I am rejecting this response because:
We received the blower test results which stated at the bottom that the initial blower test was performed by *** Do they have those results for comparison because I certainly do not.If *** did do a blower test, I did not see the results If they did not, how does Orange Energy know that the changes were effective? Maybe they have the results? It seems to me that if they wanted to ensure positive results, they would have made sure to have a baseline to compare it to and they would have done it themselves to ensure identical test parameters We have been noticing that it has been hotter than it used to be in the top floor of our house since this work was completed We've also noticed that our bathroom fan no longer works as it did before they did their work.Additionally, a box of construction trash was left in our basement for which we had to bring to the township for disposal (at a fee). No final walk through occurred If it had, we would have pointed out a few things (one of the ceiling tiles was not cut correctly and does not sit flat, the banister to the downstairs was reattached and was no longer secure; the outlet installed at the top of the steps wiggles). Item number in the response email indicates that this was a problem with our wiring very well may be true However, we contracted to have the wiring added to the basement and if there was a need for further work to ensure that the entire house continued to have electricity, we should have been notified and given the choice to have it fixed as part of this work To leave it not working was extremely unprofessional We did not ask for them to add wiring to the basement no matter what the impact on the existing wiring They had a responsibility to communicate with us and they did not Finally, the claim that they did not tell us they'd be out on Monday is false I know that this is a he said she said situation that will never be known for sure, but am pointing it out anyhow.At this point I don't want Orange Energy to fix anything as I do not trust the quality of their work and do not believe that they will communicate honestly or fairly We would like to get estimates to repair the aforementioned items and request a partial refund in the amount of the estimates so we can have someone else do the work correctly Regards,

July 12, 2017Dear [redacted]With regard to the complaint, our response is as follows:1. Cashing a customer’s check including a final payment occurs in the ordinary course of business. According to the contract and other documents between the parties, submission of the final payment by the...

customer indicates their satisfaction with the work performed and occurs after the customer has an opportunity to do a “walk through” of the project with a representative of our company. The contract with the customer provides a workmanship warranty under which the customer can have issues addressed that are discovered after completion of work.2. Our company representative did not make the “assurance” stated by the customer that someone would be “out on Monday morning”. In fact, the customer was told that our company would schedule a visit for that week after reviewing scheduling in our office on Monday. Our company representative took the call from the customer on his cell phone on Saturday and did not have access to enough information at that time to make such an assurance.3. A representative of our company went to the customer’s home on June 29th and replaced the circuit however, the homeowner was advised that the cause of the issue with the circuit was related to old wiring in the home which was not part of the scope of work of the contract. This wiring needs to be addressed by the homeowner’s electrician.4. The blower door test was performed on 6/9/17 and the results have been shared with the customer.5. The township has completed its inspection and approved the electric work performed per our contract. We are not aware of any written report that is provided by this township as that is not typical in our experience. The customer can contact their municipality to confirm the inspection and the municipality would likely have a file containing relevant information.At this time, our company believes that it has fully completed its obligations under the contract with the customer as outlined in the scope of work and related change order(s). The workmanship warranty exists for the customer’s benefit relative to the work performed.Sincerely,John K
