We received a notice from the City of Huntington Beach that the fence between the properties needed replacement. We contacted the neighboring property owners trying to work with them on the shared cost of the replacement fence. Unfortunately, the property owner’s grandson (not sure how they are...

related) was not cooperating with us at all; they were not willing to pay for any cost of the fence replacement. After numerous attempts trying to negotiate with them, our owner then agreed to pay the full cost of the fence to be in compliance with the City of Huntington Beach.   We then reached out to the neighboring property owner and explained to them that our owner was going to pay for EVERYTHING. Still, the grandson refused to cooperate and rejected the offer. [redacted] went out to the property again in hopes they would agree and get the paper work signed—fortunately, the property owner was present at the time. [redacted] explained to him the process and showed him the paper work for the common property line wall agreement so the work could be completed. The owner agreed to sign and that was it. [redacted] never forced him to sign and we’ve been cooperating with them as much as we can.
