though an agreement had been reached and the next day wewere on the receiving end of yet another tirade [redacted] was usually not home so itwas difficult to communicate with him Rick, Kathy & Jeff met with the [redacted] 's one evening and went through the home to identify all their concernsand address each onePrior to leaving all areas to be addressed were agreedupon, and it was indicated that the [redacted] kitchen project, with the exception of a punch out list, inJanuaryAttempts were made to go back to the home in December to finish up work thatneeded to be done but our Lead Carpenter was not allowed in because [redacted] wasChristmas shopping and did not want to be bothered.Jeff personally did a walk through with the [redacted] 's sometime the week of January 5.They agreed upon a punch out list during that visit and Jeff told them Rick [redacted] (ourLead Carpenter who completed the kitchen) would contact [redacted] and make arrangementsto come in to complete the listOn January Jeff received an email from the [redacted] 'sthat had items on the list which was double the number of items they had reviewed, and Jeff agreed to, during the in-home visitAt the end of the list they sent [redacted] put anote on her email stating "Rick and I are playing phone tagUnfortunatety we are bothbusyWe would like to get work started soon." Even though the list was significantlymore extensive than what Jeff agreed to when visiting their home, he reviewed the listwith Rick and they developed a game plan for completion of the itemsRick attemptedseveral times to contact [redacted] to schedule coming in to complete the list and did not get aresponse to either voice mail or textsFinally, [redacted] called him back and basically toldhim to [redacted] off and she did not want him or anyone from OHR in her home anymoreShetold him [redacted] OHR and anyone associated with them.On January Jeff received an ernail from the [redacted] 's indicating they did not wantRick to redo their tile back splashOn January Jeff received an email from ***asking if Rick could be there on the 21st to continue with the punch list We respondedthat Rick would be there on the 21st and also indicated we had another tile installer tocome in to redo the tile work they were not happy withRick offered to cover theexpense of the additional tile work out of his own pocket since they were not happy withhis work. Our electrician was met with the same response when he attempted to call and scheduleto come back and do the final electrical inspection so he could close out his electricalpermit [redacted] 's also hired our electrician to do additional work on the side that is aclear violation of the terms of our contract and still has not paid him for the additionalwork that he did for themHe has made numerous calls to [redacted] not only to try andcollect the money she owes him but also, to get the electrical items fixed that were on thepunch list so he can get the final electrical inspection. The two main issues that [redacted] 's are wanting fixed are the new hardwood flooring inthe kitchen which does not match the forty year old flooring in the dining roomWe haveoffered to sand it down and stain it to get it to a closer match and even offered to sand thedining room and kitchen and stain both of them at our cost but they said they wantedsomeone else to do itAlso, due to the old plaster walls being uneven, the tilebacksplash is uneven in some areas and we offered to replace it and they again said thatthey wanted to have someone else do itThey got a quote from someone else to do theflooring and tile work and it was times what we would charge to do the same work so,we do not feel that was appropriate. On Feb2, I sent an email to [redacted] stating that due to the verbally abusiveconversation and the way [redacted] treated my carpenter and subcontractors, that we wouldno longer deal with [redacted] and that we would waive their final payment in order to givethem the money to have the flooring refinished and the tile backsplash redoneThis was$according to our records but, when we made the offer, [redacted] emailed sayingthat they still owed $We told them that whatever they felt it was, we would waivethe final invoice and give them a paid in full receiptHowever, tbey needed to allow usto come in and finish the electric and get the electrical final and the final occupancy inspectionsWe contacted the Upper Arlington Building Department to see what ouroptions were if the homeowner would not let us in the home to do final inspectionsTheyadvised us to go ahead and schedule the inspections and if the homeowner did not allowthe inspector in the home, then it would be on record that we tried to get the finalinspections done. After sending the email to [redacted] stating that we will no longer deal with ***, he sentback an email back stating that [redacted] has been handling this and to please correspondwith herHe ignored our concerns, comments, and her behavior. An inspection of the front door paint it is obvious the scatches in the paint were made bya key or some device which must have been being held in someone's hand while trying tounlock the doorThe door was not scratched during installation. On the advice of our attorney, we stopped correspondence with them He told usbefore acting on any final resolution, we need to get a mutual release of all claims. We are willing to make one final attempt to resolve this via a certified letter to the [redacted] 's stating thatThey will allow our electrician to complete the electrical punch list, get his finalinspectionWe are able to complete the final occupancy inspection [redacted] is home when we return to do the work or [redacted] is home with a third partyhome during the time our workers are in the homeWe are not aware of any trim that needs to be put around the custom cabinets. There was a piece of shoe molding that needs replaced and this is minorThere isnothing on the punch list they sent about trim needing to be completed except thisitemThis can be easily taken care ofWe are still willing to close out the job with a paid in full invoice allowing them$in a refunded amount from their contract priceWe will consider theproject closed and give them a release from any further payment to us providingwe receive a The business’ efforts to correct the situation have been acknowledged but their attempts have been unsuccessful with the end result being delivered products that are not usable and as such do not satisfy the purchase agreementIf the business is confident that the stain provided to them in accordance with their agreed upon purchase contract is the cause of the defective doors than why continue to use the stain in subsequent actions to correct the situation?
