I paid $90 for a piercing on each ear and I got an infection because the earrings were not surgical steel which is against practice.

I walked in to the tattoo shop looking to get a piercing on each ear. I told the owner that I was afraid to get an infection and he told me I had nothing to worry about. I set an appointment and came back at the time of my appointment 4pm. I got both ears pierced and I was charged $90 dollars, I paid in CASH. The earrings that I was given, I wasn't even offered the choice of choosing my earrings, were NOT surgical steel. The earring back on my left ear was BLACK when I went to remove my earrings because I couldn't take the pain and oozing of the infection anymore. I called the shop looking for the owner. After I got in contact with the owner he told me to meet him at the shop in 20 minutes. He showed up 30 minutes after he told me to be there. I showed the earring back to the owner and he actually kept the earring back. I have pictures. They were nickel and he put them in my open flesh wounds. I got an infection because of it. I must also add that the way he advised me to take care of my brand new piercings are actually against practice as he told me to use bactine and bactine makes the wounds take longer to heal so it is not an advisable solution for cleaning. You can find that information on www.safepiercing.org.
My ears still haven't healed 100% and I pierced them back on July 27th 2018. The owner got angry when I told him I had an infection and started saying something about me thinking he was scamming me. Guilty conscience. He cleaned my ears and had the plan of re piercing my ears after letting them close in a few weeks. I told him I was not going to re pierce and chose against that plan. He was supposed to speak to his earring "supplier" and get back to me but never did. In fact after I wrote a review on Yelp he claimed he spoke to his supplier and his supplier laughed. Well, they were both probably laughing because who knows how long they have been scamming people.I got my ears pierced in July and suffered for over a month because of his negligent ways. I couldn't even sleep right because the infection was so bad it kept me up at night and my ears are attached to my head and I sleep with a pillow under my head like most people.

Desired Outcome

I want a 100% refund for negligence and for all the time I spent suffering and all the time he spent harassing me on Yelp.

We are using only surgical steel earrings.
When we contacted our supplier, he approved it was 100% surgical steel.
After the customer called and mentioned her concern, she came to the studio without an appointment. The manager arrived from his dentist appointment specially to see her and took a very good care of her.
She had to wait few minutes because she did not have an appointment that day. The cleaning of the area is the customer's responsibility. But at the same time, we value our customers and it is important for us to satisfy them. The studio management agrees to issue 100% refund of the $90 out of courtesy.

I received the response from the owner of the business but I do not agree with what he said. The only thing I agree with is that he agreed to give me my money back. I took excellent care of my ears as they were trying to heal but the earrings caused an infection because they are indeed NOT surgical steel. I could have these earrings tested and I guarantee you they will show up with lead.
I just need to know what action to take if I do not agree with what he is saying and if I should select that I am satisfied with the response or if I need to select that I am unsatisfied with his response. I also wanted to know what I'm supposed to do to get my refund from the owner that he is claiming he is going to give me. Do I get it through Revdex.com or do I need to show up to his establishment and get my money in person? What if he says he's going to give me a refund and when I get there decides not to? Please let me know what action to take and help me further understand this process. Thank you for your time!

I put a large deposit on a tattoo. After a few hours, I decided not to go forward with the tattoo and contacted the merchant for a refund. The merchant agreed to a refund verbally. I submitted an email confirming the refund and the merchant will not reply to any forms of communication. I did not sign any documents stating deposit was non refundable, and no services were rendered I DID NOT GET OR HAVE ANY Tattoos. Email chain describing a free consultation and proof of payment can be provided. Merchant refuses to reply to any communication.
Product_Or_Service: Tattoo deposit
Order_Number: XXXXXc

Desired Outcome

Refund I would like a full refund of the deposit paid.

The customer was interested in a very large custom design tattoo. The artist spent three hours in drawing and custom design the art piece. The customer was very happy and excited and asked to book his appointment to the following business day which was Saturday. Saturday is the busiest day of the week. The artist had to clear his schedule to be able to tattoo such a large tattoo design. He had to cancel a number of appointments for the following day. The customer was charged a deposit amount to secure the appointment and for the time was used for the design. Later that evening the customer called and asked to get a copy of the custom art design. It is against the studio policy to provide a copy of custom designs before it was tattooed, but since the customer claimed that he was under time pressure, the manager agreed to provide the customer with the copy. The customer took the design and two hour later Friday night asked for the deposit money back and to cancel the appointment. The deposit was applied to the balance of the hours spent on the designing of the art work and the cancelation of the appointment. the cancelation of the appointment caused the artist to lose the Saturday working day. The studio has photos and documents that show the special graphic designing technics that the artist used for the custom design. The artist used a simulation software in order to project the tattoo sleeve design on the entire arm of the customer to demo the design for sizing, proportion and estimation of work hours. the customer received services which are equal to the deposit amount. The customer was told that if he will reschedule his tattoo appointment , the deposit amount will be deducted from the entire tattoo amount that was originally agreed for.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The draw up did not take three hours as claimed. It took one hour and was part of the "free consultation and draw up" as stated in the original email documents. Everything that was said in a verbal agreement is hear-say and the merchant can claim anything. If the shop said it took three hours to draw the tattoo, please provide the security camera footage of me in the shop for three hours. Yes, I paid a deposit because I liked the tattoo and wanted to get it but after thinking it over more, I decided not to do it. No other services were rendered besides the draw up and tattoo appointment schedule.
