Foreman Jeremy. Jeremy was trying to find out the details of Ms. [redacted]'s frustration because she kept repeating that we "sent her a broken pump and she returned the core." Once Jeremy realized that she was not going to explain what she was talking about, he brought the phone call to our owners attention, prior to our owner Sue being able to pick up the line, Ms. [redacted] had hung up. Sue attempted to call Ms. [redacted] twice at the number we have for her immediately following the situation. Both times that Sue called Ms. [redacted], there were multiple rings, then the voicemail came on stating that the mailbox was full.
I have included (2) pictures that we have taken of the inside of the fuel injection pump to show the damage that was found. The first picture shows an area that is circled in red and as can be seen, there is a hole where you can see dis-colored gray areas and then a dark spot in the center. The second picture is of the o-ring which is the dark spot that you see in the first picture. This "hole" is now causing that area to not seal where the o-ring would normally meet solid metal thus making the core no longer worth its full value. We are not accusing Ms. [redacted], whether a "housewife with two small children," or an experienced technician of damaging this pump core. What we are explaining to her that the pump core has been damaged internally and this often times happens when someone removes the pump incorrectly or tries to disassemble the pump to see what is wrong. Ms. [redacted] mentioned that she had a mechanic do the work, so she may want to pose this question to that person. I have attached a re-print of the original invoice as well as the "core check off list" that is sent out with each pump sold that states the items that can make the core worth partial value.
We have been in business for over 42 years, and as you can see by our history with the Revdex.com, we are a reputable company that stands behind our product. If this was not the case, we would not be in business, and Ms. [redacted] would certainly found red flags on the internet that would have discouraged her from purchasing this item from us.
We are willing to give Ms. [redacted] the amount that was presented to her which is $155.00 out of the original $300.00 value of the core once this matter is resolved.
Again, this is not a situation that is enviable for either party, and it is one that is out of our control due to the internal damage of the fuel injection pump core.
