Tell us why here...Revdex.com of Western Pennsylvania -The issues with *** Sierra FW have been for the most part cosmetic repairs or minor problems. We have made multiple attempts to repair their Sierra Fifth Wheel to the customers satisfaction. We make repairs on campers with the intent of giving good customer service so the customers can enjoy their purchases We are constantly told by this customer that the repairs we do are not done properlyThere are no major issues with the Sierra and none of which would keep the customer from camping. We have been repairing this camper for a year now and the manufacturer’s warranty has expired. We recently took the camper back into our service facility (July/Aug) and did about $of “do over repairs” to make the customer happy only to be told this the repairs were “totally unacceptable” and have our Service Manager subjected to foul language and attorney threats. The customers clearly do not like their camper and told us they wanted us to buy it back so they could walk away from it. We do not buy back campers for any reason as we do not build them. Our obligation to the customer is to facilitate warranty repairs for the manufacturer while under warranty and in most cases get our instructions on proper repair from the manufacturer. We have offered the customer an opportunity to trade out of their camper and purchase another camper at a significantly reduced price which the customer has refused. We will be glad to continue to repair the camper at a discounted labor rate, try to trade them out of it at a significantly discounted price or they can take it to another repair facility. The desired settlement requests from this customer remain excessive. This is the same response we originally emailed to the Attorney General and the Revdex.com has received the same complaint from the customer originally filed with the Attorney General. Thank you

Campers Inn did respond to the Attorney General and also responded to the Revdex.com with the same response. In the meantime, Eddie U*** responded with an offer to "good will" $500 towards repairs they felt they needed completed. Mr U*** also helped the Sales Manager with some aggressive trade figures for the customer in an effort to trade the customer out of the camper which the customer then declined. Customer demands remain excessive and unwarranted as additional repairs were also completed in good faith after the manufacturer warranty expired. The manufacturer also denied our requests to extend the original warranty. After speaking with Eddie U*** again, his offer still stands that we will "good will" $to the customer in an effort to resolve this matter

Good afternoon, This customer purchased from Clem’s RV & Trailer Sales (who is now out of business) on 5/29/Campers Inn RV of Pittsburgh as a goodwill gesture to the customer sent a technician to the customers campground to look at their concerns and get pictures of the
problems so we could seek coverage through a warranty claim to Forest RiverThe company who manufactured the customers unitWe were successful in getting their warranty items approved through Forest River but because of the extent of repairs it is necessary for the customers unit to come to our dealership to have the repairs completedThe customer is not willing to bring their unit in for this serviceThe owner’s manual clearly states that the unit must return to the dealer for repairsBecause of equipment and labor requirements this repair must be done in houseCampers Inn is still more than willing to help the customer get these repairs completed, however the unit must return to the dealership as prescribed by the manufacturer guidelinesAttached is a copy of the Forest River Owner’s Manual showing the guidelinesIf you have any further questions feel free to contact me. Thanks! Vincent G***Service Manager

On March 28th, *** *** purchased a new Prism 2200LE. This unit had never been titled and has full manufacturer’s warranty. It is a new unit. Ms*** decided to buy the motor home, and the staff at Campers Inn RV of Pittsburgh helped her with that purchase.
We did not force her or attempt to defraud her in any way. We were just trying to help her get what she wanted in a motor home. She signed all the paperwork and purchased the motorhome that day. The motorhome was titled for her, funded with *** ** *** ***, her first payment due on April 28th, and we set up delivery for her. *** came to in to pick up the unit and noticed there were some warranty items that needed to be addressed that were not to her satisfaction. By no means were these major issues, including a small amount of rust on the bumper (it was not submerged in water or in a flood as the customer claims), some caulking (weather stripping) that needed touched up, and other minor touch up items. It became clear that Ms*** had some buyer’s remorse and regretted going through with her purchase. It seemed she was attempting to use these small warranty items as a way to backout of a motorhome that she had purchased. The next time she came back to the dealership, she brought her friend, and it was agreed upon that Campers Inn would take her motor home in on consignment and it for her. It was communicated that *** did have buyer’s remorse and didn’t want a motor home at this time. Then a few days later Ms*** seemed to change her mind again and called back our service department requesting more items be done to her motorhome indicating she wanted it again. Now it seems she doesn’t want it again. Our service department is addressing the items Ms*** was concerned with. The facts are: this is a new motorhome that had never been titled and has full warranty, Ms*** wanted to purchase this motorhome and did so on March 28th, under no duress and of sound mind, Ms*** signed a legally binding bank contract and all paperwork to take ownership of the motorhome, and the items of concern are being addressed on the motorhome. We offered to make one of the payments for Ms*** of $to cover the time passed while we are addressing her warranty items of concern. However, Ms*** has declined to pick her motor home. At this time, Campers Inn does not want to consign the motor home for Ms*** as she has been verbally abusive to many of the employees here and made threats to us. At this point, because of our relationship with the Bank that Ms *** is financed through we will reverse the paperwork even though they signed all of their paperwork correctly, we did nothing wrong in the transaction and took constant abuse from her. This decision was made by our Regional Director along with other upper management of Campers Inn. Campers Inn will buy the vehicle back that Ms *** owns from the Bank and her $deposit will not be refunded but will be used to differ the cost of lost sales tax and depreciation of the motor home because it has been titled. Thank you, Pete B***

