Customer came in on 1/20/for a oil change and tire rotationThe vehicle has 40,miles on it and this is the first time that the vehicle was ever in our shop based on the service history in our computer systemA credible Ford senior master technician performed the service to the vehicle
During the service we provide a free multi-point inspection in which we inspect the entire vehicle, the technician performed the service to the vehicle and the multi-point inspectionHe completed his paperwork and parked the vehicle outside without incidentCustomer sent pictures to the dealership the following day claiming we dropped his wheel and then dragged it across the concrete and created the damageThe damage on the wheel in the pictures is clearly from a curb like I explained to Mr*** We had several automotive professionals look at the damage from the pictures and all agreed that this 100% could not have happened in our shopFor that reason Orange Motors will not be participating in any repairs to Mr***'s vehicleThank you

Brief: I'm pleased the way everything worked Though I wish I could have gotten a lower price on the car I bought, more for my trade in, and different tiresI think overall, I got a better than fair dealI would be willing to do business with *** *** or anyone from Orange Motors again I've already recommended them to a few friends and family No real regretsDetails: I'm a very picky person, and was looking almost months for a *** * cylinder to replace my turbo charged *** *** *** (133k miles) *** was just way too small for my new son and wifeI went on ***.com almost every day, sometimes several times a day I searched up to miles from my house in NYC, because I really wanted a good deal on a *** * * *** plus was a good year in terms of reliability from Consumer reports The 2009s had too many miles and had transmission problems had big wheels and lower profile tires that were so noisy and uncomfy I also wanted a sun roof - can't put a price on fresh airI'll also be honest and say that I'm cheap I found Orange motors selling a polished slate *** * * *** plus with less than 15k miles for an awesome price I almost thought it was a typo because it seemed kind of low It was lower than *** book I contacted the Orange Motors, and was eventually connected with *** *** He did say it was low, but said he and the dealership would honor the price wowI immediately looked at the *** Seemed clean, no accidents Honestly, I was suspicious Further, I live in NYC Orange Motors dealership is more than hours away! And, I had a two year old (who hates long trips in his tiny car seat) that I would have to bring with meI also read everything I could possibly find on Orange Motors, and even the salesperson *** *** While not everything was positive, most websites and reviewers on average gave the dealership about out of stars I couldn't find anything negative written about *** *** that was noteworthyI did read some reviews that mentioned that some customers bought cars, had some problems, Orange Motors did step up, and resolved most problems, sometimes at no additional cost While they're not necessarily out of stars, it did seem they're better to much better than averageI emailed and called *** *** no less than 50(!) times trying so hard to get him to lower the selling price, increase my trade in, even giving me better tires Stock tires on the *** * are lousybut that's really a *** thing, nothing I can blame on the dealer*** would not move much on the selling price He did say (correctly) that the price of the car was below what a customer would be paid by a dealership if he tried to sell it to them Meaning, the car was not only below *** book, but also below trade in In other words, the car was already low priced, and they just couldn't go any lowerDespite my best attempts, I couldn't even move him one dollar lower on the selling priceSo, I tried the other end, increasing my trapayment from them He did move a little here While my car was worth 7k dollars (low end) based on *** book value, *** did point out that there were two accidents and panels would have to be replaced I was thinking, how much does it really cost a dealership to replace two panels inhouse? Not like they have to outsource itSo, I got $less on my trade in than I would have wanted Despite my best attempts, I couldn't move him too much on this front eitherThe *** * * *** plus comes with *** *** tires stock These are almost the noisiest, sloppiest, most slippery tires possible But, they're also cheap, which is why *** probably put them on the * I asked *** if he could give me *** *** **s, which are awesome and not terribly more expensiveIn the