Oregon Auto Finance Reviews (2)

Mr *** defaulted on the auto contract he signed. He had stated on occasions from the loan open date in January to December that he would make payments and did not keep his promise to make those payments. In December Oregon Auto Finance agreed to do a partial
payment on his loan that was not required by the contract he signed and put the remainder of his December payment to the end of his loan in an effort to help him finally get caught up and make future payments on time. In January 2016, he defaulted on his auto contract and Oregon Auto Finance still agreed to give him additional time to make his payment. He made promises to make payment in January and did not pay on any of those days and did not call Oregon Auto Finance on any of the days that he was set to pay per his promise to do so
Mr*** stated that he did not receive any billing information. We do send monthly statements to all of our customers. We did receive returned mail in Sept at the address that Mr*** had provided to us. The auto contract he did sign states that he agreed by signing the contract to notifying Oregon Auto Finance if he moves to a new address. He failed to do so and the auto was not repossessed in the Vancouver, WA area he listed his address was inIt was repossessed in the Seattle, WA area. That may be the reason no billing information was received if Mr*** had moved to the Seattle, WA area
Mr*** stated that we only accept payments via cash. We do accept checks and money orders through the mail. In fact, the billing statements we send each month include an envelope with them to use to mail a payment back in. We can also accept payments via Pay near Me, Moneygram and Western Union
The repossession company that was used to pick this unit up in the Seattle, WA area has repossessed total autos(including Mr***'s) in the last years for Oregon Auto Finance. I am not sure what information the repossession agent gave him about Oregon Auto Finance but we have only had contact with the Seattle area agent times in the last years
We feel like we gave Mr*** many chances to make payments on time and agreed to make additional arrangements not required by the contract he signed to try to help him get current and pay on time. We want all of our customers to make the payments on the loans we make and try to operate in good faith and give our customers as many chances as we can to help them be successful.