This gentleman was in around July 30th to pick up his new trailer. While purchasing it he agreed to get a Centerline TS hitch for $635.49 plus tax. Sometime between then and picking his trailer up he contacted his salesman, Wayne S[redacted], and changed over to the Equalizer E2 hitch we offer and it...

wasn’t a big deal because it is the same price, $635.49 plus tax. The customer called in within the past few days stating that he was sold the wrong hitch and his hitch was installed incorrectly. The salesman, Wayne S[redacted], talked to him and reminded him how he wanted the Centerline hitch but then went with the E2 hitch and the other option is the E4 (an upgrade of the E2) but that was $330 more. He said that we did not sell him an Equalizer hitch but the E2 is one. He also stated that we installed his hitch wrong – the brackets being installed too far back and the bolts bent due to that. We sincerely apologized and told him he could swing by at anytime rather than using our schedule which is booked over a month in advance to resolve the problem. He talked to his salesman and said he wanted the Centerline TS hitch and we told him we cant refund him for work we did or a hitch he bought (due to it being used) but we would discount the total from $635.49 to $610.49 plus tax - $25 off. He did not give us an answer and talked to his salesman and then his salesman agreed he wants the Centerline TS so one of our Advisors called him to get a set time of when we would see him but the customer failed to answer or call us back. We still have not got a call back. Thank you for your time and call me if you need anything! Thanks! Vincent G[redacted]Service Advisor

We will not be accepting the $500.00 as was stated in the last response.  The damages that Campers Inn employees did to our camper well exceeds $500.00.  Also the only repair that Campers Inn did to our camper after the warranty expired was the break and inspect the camper since they had it for over 9 months and the inspection was out when we picked it up.  All of the other issues were in warranty as we dropped of the unit off in June and the warranty was out in July.  If they did not fix the warranty issues timely we should not be penalized for that.  Also Campers Inn responded once to the Attorney General.  The Attorney General tried to contact Pete back after there 1st response with no response.  Thank you.

I talked with [redacted] our Service Manager  to obtain documented information regarding this Revdex.com Complaint.  Mr [redacted] sealed his own roof for the leaks he said he was having.  The original leak was never brought to Campers Inn because it was prior to our ownership.  He...

brought his camper to Campers Inn for his annual inspection for his Warranty Forever which he purchased from Clems and to get his Pennsylvania State Inspection.  The annual maintenance and Pa State Inspection were completed and passed all requirements. We are an authorized Pa State Inspection Station and provided hundreds of inspections per Pa state requirement yearly.  The cost of the Forever Warranty inspection is $299.00 plus tax and the Pa inspection was $40.95 plus tax. These inspections were done on 1 March 2016 and Mr [redacted] picked up his camper shortly thereafter.   Mr [redacted] then calls in on or about 9 May 2016 stating the problem with his wheel and tire.  His manufacturer’s warranty expired on 28 Mar 2016 and we still submitted a warranty claim to [redacted] which was denied.  His extended service contract covers only against mechanical breakdown but we submitted it to the warranty company anyway to which it was promptly denied.  We called Mr [redacted] on 8 June 2016 to let them know it was denied and we gave them the cost  to replace the tire.  Mr [redacted] said he would get back with us and they also were  to provide us pictures for [redacted] so they could order the correct rim.  The customer never provided the pictures and on 14 July 2016 [redacted] cancelled the order.   We are in no way negligent  with Mr [redacted] in dealing with the roof leak issue and the tire/rim mishap. We do everything we can here at Campers Inn RV of Pittsburgh to provide the best service possible.  If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me or [redacted].
