organic dry cleaners Reviews (2)

Review: We took our clothes for dry cleaning on May 31, 2014. We paid a total of $71.68 for the service. When we went to pick up the clothes we were told that 2 pants were not ready. This occurred on June 4th. The cleaners told us that the pants would be ready the next day. We kept checking for the next few days and a different excuse was offered each time. They also called to say they had found our pants but when we got to the shop they did not belong to us. The cleaners then had me fill out a form for lost items a week or two ago but now I am told that there is no guarantee that the insurance will pay for it. Was also given an excuse that the insurance was for a different business. I was again told that they have found our pants but they are not our pants. The pants are obviously lost. I even asked them if they could have made a mistake in entering the number of pants to be dry cleaned. They immediately took that and said they are sure it was a mistake. I need to recover the cost of both the pants.Desired Settlement: Reimbursement for the 2 lost pants in the amount of $100

Statement for [redacted] Police

Re: Dry Cleaners at [redacted] VA

On about April 18, 2014 we took in several items for dry cleaning and one pair of ladies pants to have a hem repaired on one of the legs. When we dropped off the items we paid in cash as requested and posted in the store.

About a week later we went back and picked up all of the items except the pants, they were not with the order. We were told they had been sent out for the hem and would be back in a few days. We went back several times in the next couple of weeks but no pants.

Some time after that we stopped to check on the pants. They lady at the shop, the only one we have worked with, said the pants were lost and we should fill out an insurance claim form. We did and she said they would call us when they got the insurance payment.

We stopped last Saturday August 23, 2014 about 1100am to check on the insurance. She said that was two owners ago and they would not pay. Then she asked me to come back and look through the racks to see if I could find the pants. On the third rack we searched, I located the pants. My wife identified the pants and we said we would just take them as is. The lady said she would send them out and get the hem but we said that was not necessary we'd just take them. She then said she would do them in the store and have them that afternoon. A couple hours later she called our house and said the pants were ready and it would be $36.00. Since we had already paid for them and she had lost them for nearly four months we said we were not going to pay her any additional money. She said the owner/manager told her he could not let them go without payment. I asked to talk to him and she gave me a number for a Mr. M[redacted] at ([redacted])XXX-XXXX. I called him and explained the complications and he said he would tell her to give me the pants. I went back to the store and called him on my phone so she could talk to him. They spoke in another language for a few minutes and she told me she would let me have the pants for $13.49. I explained it was unacceptable and we wanted the pants. Mr. M[redacted] told me on the phone that he is not associated with the store, he just tries to help her from time to time.

He advised me to go back to the store and he would talk to her again. I did and got nowhere. I asked for her name so I could contact my attorney. She would not give it to me. Mr. M[redacted] told me to make a picture of her license on the wall with her name. I told her I wanted to make an image of the license and she would not allow me to step behind the counter to make the image.

My wife stopped in the store this afternoon about 600pm to ask her for the pants one more time. She again refused at which point I contacted my attorney. She advised me to contact the [redacted] police for help in getting the name and license information for the store.Desired Settlement: We would just like our pants returned and do not want to pay for them again after waiting for them for four months.

Dear [redacted],

I received your letter along with the storey of ** and [redacted].

This store was leased to Mr and Mrs K** prior to my coming. The former lessor did not pay wages to their employees and employees took customers clothing. Number of items were found missing when I took over the lease sometimes in May. Customers were upset for not finding their clothing. [redacted] came to my store one time to collect their clothes. All items were delivered to them accept this pant. I tried my very best to find the pants and also tried to collect the loss from previous lessor and or insurance company. Previous lessor did not have insurance coverage and did not cover and any of items lost or stolen by them. I checked with my lawyer and he said you can help the customers but you do not have the responsibility to reimburse

them and you give them information of previous lessors. Items given to Q. Cleaners and they are responsible for this loss and not me.

**. and [redacted] came to my store and asked me to find the pants which was only given for dry cleaning. Their was no ticket in her entire record showing any pants were ever given for hemming.

Pants were only given for dry cleaning and they paid before $2.59 only. They never paid for hemming job and told me that they will call police and later told thier attorney will contact me. She also told me that she will sit out side my store and tell my customers not to use my shop. I told her I will sew her if she does so.

When I was handing over the pant to her she said these pants are not hemmed. I told her that it takes few days to send the pants out for hemming. She said why you have the machine here why dono’t you do it here. I agreed to do and I finished hemming her pants the same day and called them to pick up the pants. After completing hemming job I called her home to let her know her pants are ready. She came to collect the pants and refused to pay for hemming job a small amount $12.50. I requested her to pay the amount and collect your pants. I see no fault of mine and it is not fair to me to get payment for the job done efficiently. If they can afford to hire and pay an attorney $200.00 an hour. It is rediculous to collect their pants without paying me. [redacted] also told me that he paid by credit card and will show me the receid. I told him we donot take credit card. Then he changed his story. If he shows me the receid showing payment for hemming I will give them pants back with no charge.

WITH BEST REGARDS!