The proposed resolution initially offered allowed the business to partially fulfill the terms of the purchase agreement without requesting any refund since the doors delivered under this proposal would not be stained and finished as called out for in the purchase agreementThe proposal only asks the business to supply doors that fit the openings in an identical manner as the defective doors leaving the cost of materials and labor to stain and finish the doors to the customerSince the customer would be receiving less than the total benefit called out for by the purchase agreement the business is permitted to close this issue without completely fulfilling its obligations as detailed in the purchase agreement without experiencing the loss of revenue already received
A review of the email communications previously forwarded to the Revdex.com does indicate that the business acknowledged the odor issue in contradiction to its claim in its response that this was only noticed by the customer
Because of these issues the customer rejects the business' response since the business has yet to fulfill its obligations under the purchase agreement or under the proposed settlementThe customer proposed settlement is still available to the business in order to resolve this issue

In response to this customer's complaint:This customer came to us in late and asked that we custom fit some doors into his home The opening sizes where he wanted to install the doors required that we dry fit them so they would be cut to the correct size, mortise for the hinges, and cut
for the hardware This was completed in November Several months went by and then we got a call from Mr*** that he was noticing a smell with his doors and asked us if we would look into it We agreed Since that time we have repeatedly, at our own cost, attempted to deliver these doors without the odor the customer indicates only he can smell We are a custom fabrication shop who weekly provides finished doors, trim ,etcto customers all over Central OH Normally we are purchasing the raw doors and supplying the stain and finish top coat In this case the customer asked to provide his own stain We agreed to this as he indicated it would match his existing trim Even though we have twice sanded down these doors and repeated the top coat finish process, he claims there is still an odor The only piece of material consistent within the three times these doors have been finished is the stain provided by the customer We even brought in our sales representative from *** *** to review the situation He suggested we use a special sealer clear coat We used this product the last time the doors were in our shop We detected no smell at all before the doors left our shop We incurred the cost of all the additional work without passing along any of the additional cost of product or time to Mr*** We have gone way out of pocket to attempt to satisfy Mr*** and we are not inclined to spend any additional time or money on this project

summarizingthe issues we have experienced with these folks along with answering their complaint:SUMMARY OF OUR ISSUES:1. She was upset and would not let themcome back until 10am when she "normally got up" and made the company takeaway the dumpster. We received a call from the dumpster company advising usof the situation.2. [redacted] repeatedly would complain to everyone that she didn't get up before 10 andexpected construction to work around her sleep schedule. Every attempt wasmade to give special accommodation to her "special needs" by our employees, subcontractors, etc. which made scheduling on this project a nightmare. She wasconstantly yelling at everyone and disrupting the work flow. It got to whereeveryone went on about their business and ignored her rants just in order to getthe work completed.3. Every subcontractor (ie, plumber, electrician, HVAC Company, etc.) wereinterrogated. [redacted] was very upset with the way our HVAC contractor "looked"when he entered her home and alleged that he left dirty footprints on her stairswhen he went to find the attic access. The contractor told me after the fact that hehas just come h m another job in an area in excess of 100 degrees and yes, herealized he realized he had left dirt on the hardwood stairs so he cleanedeverything before he left.4. Kathy visited the home early in the project because [redacted] had shown up at theoffice complaining about how the HVAC contractor had behaved in her home. She claimed he soiled all her clothes when he went into the attic access and shehad to "wash everything in the closet". Kathy went upstairs into the bedroom tosee the area where the contractor had been and it was vexy small and tight. Therewas no way be could have gotten into the attic without brushing the clothes butquestioned why [redacted] had to wash them all. [redacted] responded