We apologize for the confusionOur contract was with the homeowner which we proposed and was accepted installing a Trane 95% gas furnace that had been upgraded from the original proposal for an 80% gas furnaceWe installed exactly what we had proposed according to the
accepted contract by the homeownerThe salesperson was Justin who was never contacted by the buyer for clarification or to resubmit a new proposalThe office administrator who was contacted by the buyer was recently hired and knew nothing about our industry or the hundreds of model numbers pertaining to equipment, so if she allegedly miss spoke we again apologize but we permitted, installed with an approved inspection exactly what was on the contract.Simply put, we installed what the homeowner requested and what was on the contract.See attached proposal and paid invoice along with the response to this person from the President of the company. From: *** *** Sent: Friday, November 3, 10:AM To: *** *** ***> Subject: RE: 1*** ** *** installation discrepancy Hello ***,I am very sorry that you had such a confusing and frustrating experience with our company. In reading the email chain below, I too, am very frustrated at this whole situation. We always strive to give our customers a great experience and that clearly did not happen in this caseI don’t have an appropriate response at this point since I am just learning of this. However, I will be meeting with my team members involved and reviewing this from top to bottom Thank you for bringing it to my attention. Thank you, Casey From: *** *** ***] Sent: Friday, November 3, 8:AM To: Casey K*** *** Subject: Fwd: *** ** *** installation discrepancy Casey,I don't expect anything from this email but I simply wanted to share my recent experience with Oregon Heating. The short version is below, full history in attached emailsI purchased a house, one of the conditions of sale was the replacement of the existing furnace with an equivalent unit (80% efficient) or the option for me to pay the difference of an upgrade to a 95% efficient oneThe proposal which was provided to the sellers and then provided to me did not list a model number for the 95% efficient furnaceI called Oregon Heating to get the model number and was told one thing (S9V2). Based on that information, I instructed the sellers to upgrade to a 95% furnace and I would pay the difference ($1525)Something different than what I was told was installed (XR95)In following up with the service manager he admitted I was told the wrong model over the phone but could replace the furnace for the price difference between the two units (an additional $1500)The below email led to a phone call with Brad where he told me there's no way he can replace the furnace for the $I was originally told and provided the below pricePlease put yourself in my shoes. Based on the information I was provided by Oregon Heating I chose to spend $to purchase an S9Vfurnace. Two weeks later it's now going to cost me a total of $to obtain the exact same thing. That's over three and a half times the initial quote. I fully acknowledge this is messy, especially because the contract is with the sellers instead of me and I took your employees at their word rather than demanding something in writing. That's on me. That said, in trying to reach some resolution on the issue it's frustrating that I am constantly provided different numbers for the same unit I was initially told I would receive. I understand a mistake was made by a new employee and was seriously considering Clint's proposal but after my conversation with Brad yesterday there's no way I can consider this as an option and have to seriously question anything not explicitly written down (as I should have done in the first place). As a side note, your office staff are awesome. While Clint and I disagreed, both he and Justin acknowledged my frustration with the issue, admitted a mistake was made and did everything in their power to make it right. I have absolutely no interest or desire to take any further action on this matter, I simply wanted to share my experience as what can hopefully be a learning experience for both parties involved. Thanks for your time, have a great Friday and weekend.*** ***