end, the dealership did an oil change, changed one air filter, rotated the rear tires, and gave me two new front *** *** tires Eh, *** *** is ok If it had to be ***, I wish they gave me the *** ***but, they didn't charge me more money for removing/discarding old tires (with only 15k miles), and giving me two brand new ones I also (to my knowledge) didn't have to pay for the oil change and air filterAfter discussing with family and friends, I decided to take a chance seeing only online pictures and going by conversations and email exchanges I had with the dealership, I decided to put down a $credit card deposit - which they said was refundable, and take a chanceWhile my wife thought I was crazy for driving almost hours for a ***, she grudgingly agreed to the long road tripWhen I finally got there, they had washed the car - which pretty much everyone does All the windows were down and the sunroof was open Later on, I realized they possibly did that to get the smell of cigarette smoke out of the car, which I didn't detect until I drove the car home*** had an important family event to attend to I agreed with him that family is more important than selling a car So we both agreed I would work with one of his colleagues: *** ***Like I typed before, I read everything I could about this dealership before putting down a deposit Many people state the dealership lets you test drive a car without any staff member in the car While this may seem a little unsafe and risky for them, this is what I was offered when I asked for a test drive *** *** just gave me the keys (before I gave them any more money) and recommended a road to test drive on No staff member was with me on my minute plus driveDuring the test drive, I tested the AC wow, was it noisy on level or I asked *** about this He said it was normal, just the fan on higher power Noise still with the car To this day, I'm still suspicious about thisI plan on taking this car to possibly the local *** dealer and evaluating the excessive, seemingly not droning and buzzing from the AC on levels and If it is not covered by warranty, I may or may not bring this up with Orange Motors Unsure at this point of how they would respond Meaning, would they reimburse me for charges to fix AC fan locally Will updateThe only other thing that concerned me was that the blue tooth was locked out by a security code *** and myself couldn't "break the code" to enable blue tooth *** did offer to contact his service people But I said, eh, forget about it I did this because *** was doing me and *** a favor *** was going to do papers, insurance, physical plate transfer for usand he wasn't going to earn one sent for his time or laborI went on *** * forums by myself and found a way to bypass the security codes Literally minutes after I did this, Brian Randio sent me the same security bypassing infoThere were no surprises or last minute fees that came up Everything on paper (and everything spent) was exactly the same as what was discussed before hand additionally, they let me put A LOT on a credit card that made the purchase so much easier to afford also, saved me (and them) the inconvenience of starting an application for financingAgain, I wish so much I could have moved him down on purchase price, up on trade in, and gotten better tiresbut I think this was close to the best deal I could get from almost any dealer within miles of meI spent almost one hour transferring stuff from my *** to the * they were patient with me They even gave my son a little toy (with some advertising) to play with while I transferred so much from my old car to my newer carI've driven the car almost miles in only weeks It was actually kind of fun to drive my new acquisition on a hour trip back home My wife (and even my year old) both seemed to like the space and semi-comfortable (but semi stiff) ride while I liked the driving dynamics of the *many other reviews online say this dealership holds up or is slow with title and/or registration post sale this did concern me, and I brought it up with them several times before and twice after the transaction I'm pleased to report I got the registration and title alreadySummary: I don't think I could have done much better I got a good price on a *** * * *** plus with less than 15k miles Trade in allowance ok two new tires no problems post sale getting registration still wish so much that the ac fan was quieter and that there would be no smoky cigarette smellOverall, I would do it all over again if I had to I have no complaints And, honestly, in a few years, I plan to contact them again when I need to get a second car (this time a *** **) for my wifeThank you