that she was a"germaphobe" and had to be sure everything was clean. She then showed Kathyaround her bedroom and pointed out that her husband kept his clothes in basketson the floor. Kathy interpreted this to mean they had been inconveniencedbecause of the construction (even though it didn't make sense since we weredoing a kitchen) and offered [redacted] the use of rolling clothes racks if that would be easier for them. [redacted] declined and then later told our designer, [redacted], that Iwas rudely sticking my nose into their business of how they chose to keep theirclothing. She felt I was being rude in questioning how she kept her husband'sclothes.5. I am responding to OHR recent response. Kathy M[redacted] was not present when my house was being remodeled. I am surprised by her opinion of what happened. I left my side door unlocked every day at 8:30am when someone was to work at my house. Yes I did talk about being tired. Rick also talked to me about his jail time. Taunting the man to throw the first punch. [redacted] talked to me about the money issues with OHR. [redacted] didn't think OHR ordered my cabinets when I paid them due to money issues. Mike the carpenter talked to me about this job taking too long. The electrician talking to me about how long my project was taking. [redacted] talking to me about taking pictures of everything since he worked with Kathy and said not to trust her. I think at this point we can agree Kathy and I do not see eye-to-eye. Jeff came to my house on a couple of different occasions. He said he would try and get someone else to correct the issues with my house. He would then change his mind and say "we paid Rick so Rick has to complete the repairs." OHR can not decide if Rick is a subcontractor or employee. I have emails, texts, and saved phone messages. It seems OHR changes their mind when it best suits them. Rick said OHR wanted them to run the project. He said he did not want the responsibility for what he was being paid. [redacted] knew of my health issues. I explained to her I would do whatever needed to get this project completed quickly. She said she understood that I did not have a kitchen while living here. She apologized by text that she did not tell me to move the car into the street. She took responsibility for that.I did talk to every contractor. This was MY house. I had a right to know what level of experience people had working on my house. I found out 2 of the workers had worked for OHR for approximately 3-5 weeks. The workers were left in my house without any supervision from OHR.  The first time Jeff or Kathy came to my house to look at the progress was after I complained. [redacted] quit working at OHR October 27th. Rick was on his own to work. Most days he worked 2-3 hours and would leave. He would work all night at the [redacted] go home shower then come to my house around 9am-10am. Numerous days he would text me he was sick. Or he had to shovel snow. Kathy showed up at my house and mentioned it smelled clean. Yes I was offended. [redacted] said Kathy did not have any manners. That was how she was raised. I told Kathy we had ordered a custom dresser for my husbands sweaters so we did not need to use her racks. I explained if the subcontractors would tell me ahead of time. I could move my clothes in the closet so they won't have to be rewashed. I do have a picture of the dirt he left on my sweaters. I had to rewash 2 loads of laundry.I am surprised by Kathy providing the dates in January that she and Jeff met with us. This project started in September. It should have been completed by the end of November. Where were Kathy and Jeff in November and December? My punchout list has still not been completed. Rick is not qualified to complete this list. We have told Jeff numerous times that Rick is shade blind. He can't tell if something has been painted or not. Here is what needs completed:1. Front door still sticks. Door is not level. Handle plate is not level. Door was not caulked when it was installed. The handle plate is crooked. The paint chips are there due to the wrong handled being installed. I asked Jeff for 3 weeks to fix it. He said he was unable. Rick can't seem to get it level. He has tried twice.2. Bathroom still needs painted. Jeff took a piece of the paint to match. Rick never touched it up.3. Side door is sticking so bad it has to be slammed to shut. It was never caulked.4. The floor in the kitchen is red oak. The rest of the house is white oak. It does not match. The subway tile is lumpy and uneven. It hasn't been fully caulked. The trim needs the correct color of filler. The cabinet door does not shut properly.[redacted] is willing to take vacation time to supervise the completion of the punch out list. We want someone other than Rick since he has been out numerous times.
