Orangetheory Fitness Brandon Reviews (%countItem)

I've been trying to cancel this service for 3 months. I've filled out paperwork to cancel which they lost and I'm being held liable.
I cancelled my membership on aug 27th by going into a studio only to be told it would take 30 days for the charges to stop. In addition they lost my cancelation paperwork and are still charging me. After speaking with several managers I still haven't recieved a new cancelation form which they promised to email to me or a refund or even acknowledgement that my membership is indeed now cancelled. I fear they will try to rip me off for money soon. Every month they've charged me 160 it's been 3 months since I cancelled do the math and you will see why I'm frustrated. I also have screenshots of when the manager called me day after my cancelation to try to win me back and I also have a voicemail.

Desired Outcome

In seeking refund for monthes charged after cancelation and no further charges to my accounts

Orangetheory Fitness Brandon Response • Nov 27, 2019

The consumer was not only cancelled but she refunded her money and was told her money would be refunded. The consumer would never answer her phone, just send random emails complaining. But *** did receive her money.

The company has been repeatedly dishonest. Particularly an individual named Monica. She will not cancel my account.
I signed up with Monica in March 2019. I was told that there was a 30 day notice to cancel and I could have cancellation papers submitted to me through email since Brandon is no longer my home studio. I asked her to cancel my account in May for June (30 days). She instead requested to place my account on a freeze for two months. I indicated I wanted to cancel my account and not freeze. She said she would have a manager call me back. In the summer months I called to cancel and they said I would need to come in (had not been told this byo ica). They said to send the paperwork online then I would need to speak with a manager. A manager never called me. I am now due for my account to unfreeze and they are telling me I will be charged for another month even though I have been attempting to cancel since May. When I speak to employees or managers at Brandon they are hostile, and unhelpful. This business practice surely did not start with me and I want others to know how they will be treated if they sign up here. I would like this issue to be resolved.

Desired Outcome

All I am seeking, is not to be charged this final month of August as I have been trying to cancel since May. I want my membership cancelled and I would like it to end immediately.

I gave noticed to cancel my membership but the still charge the next month. They will not refund my money.
Orange Theory requires a 30 day notice to cancel a membership. My cycle begins on the 24th of every month. I gave a cancelation notice to an employee at the desk on March 7th. I have a text message to prove it. My last charge should have been on March 24th and my last day of membership on April 23. On April 24th I noticed the charged. I immediately went to the studio that same day, April 24th, to resolve this issue. They are telling me that they can not refund my money because I did not sign paperwork. I am telling them that I was never told to sign paperwork. They are telling me the person that I spoke to is good at her job and that she would never make a mistake or forget to tell me to sign papers. I am telling them, that is exactly what happened. They are siding with their employee and I feel like it's unjust that they would do that to someone. $90 may not be a lot of money to some people but its a lot of money to me. I went the same day I saw the unauthorized charged, I didn't use their services for that pay period so they got $90 and its hard to describe the feeling (not good). They would not give me the benefit of the doubt, even though I have a text message proving I gave my notice. They are just going what their employee, who'd does not want to get in trouble, told them.

Desired Outcome

I want a refund for the last month that they charge me. I did not use their services for that pay period. The last day I used the service was April 14.

I froze my account due to health issues and I was told that I would not be charged for anything for the next 6 weeks. 2 Weeks later they charge $15. I called them and they said they charge $15 if you freeze your account on your billing day. They never said that. Next, I told them to cancel my membership (which will renew on January the 27/19 and today is January 7/19) and they said that I have to pay $149 for one extra month because I have to give 30 days. I told them that I was moving out of town and it was impossible for me and unfair to pay that amount for something that I can't even use. They said it was frustrating but they have to do it. Where is that fair for the consumer? The cancellation policy is unrealistic. If you have a life-changing success they don't care as long as you give them 30 days. Is very unfair and unrealistic. Will someone is able to assist with this matter? I'm sure I'm not the first one having this issue.

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) To not charge for a month I won't use and not charge $15 when you freeze the account, that's a scam. You freeze the account because you can't either use the gym or pay for it and they find a way to charge you.

Hi, I went in to a class at the Brandon, Florida studio and signed up for the unlimited package and also signed the 30 day quit free guarantee. I participated in 12 classes in 27 days and then decided that it was not the right workout fit for me (more interested in heavy weight training). I called the front desk and told them I wanted to cancel my membership and asked if I would receive my money back because of the quit free guarantee. I was told I needed to come back in the office and that I would need to sign the paper work in person. So I obliged and drove to the studio and promptly was told that I had indeed finished my 12 classes and that I would be getting a full refund on the classes but not for the band (which I already knew I would not and that is not an issue for the band). So I signed the paper and was told everything was in order and I should expect my refund in about 7-10 business days.Fast forward three months and I looked at my credit card statement. Not only did I not get my refund I had been charged two more full month membership fees of 159. That brought the total charged to me for my membership to 477. When I called to straighten out the situation I was told that my paper work was lost and that all they could do was refund 159. They then proceeded to tell me that I only did 11 classes because the first one did not count and that I would not be eligible for the 30 day quit free money. First off I did not know that the first class did not count because in my APP it says I have 12 completed classes, and when I went in to sign the cancellation of membership I was told I did the 12 classes and met the requirements. If I had known I needed one more class, I still had 3 days to do one and would have done it obviously, but I was misinformed by the staff. Fast forward many phone conversations later, and now I am at the point where the manager who is new at the location will not credit me back the 159 from the first month because I did not meet the requirements and refuses to give me the contact info to her boss so I can discuss that with him/her. I am disappointed in how this situation has been handled and am looking for a solution to get the 159 back from the 30 day quit free guarantee
Product_Or_Service: Membership to Orangetheory Fitness

Desired Outcome

Refund I would like to get my 159 refund that I deserve because I was falsely led to believe that I had met the requirements of the contract. I believe this is more than fair enough, and am hoping this will be an amicable solution to this issue.