***…….The unit has 112,miles on it We did nothing to cause a mechanical failure within the engineI Have spoke to Ms*** and told her that what happen to her vehicle is a maintence failure that sometimes happens after an engine gets tired from pushing 112,milesI have told her that we do not intend to fix her engine and if she would like to pursue it in a legal manner then she is free to do so………….*** ***

We have responded to the customers complaintOrange Motors will not be repairing this clients wheel as stated in the original responseThe multi-point inspection was completed properly by a factory trained technician, the technician did not note any preexisting damage to the report because there was no damageIf damage had occurred during his service the employees are directed to let management know immediately so we can fix the damageThis damage may have happened after he left our facility either from a curb or a potholeWe again will not be accepting any responsibility for this repair

Mr [redacted] does have an extended warranty on his vehicle. He assumed he had a [redacted] Extended Warranty, he has an [redacted] service contract. I will have our business manager contact customer to correct his concern.............Carl K[redacted]

Michael D[redacted]Shop ForemanOrange Motor Company, Inc.The Revdex.com we have received the complaint regard!ng 2006 [redacted] VIN [redacted] in regards to inoperative reverse lamps.Orange Motor Company performed a complete detailed diagnosis for...

the customer concern. Pinpoint test results verified a failed interior fuse panel. Part availability was definitely an issue with [redacted], part was on a national back orderwith no release date. Orange Motors attempted everything to obtain the part via salvage yards, cross referencing part numbers to ford and escalating the part ordering process with corporate [redacted]. The customer did take a rental which was the customer decision at this point in an attempt to obtain the correct part for repair. Orange Motor Company did communicate the difficulty of part availability to the customer, explained the reverse lamps being inoperative is a safety item. At no point did Orange Motor Company refuse to return the customer vehicle back to the owner. Orange Motors Company simply communicated the importance of correct exterior lamp operation which is a law in the state of New York. Customer stayed in the rental for the duration of diagnosis and attempting to obtain the correct part from multiple resources at the owner's expense. Michael D[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The dealership did not respond to my complaint. They clearly said a multipoint inspection was completed so if it was they should have provided me a copy of that confirming there was preexisting  damage to my wheel. In regards to the wheel damage being curb rash this thought process is incorrect as there is no corresponding damage to the tire itself which would have contacted the curb prior to the wheel as it sticks out farther then the wheel and would have rash or run marks on it and clearly didn't. The amount of miles on my truck bear no relevance to the claim being made, the fact that the dealership confirmed in their response a inspection was done prior to service should solidlfy my case for damages as no damages were noted during inspection and the service work was to include rotating tires.

To whom it may concern,Regarding the case of [redacted] with her 2013 [redacted] rear tire bead torn, four snow tires were purchased and installed 11/15/2013 vehicle current mileage 1642. Snow tires were removed and returned to customer on 4/01/2014 all season...

radials installed vehicle current mileage 4717. Customer requested used snow tires installed 12/09/2014 mileage at the current service visit was 11,878. All season tires were installed 3/27/2015 upon customer request mileage 15,355. The current service visit 11/20/2015 customer request install used snow tires that were originally purchased on 11/15/2013. The owner supplied snow tires Were dismounted and remounted and balanced on three separate occasions totaling a usage of 17,291 miles. The 11/20/2015 service visit which these snow tires were last installed there was no visual defects in any of the four tires, side walls, or beads. The bead of the tire in question was not torn at our facility and if it was the tire would not have held air properly. The bubble in the side wall is a result of a failure in the construction of the tire via impact from outside source or failure with the tire itself. Orange Motor Co. did not dismount this tire and damage the tire as shown in the picture provided. The picture provided only shows a tear in the bead of one tire a different repair facility dismounted. Orange Motor Co. cannot be held liable for workmanship from another repair facility. These findings were communicated with the customer. Customer was out of control at the last service visit, extremely disrespectful to our staff, screaming and swearing with young children present in our service drive. Orange Motor Co. will not participate with this repair, thank you as always.Orange Motors management

We have inspected this car for the fact that the engine light was on. We found and o2 sensor bad and that was all. we have determined that because the unit has 112,000 miles on it something has gone wrong in the engine. We did not work on the engine. What has happened to this engine is because of...

the mileage and and age of the engine and we at Orange Motors are not responsible for the problem Our body shop worked on the rear of this car and that certainly didn't cause the cams  to wear out and that is exactly what has happened. We have no intention of repairing this car without compensation .        [redacted]

Response taken by phone:  We spoke to the customer and mailed him a check.

[redacted] came into our store looking for a specific payment. The only way to give him the payment he wanted was an 84 month loan. He went home with truck and decided the next day he didn't want truck. We took truck back and gave him a complete refund.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I do not agree with this shops response.
The O2 censor that they repaired is in bank 2 of the vehicle which is in the front of the vehicle near the engine. The camshaft that has somehow gone bad suddenly is also in bank 2 of the vehicle near the 02 censor they replaced. I don't understand how I was in an accident on 2/18/15 and drove the car until 2/25/15 when I dropped it off to Orange Motors and they had it until March 19th, that the vehicle is completely undrivable all of a sudden and had to be towed off their lot. I have taken it to several different shops, [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], and a private mechanic who have confirmed that what is going on with my car could not have just occurred from sitting on their lot and are unwilling to fix the vehicle because it is a direct result of Orange Motor's repair. They also confirmed that if the camshafts were bad it would have shown up on the original diagnostic from 2/25/15 where Orange Motors confirmed it was an O2 censor with no other codes in system, which they hand wrote right on the diagnostic paperwork they gave me. This camshaft sensor didn't show up until I returned to the shop on 3/17/15 after just picking it up, and [redacted] reving the truck until the check engine light came back on that this has now become an issued. I have filed a complaint with the [redacted] and also contacted [redacted] themselves who also don't see how my car is completely undrivable at this point with minor repairs needed to it after the accident. I am not accepting this as resolved. Although the vehicle has 112,000 miles, it was regularly serviced for the 2 years I have owned it, which I have all receipts for, and I have had nothing wrong with the vehicle until this point.
