicious I will not recommend it to anyone. Second of all [redacted] is the most boring instructor. He does the same class over and over and doesn't change anything up. He doesn't work you out well and you don't even sweat. That isn't a good workout, especially for what you are paying for. He is also the person who signed me up for this place and he withheld information and lied about what I signed up for.Desired Settlement: I was promised my money back if I completed my 18 days in two months. I was NOT told I had to complete them on certain days (By [redacted]). I completed my 18 days like agreed but was not able to get my money back. HE withheld information to save his own [redacted].

Every single detail regarding your membership and our policies is on the paperwork you signed and you were also sent home with a copy. I would be happy to send you another copy of your contract if you would like to see proof of the terms. The 60 Day Money Back Guarantee requires you attend your 18 assigned classes to get your money back. In order to keep the integrity of our guarantee we have to be VERY strict on that policy, that is something Steve our general manager would have told you as well. It is [redacted]s job to take care of cancellations and stick to the policies no matter what.

[redacted] teaches about 10 classes a week and he is one of our best and most favored instructors, and this is the first time a member has had a problem with his class. Also, we have about 50 OTHER kickboxing classes on the schedule and you could of chosen to go to a different class and a different instructor or let the front desk know that he wasn't teaching a good class and we would of fixed the problem immediately.

Your account is canceled and you are no longer responsible for the remaining 4 months on your contract and you will receive no further charges. I see that 4/24 was the last day you worked out at the facility so I will issue a refund for your 5/5 payment, for a total of $79.

We apologize for the inconvenience in regards to your membership with us.

Review: On July 9th, I joined OC Kickboxing after a group of my friends had also done so and the rules for the 18 class trial were explained to me. In the sitting, I had asked [redacted], one of the contract signers, whether or not it would be ok to attend different classes due to my school schedule. He replied that that was fine as long as we signed in. After our contract signing and the one-on-one training, I attended the 6:30 class that day. After a few months, I found that I had to drag myself to go and was no longer enjoying the workout. I decided to cancel after attending all 18 sessions and signing in for them. After going down to the office to try to cancel, I was told to email [redacted]. I did so politely asking for the money back guarantee that I was promised on September 12th. On September 14th, [redacted] replied and tried to argue with me that I did not attend the very last day. After countless emails back and forth, he admitted that I did go to all 18 sessions, but tried to frame not giving me my money back on me attending the wrong time, even though it was less than an hour after and I had already discussed this issue with [redacted] and had a verbal agreement. After countless other emails going back and forth with him trying to make me pay whatever way possible, I finally asked him to talk to a supervisor. I waited a week, but, of course with a business as slimy as this one, no one responded. I went down to the Gym and asked one of the ladies if I could talk to whoever was in charge of canceling membership. Without even discussing anything further she replied I thought we made it clear that you will not get your money back. You did not attend the right classes. I had not even told her my name or my situation. She then led me to [redacted], who tried to offer me my last month back, which I had not attended a single day of, and two extra one-on-one sessions. I explained to him that the one-on-one sessions dont benefit me because I did the program to lose weight, and I was gaining, and to enjoy it, which I was not. [redacted] proceeded to say that he knows I think [they] are trying to pull a fast one on me. I think he summed it up perfectly. Three months later I still have not received the last month back like he offered. Either way, I actually attended 19 sessions in my two months, since I attended after the first one-on-one session with [redacted], evident through the signing.Desired Settlement: OC Kickboxing owes me 243$, and an apology for their bad customer service, their lack of response and dishonest employees.
