Oreck Vacuums

Review: I purchased a vacuum on 08/12/2013, for a 10 business day trial period to determine if the vacuum would suit my situation, at

When I returned on 8-26-2013, the manager ([redacted]) said not only would he Not honor the 10 business day trial period, that I wouldn't be allowed to return the vacuum for credit. I reminded **. [redacted], that I was only testing the vacuum out, and originally asked for a reasonable amount of time to perform that function.

After some unprofessional and inaccurate dialogue from Sharif, he then informed me that I couldn't return the vacuum, he wasn't given me credit, no returns were allowed, and I was astonished to see him pick-up the vacuum and walk it outside of the store. I walked to the front of store, picked up the vacuum, took pictures of the vacuum being return in original condition, and ask him where the store policy on vacuum returns.

I explained to **. [redacted], that the store Must clearly communicate to customers their return policy. The Oreck store in [redacted], Maryland has No Signs informing customers of No Return Policy, No information stated on the receipt No Returns of vacuums, and No advance notice anywhere that returns are Not acceptable. In fact, the store receipt (see attached) indicates I asked for a 10 business day trial, and the only Bags, Belts, Parts, Cleaning products, and Commercial equipment items are Not Returnable... No mention on the receipt about Not Return vacuums!!

I even tried to inform **. [redacted], as a consumer... I am entitled to return product, within a reasonable amount of time, in it's original condition. I also called the owner, [redacted] (on his mobile number ###-###-####), several times to try and amicably resolve this miscommunication issue and he never called me back.

I am therefore, left with no other option but to escalate this Return issue, file a complaint and/or dispute with the proper authorizes to help me resolve this matter and hopefully help inform the store owner and manager about our consumer rights. I am filing a complaint with (FTC) Bureau of Consumer Protection Division, Oreck Corporation, [redacted], and Revdex.com.
