Review: March [redacted]. I bought a pair of running sneakers and ordered a pair of Red Wing Boots from Franks. I had to wait over 3 weeks to get the boots. I had to call several times and kept getting excuses why the boots weren't there. I was told "next week" twice until the boots finally came in. I wore the boots for about 5 days over the course of a 2 week period and found them to be too big. I brought them back on April [redacted]. and was told by the salesman [redacted] that he has spoken to the rep from Red Wing (whom I sent a complaint e-mail to their customer service on April [redacted].)and that the boots would be in within a week because they weren't on back order. I had to wait another 2+ weeks until finally receiving them. I called on April [redacted]. and was told they would be in the following Tuesday. When I spoke to [redacted] on the phone on Thursday, April [redacted]., he lied, telling me the boots were in and they were trying to contact me. I asked him to repeat the phone number they had and it was correct. It is my work cell phone, which I have no problem with. I finally picked them up on Saturday, April **. [redacted] ordered the same exact boots I returned. When I demanded my money back, I was told there wasn't enough money in the store to cover it. Frank offered to reimburse my credit card, but I paid in cash because they said they were having problems with their credit card machine. He also offered to write me a check, but considering the goings on up to this point, I felt it would not be a good idea to do so. I took the boots and am in the process of trying to return them to the Red Wing Shoe Store in Yonkers. I have replied to my original email to the customer service department and am waiting for an answer. I do not want to have any further dealings with Franks Custom Shoes. I have been given the run around for almost 2 months over a pair of boots. The complete lack of customer service is appalling.Desired Settlement: If I cannot return the boots for an acceptable pair at the Red Wing Store in Yonkers, I want my money returned in cash from Frank's. I want the horrible customer service to be on record so others don't suffer the same fate as I did.
